Pinnacle Farm is a place for enjoying the magnificent view and the outdoors even when in the house looking out at the mountains. It is 1/4 of a mile off Route 57 on the side of a hill where you almost always get a breeze in the summer and lots of privacy.
The place includes a SWIMMING POOL with an unbelievable view, tennis court, barn and fields for horses, a trout pond, walking trails including one to the top of Dry Hill looking down on Lake Buel and across at Mount Everett, an apple orchard you can pick from, and easy access to all of the Berkshire activities such as Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow Dance, Berkshire Music Camp, Mepal Manor Spa less than a mile away, excellent restaurants, Butternut Basin skiing 6 miles away and much, much more.
The house has a rustic charm that is conducive to relaxation and fun. Both the living room and suite-sitting room have day beds that can be used as extra sleeping quarters.
We do charge a one time $100 additional guest fee per stay for any number of guests over 6.
Just returned from a long weekend at Pinnacle Farm. The home owner is welcoming to families with dogs and our two pooches enjoyed their stay as much as we did. Plenty of beds and the three bathrooms made getting up and out easy each morning to visit the nearby towns of Lenox, Stockbridge, and Great Barrington. There were steep hills to satisfy the bike riders in our party as well as easy hikes at York Lake and of course the outlets in Lee. Still munching on some of the juicy apples we picked from the tree located at the breezeway.
We just came back from a fantastic week at Pinnacle Farm. The house was completely charming and comfortable, and the grounds were lovely. The house is situated on a hill, overlooking the rolling hills and valleys beyond, and given that the house's back yard area faces west the sunsets were spectacular. The pool was large and has the same views across the hills. I don't play tennis, but several of my friends do and love the courts and the grounds around.
The kitchen was well-appointed and spacious, and there were plenty of linens, towels, etc. Literally a home away from home. It is very close to Great Barrington, Stockbridge, Lenox etc. so to go shopping or take a day trip to visit historic sites was very easy. I wish I were still there! Can't wait to get back to Pinnacle Farm.
This is an incredible spot to indulge in total relaxation. We came for a week with our two children, ages 7 and 4. The property is spacious and well-stocked, and there are so many ways to entertain yourself you may never need to leave the grounds. You can swim in the pool, hike in the woods, play tennis on the courts, or just picnic under an apple tree. It's a quick trip to Great Barrington for groceries, restaurants, and shopping. We hope to come back again next summer!
We rented Pinnacle farm with a group of our friends, all in our late twenties. We had the best time! The house is so peaceful and secluded and is in a great location to visit the many wonderful attractions of the southern Berkshires. The house was large and had great character, I love that we could all eat our meals together at one table. The pool is divine.
Thank you to the Pell Family for letting us rent your beautiful family retreat!
