This is a lovely, well kept, clean and beautifully decorated four bedroom home. It is located in Pocasset, MA off of Wings Neck Road on a dead end street (Center Street) with a private beach at the end. Beach includes a dock for boating. The house is located 4 doors away from the water. The home features an outdoor deck, new outdoor shower, and long driveway to hold at least four cars. The new shed holds two kayaks, 10 beach chairs, etc.. All four bedrooms are large and the master bedroom contains a queen size bed, full couch and chair, two bureaus, TV, linen closet and large clothes closet. There is also a Queen size bed in one of the 3 upstairs bedrooms. The house has a new roof, new shingle siding and all new windows. The kitchen has been updated with granite countertops, all new appliances including refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, microwave, as well as a washer and dryer. The down stairs bath was newly renovated. All bedrooms come with clean linens/towels.
Welcome to our home. We have spent many happy vacations here in Pocasset. My husband and I bought this beach house in 2002 and have done many upgrades to make this a comfortable summer home for ourselves and our four children (all adults now).
Tom and Patsy Condon purchased this house in 2002
This is a wonderful area of the cape. It is an hour to Boston and just over the bridge in the town of Bourne. There are several villages of Bourne and Pocasset is one of them. You can walk or bicycle the canal, or Wings Neck to the Lighthouse. There is little traffic in Pocasset which truly makes it a special place on the Cape. The house is decorated nicely with all comfortable furnishings and comfortable mattresses. It is one of the cleanest homes you will ever rent! Bicycles, kayaks, sand chairs are all available for your use. Fresh, clean linens and towels are also included with this rental.
We loved this home. So close to the beach, and two terrific restaurants(Lobster Trap and Chart Room). There is another nice community beach less then a mile away. The road was great for the kids to bike. Grocery store and liquor store also convenient. Got to meet the owner. Lovely lady that was most helpful. Will go back again.
We had a great time staying in this wonderful Pocasset beach house. The location is wonderful - on a private road only 4 houses from the private beach and dock. The house is really clean - which is a major plus for me! We only used the air conditioning once - the ceiling and window fans kept things cool even on warmer days. I was concerned at first about the size of the living room area, but even with 8 people riding out (Tropical Storm) Arthur all day it didn't feel crowded at all. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms quite roomy, the beds very comfortable.
We enjoyed the use of the kayaks and the bikes. Both the Cape Cod Canal and the Shining Sea bike trails offer great biking experiences. We tried minigolf in Sandwich and Cataumet, visited the Heritage Museum in Sandwich (not to be missed), the aquarium in Woods Hole, and ate lots of fresh seafood! Watching the sunsets over the bay from the dock down the street added to the experience. A perfect house to enjoy a true Cape Cod vacation! Patsy was very helpful and answered any questions we had. She even left a wine basket and fresh flowers! We would certainly recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet stay in the upper Cape.
