Why The Owner chose Delaware River Valley

This secluded yet conveniently located home on 3+ private leveled acres of woods is just over 2+ hrs. from NYC. Private Beaverkill frontage on renowned river is perfect for fly-fishing and kayaking. We are located in Catskill nat'l park where great hiking trails are only 10 minutes away. It is not a highly populated area so you feel like you are getting away from it all, yet you are close enough to all modern conveniences such as the movie theater, bowling, supermarkets and restaurants if you so chose. The topography is beautiful here in Upstate NY.

What makes this house unique

The river is at your doorstep and the privacy provides a feeling of tranquility. Breathtaking scenery and wildlife. Wonderfully landscaped with great views from every room in the house whether mountain, river, or woods. At night, sit by a bonfire down by the river or relax in the living room in front of the fireplace. The river is so clear and clean it is a pleasure to cool off in. Bird watch from the breakfast nook as you drink your morning coffee. You will feel very relaxed and comfortable here without giving up any amenities!

GREAT STEAMSIDE HOME

  • 5 of 5

The home was wonderful. Loved the porches, kitchen and main living room with the view of the yard/stream and the wood burning stove. We had plenty of room for 6 and enjoyed great access to the Beaverkill.

Owner was very helpful and responsive.

Will stay here again

Absolutely Perfect

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had a wonderful stay. Your home was nicely decorated, spacious, clean, comfortable, and was stocked with all the basic necessities and more. Our dogs had a blast running in and out of the river and all around the large well maintained property. We couldn't believe how clean the river was, and every morning we watched a family of deer from the master bedroom as they grazed and passed through the property. We also enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit in the evenings and just taking in all of natures beauty around us. Thank you, Seth and Leslie, for being so accommodating and sharing your home with us. We hope to come back again in the spring.

Absolutely Perfect

Our stay was everything we had hoped for. The house is nicely decorated, very comfortable, spacious, clean and well stocked with basic necessities and more. The home and property was very well maintained. We enjoyed sitting by the river and were amazed how clear the water was. In the evenings we relaxed by the fire pit. Our two dogs had a blast running in and out of the river and all around the yard. Every morning at sun rise, a family of deer would graze in the open field behind the master bedroom. We had a very relaxing vacation in this peaceful and beautiful place of yours. We are so appreciative to you both, Seth and Leslie for sharing their home with us, their kindness, and for being available to answer any questions we had whenever we called. We hope to come again in the spring.

Exceptional property easy to work with owners

  • 5 of 5

The property was as described and more. My family of five (wife, son 17 daughter 12, and son 5) stayed along with my sister and brother-in-law. The sleeping arrangements were very comfortable. We brought along our two dogs (their family too and the owners echoed that sentiment) and there was plenty of room for them to run. Our beagle mix loved the water as did the children. The house has everything you need to spend a quiet time away from the hustle and bustle. We enjoyed taking drives around to experience the local culture as the area has plenty to offer. The owners were exceptionally helpful and tremendously flexible...we couldn't have asked for more from them. Deposit was return essentially immediately. Great home, great location, great owners. Thanks for allowing up our family to enjoy your home!

Pretty place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 5 days and enjoyed the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The bushes across the front of the house had recently been trimmed so we had a great view of the river from the house. There is also seating provided to sit down by the river and watch the water gently flow along. Awesome house! Seth and Leslie are awesome people!

Perfect 4th of July weekend

  • 5 of 5

We lucked and had incredible weather but even if we hadn't, this house is the perfect getaway and we can't wait to go back! The pictures don't really do it justice - the house is beautiful, comfortable and well-equipped and the yard is INCREDIBLE. I didn't want to leave to go back to the city and being surrounded by such lush, green surroundings for three days. We were a group of three couples and a baby and didn't once feel crowded. We BBQ'd and ate out on the deck, enjoyed the firepit and canoed up the river one day. Seth and Lesley are so friendly and easy to work with, I highly recommend anyone looking for a peaceful, secluded escape to rent this gorgeous slice of paradise.
