Katherine purchased this house in 2005
I bought this house because of the great floorplan for entertaining, the great neighborhood amenities including pools, hiking trails, parks, the safety and quality of the neighborhood, and the great location relative to things to do in Austin.
This was an absolutely great place to spend the week leading up to our son's wedding -- lots to do, comfortable rooms, great kitchen.
Really glad to find this house for ACL Fest Weekend 2. We enjoyed the 4 LED TVs, the fire pit on the back deck, and the great running trails in the neighborhood. The size of the home is great - 6 beds and nice large living areas to hang out. It's a short drive to Downtown and Zilker and there are some cool venues right near the house - I-Fly, the lakes, a dine-in movie theatre -- will definitely be back.
Perfect, felt like home, fully equipped kitchen, bath towels and linens were more than adequate, shopping, restaurants close by. Owner Katherine very prompt and helpful. Look forward to staying again.
We recently spent one week in this spacious home with a party of 8. Everyone had their own room and plenty of space to spread out or hang out together. The location is great as well! Close to Lake Travis and all shopping is convenient. It is nice that the owner provides use of the community pool but our group spent all of our outdoor time at state parks and natural swimming holes of which the area has many. Additionally, the neighborhood is very quiet. The owner is very responsive. Our trip was at time that was too hot to make use of the large deck and grill outside but that would be nice in the fall. The property could use a little tlc but that is all cosmetic and doesn't affect overall usage of the home for a large group. Overall, great location to make home base for a week!
Wonderful home in a nice area. Close to groceries and some good restaurants.
Katherine is Great! She was just a phone call or text away. This was our second VRBO rental,
we will use this service many more times.
Came down for the weekend with a group of 10 and was a very beautiful and comfortable house! Definitely will stay here again next time we visit Austin!
It was my first VRBO experience, and Katherine was really great and communicating and explaining everything to me.
Her house is really beautiful and accommodated everyone in our group really comfortably. Her location is very private and accessible to all necessities as well.
The property is very well maintained and spacious along with the a beautiful backyard and deck.
Katherine communicates very well via text/email as needed.
I would highly recommend her property if anyone is looking for a house in the Austin area.
This Austin property offers great access to both downtown and lake venues. Enjoy restaurants with music and dancing on decks with lakeviews. For indoor entertainment, head to the nearby iFly for skydiving, or the 'Main Event' for laser tag, or indoor rock climbing, bowling or billiards. Other day activities within 5 to 30 minutes of the house include boating on Lake Travis, kayaking on Lady Bird Lake, swimming in Barton Springs Pool, touring the Bob Bullock History Museum, the State Capitol, or LBJ Library. The home is right in the middle of Austin's three best outdoor shopping malls - The Arboretum, the Domain, the Hill Country Galleria -- all featuring great outdoor seating with sidewalk cafes, fountains, restaurants, and movie theatres. Recommended day trips out from Austin include the San Antonio River Walk, hill country wine tastings, shopping Fredericksburg, hiking Enchanted Rock.
The home is minutes from major employers including Oracle, National Instruments, Apple and Flextronics. Concordia University and the SAS Institute are 5 minutes from the house.
