This place was perfect!
Everything was great, the house is so comfortable and had everything we needed! The gardens and interior where beautiful, the owner was responsive and obviously cared that people enjoy their stay. Loved it!
Thank you so much, David. I hope you'll consider a revisit soon!
“Grey Gardens” GREAT GARDENS
The house is as advertised, quiet, quaint, and being just off commercial street, on the east end, it’s perfect for family get aways! The house is close enough but away from the noise.
3 rooms with queen beds perfect for 6. Great kitchen, fully stocked with whatever you need to enjoy a home cooked meal. Outdoor shower came in handy coming from the beach.
The hosts were amazingly responsive and gracious. Pet friendly, our pup had everything he wanted. Very sweet Neihbor!
Movies were available for those rainy days indoors, as well and puzzles and games galore.
This was truly home Away! And we appreciate Garth and Doug for allowing us in their home.
Jeff & Moose & Pepe
Relaxation at its Finest!
A group of 6 of us traveled from various parts of the country (AZ, KS, CO, PA) to gather at Garth’s home to celebrate our friend’s upcoming nuptials. It was the perfect spot for us!
Starting with the home itself: The description of this house is exactly as it appeared- charming cottage, clean, updated and modern and all necessities you could need. We slept 6 comfortably and while we had to get creative with shower schedules, the outdoor shower was well loved! Great water pressure, hot, private from neighbors- just an extension of the bathroom really. We appreciated the books, quiet gardens behind the home, the temp of the house was cool and if needed, AC units were available. Kitchen was fully stocked with anything you could need to cook. We could sleep for hours with the mild house temps and super comfy beds!! Very clean home, linens and towels provided (bring your own beach towels). Though there is a TV, we never turned it on because PTown has so many great things to offer. Garth was super responsive, very accommodating and welcoming. We truly appreciated the hospitality!
Around town: This home is located on the East End and is about a mile walk to MacMillan Pier (where the ferry from Boston arrives). This is also the distance to get to most restaurants and bars on Commercial Street. Definitely a doable walk. Use Uber if needed and just know that cab companies charge a flat rate of $7 per person no matter the distance you’re traveling (for our group of 6, this for real pricey real fast). We rented bikes from Provincetown Bikes on Bradford St (not to be confused with PTown Bike rental) and they were awesome! Super helpful, great bikes too (bike through the dunes to Race Point Beach- nice ride, a bit hilly, but beautiful!)
Fanizzi’s is a 2 minute walk and has a fantastic Sunday Brunch ($14.95 pp) and water front views. Mac’s Seafood is a drive but awesome food. Feel free to message me for more tips and be sure to stay here!
Perfect and Welcoming home!
My friends, our dogs, and I stayed at this beautiful home. It was very clean and had all amenities we needed. The owner, Garth, was very responsive and informative during our stay. It was a little bit of a walk to downtown, but scenic and perfect for our dogs to get some exercise. The neighborhood is quiet and neighbors are friendly. Overall, I strongly recommend anyone that wants to visit Provincetown!
Wonderful location.had everything one might need. Neat and clean. Would stay again.
Adorable cozy and comfortable cottage
We absolutely loved our stay at this cottage in Provincetown. 5 of us stayed at the house and felt very comfortable. The decor was cute, warm and inviting. The fully equipped kitchen made cooking in a breeze. The two parking spaces eliminated the need for looking for street parking.
The only 2 down sides would be the bathroom situation and the spotty wifi. For 5 people, only one shower made getting ready a bit of a challenge...however the outdoor shower was a great addition since the weather was perfect for outdoor showering. Also, the wifi was very unreliable...but that is an easy fix.
Would definitely stay there again!
Thank you for your thoughtful review! We will be certain to verify that the wifi is working properly, this is the first time we've received a notice concerning an issue - many thanks!
This home is in the east end of Provincetown and very accessible to the beach (one tiny block!), galleries and restaurants. The east end of town is slightly more residential in feel and offers a quieter setting for friends and families. All of the fun and frolic of Commercial Street is a short walk or bike ride away.
