1400 sq/ft townhouse! 3 floors furnished floors! Two master bedrooms on top floor with queen size beds in each. Private individual bathrooms on same floor. Additional sleeping area on first floor with private bathroom. Private laundry room with washer and dryer. Located next to the Morrissey run. Ski in ski out! All the amenities of home. 5 minute walk to village. Quite and safe!

I purchased this townhouse after one visit to Sun Peaks! When not in use, I like others to experience what Sun Peaks has to offer. I tried to furnish the townhouse so that one would feel more comfortable then staying at a hotel.

Why Lee Diallo chose British Columbia Mountains

Sun Peaks is an up an coming hot spot for skiers and boarders. International competition for both. Training facility for the 2010 Austrian and Korean Olympic ski team! Located further inland than Whistler, the snow is much dryer. Overall cost to stay at Sun Peaks is also much less. Sun Peaks is family friendly and still has that small town feeling and comfort. Scheduled future development will further enhance Sun Peaks popularity.

Extremely Disappointed

The townhouse was in a great location and the hot tub was great. However, was lacking the fundamentals of a vacation rental. The basic amenities were not provided. There was no salt & pepper, not enough paper towel, and no dish detergent. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The towels were old and had holes in them. The shower heads barely had enough pressure to rinse the shampoo out of your hair. The electronics were outdated. We brought up a bunch of steaks for a nice dinner, only to find out renters are not permitted to use the bbq. We would not stay here again!

Also as previously mentioned in other reviews the neighbors are noisy, there bass vibrants through the whole townhouse!

Owner's Response: I agree a rental should have basic amenities like salt, pepper, paper towels and dish detergent. This is something I pay the management company to maintain and will look into it. I have 5 beds in the rental unit, where they all uncomfortable? Water pressure on the mountain top is something I'm not able to control. If low water pressure was a problem at my unit, it would have been a problem at other units as well. Prior to agreeing to rent this unit, renters are able to view many pictures. There are multiple pictures of the TV's and stereo. No it's not the latest electronic equipment available, but there should be no surprise when renters arrive. I would look at this with more concern if I were told the electronics in the unit were not working. This does not seem to be the case! Not sure what let the renters to believe they could have a BBQ? There is no mention of the unit having a BBQ grill. Yes there is a BBQ grill at the location, but it is for the owners use. A renter would not know this before hand! Again upon reading the description of the amenities for this unit, a BBQ grill is not mentioned! Not sure why these issues were not mentioned to the management company who's contact information is given prior to checking in? They are located on the mountain top and respond quickly. Regards,

Good and bad points

Overall it was a very nice townhouse. It was nicely decorated, the beds were comfortable, the sheets were soft and clean. The location was terrific with a short walk to the village. Ski in and out was great.

Unfortunately, we were VERY disappointed by the noise the neighbours made on the first night. I am far from being prude but the bass from the music was way too loud. It vibrated the whole place. It started at 8pm. By 2am I had to go next door to complain. Also there were about 8 people outside in the hot tub making a racquet. It was all too much as we had skiing lessons booked at 8am. Also all three bathrooms had dirty water rings in the toilets. Considering what I paid per night, I expected clean bathroom.

Lastly, it wasn't until I was charged that I realized the amount was in American dollars, even though we are Canadian visiting a Canadian destination, so beware!!!!!

Owner's Response: Hello I will make sure my management company pays more attention to the toilet water ring. Regarding the noise. Trails Edge is a very quite complex. As you recommended, Trails Edge is great for families with young children, families with teenagers. However many units are rental units and it is very difficult to determine who will be next door. The information a potential renter gives upon making the rental agreement is all we have to go by. If a renter states the rental will be for a family of four and in reality it is for a fraternity party, the owner has no way of knowing. Until after the fact. Regarding the currency it is advertised in the currency for your country, and then converted to USD, The rate quoted in various currencies takes into consideration the exchange rate. Please not this is not a situation were you are quoted in a non US currency and when you receive your bill it is in a higher amount converted to USD. The amount quoted is the amount paid converted to USD. In addition my cancellation policy also allows the renter to cancel the rental agreement two weeks or more from the date of arrival without any penalties. Regards, Owner
