Our second home is located 100 feet above the Pacific Ocean, with mountain views across the bay, and two ocean front golf holes of the 18 hole Jack Nicklaus Kiele golf course in front of you. Even the back door has a great view of the 38 acre Kauai Lagoons with manicured grounds and secluded walking trails. Our home is called 'Pukalani' which is Hawaiian for 'Heaven's Door.' The minute you walk through the door, you will see 'Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away'. You will know you are in paradise. Kauai has many fun activities, but you will find it hard to leave the beauty and amenities of Pukalani. Our condo is the perfect place to stay if you are attending a meeting or event at the Marriott Kauai Beach Club. We are just a short walk or shorter drive to the Marriott Hotel. Why stay in a hotel room when you can be staying in a new two bedroom condo with a gourmet kitchen and breath taking views.
This is the first time any condo at the Marriott Grand Residence at Kauai Lagoons has been offered for rental. Our rental fee is a great bargain compared to renting a hotel room, so book early to guarantee a reservation and your perfect dream vacation.
Also a free shuttle is available for pick up and return to the Marriott Hotel.
We welcome you to our island home. Ron and Alice
My wife and I live in the flat area of Central Illinois. We fell in love with Kauai on our first visit in 1976 and have been back many times since then. We purchased this new condo in 2009 as a place to renew our spirit each year, and also to entertain our children and grandchildren. We know Pukalani will do the same for you.
The Owner purchased this condo in 2009
For years on our annual vacations to Kauai, we would take walks by this location and stop and marvel at the beauty of the view. Finally after 12 years of waiting, Marriott built this beautiful condo on the location we have loved for so many years. We purchased early and obtained what we feel is the best view.
The condo is close to great shopping, airport, movies, local farmer's markets, yet it feels so remote and peaceful. The full gourmet kitchen makes dining in a pleasure with a spectacular view. We also enjoy walking the beautiful trails along the Lagoons and watching for wildlife and showy tropical flowers. The ocean is located just outside our door. Free parking is behind our building and only a few steps from our second story condo. Steps and an elevator or available for easy access.
Even before arriving, we had excellent communication from the owner of the property who couldn't have been more helpful, even providing suggestions for logistics, shopping and children's activities. The local property manager was also incredibly helpful and available at all times. The property itself is perfectly maintained, had high end appliances, comfortable beds and an incredible view of the water and golf course at Pukalani. The golf course crew starts mowing and blowing around 5:30 am daily, so if you like to sleep beyond that, plan on closing the doors and windows at night and placing the A/C on. I personally don't like A/C, but it was a very good system, quiet, efficient and not blowing on your face while sleeping. The location was perfect for Kauai, centrally located and a great base of operations to access the whole island. We went to a different beach each day with never more than an hour drive and of course there are beautiful beaches very close by as well! Not to mention a great pool on the Marriott property itself. At the pool, they had a daily happy hour with food, cocktails or both and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. It was also very nice that there were gas grills on the property for guest use, each with a table/umbrella and running water. We grilled out a couple of nights and it was very nice and a great way to socialize with other guests too. All in all, we had a great time at Pukalani and can't recommend this particular property enough! We will certainly be back!! Mahalo, Ron!!
We split our stay in Kauai between this rental unit and a unit in the same property but under Marriott Vacation Club. The difference is staggering. The marriott is very nice but essentially a hotel dwelling. This rental unit is a home with amazing views and so very quiet. Probably because it is an owners bldg which seems to have a very different type of visitors. Anything u could ever need is available in the unit. We were very spoiled. Thank you so much for an outstanding experience.
This is our second year to stay at Pukalani and we will be back next year! The view is BREATHTAKING!! The moment you walk in you start to relax. Ron is so pleasant and accommodating. We have stayed in many condos on Kauai but this one fits all our needs and more! It is so well taken care of and clean. The location is very central and close to wonderful restaurants. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. We love to grill out and watch the boats coming in and out the harbor! Sitting on the lanai cannot be beat! Can't wait to come back!! Aloha Ron and Alice
The views from this condo are absolutely breathtaking. If you arrive at night like we did you will be blown away by the view that awaits you in the morning. The lanai is enormous and when you slide open the door it turns into an extension of the living room. The grounds are immaculate and are maintained daily. If you are a grill master you will thoroughly enjoy the BBQ's that are on the property. The pool at this property is the best I have ever been in. It is worth every penny.
This well appointed, contemporary condo has the most amazing view of Nawiliwili Harbor. You can watch the container and cruise ships pass by from the windows or balcony. Very comfortable and welcoming unit.
After my inquiry, Ron called and assured me that we (2 50+ and 2 teens) would absolutely be thrilled with Pukalani. He was right! As others have stated: the unit is top notch, everything needed is there, views across the golf course to the water below are fantastic (not many golfers hit the green, btw), the pool is appropriately sized and very nice, the grounds are immaculate, the fitness center is adjacent and well-equipped, and it is quiet. We explored the whole island and this was a central location to begin our treks. Good food is around the corner (Duke's, others). For a more-than-satisfying breakfast, try the Loco Moco's at the Feral Pig. The south shore (Poipu) has interesting shops and the Beach House was a superb place to celebrate the spouse's 50th. Rafting the Na Pali coast was an adventurous outing that saw great topography, waterfalls, sea caves and spinner dolphins. Best of all was coming back to a great home base that met our expectations-----and then some. Thanks for sharing Pukalani Ron!
Great walking trails on property with 40 acre lagoon view out back door and along ocean, watch whales from lanai, over looking Running Waters Beach, light house view, watch cruise ships and boats coming into and out of the harbor
