About the property

House, 5 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 10)

Accommodations: Vacation House, 5 Bedrooms 3 Baths (Sleeps 10) Crib & Highchair available upon prior request. The House sleeps ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM of 10 plus baby in a crib.

'MOOSE CROSSING' is a 2,900 sqft house set on a slight rise bordering Gallatin National Forest & overlooking Lions Head Peak along the Continental Divide. This is a restful spot & could be your next Rocky Mountain vacation adventure!

The house is 'upside-down' with the living room, kitchen, entertainment area & master bedroom/bathroom on the second floor (maximizing your view). Vaulted ceilings & landscape windows overlook the West Yellowstone Valley & the Continental Divide - the Backbone of the Rocky Mountains (see photos of actual view). There is a great feeling of openness either inside or outside. Four bedrooms & 2 full baths are on the ground floor (see floor plans in photos).

This distinctive vacation home is located just 7 miles west of West Yellowstone, MT, the gateway to Yellowstone National Park.

To go on about how unbelievably awesome Yellowstone is would be redundant. You wouldn't be looking here if you didn't already know, but suffice to say, no matter what you want in terms of the out-of-doors, wilderness, tranquility and complete spiritual recharge - it is here. Fishing, hiking (walking) through the woods, wolves, bears, elk, moose… or just sitting on the deck...

The house is newly renovated and looking absolutely beautiful.

'I am in love with Montana. For other states I have admiration, respect, recognition, even some affection, but with Montana it is love... It seems to me that Montana is a great splash of grandure. The scale is huge but not overpowering. The land is rich with grass and color, and the mountains are the kind I would create if mountains were ever put on my agenda. It seems to me that the frantic bustle of America was not in Montana.'

A beautiful and comfortable house

  • 5 of 5

The property is beautiful and relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay. It offers the comfort of one's own home with plentiful of supplies. It's situated in a very quiet and convenient location. I wish we had more time to stay in the house. I would be happy to recommend it to our friends.

Excellent!

  • 5 of 5

This is one of the best vacation homes that we have ever stayed in. It has the perfect layout. It is spacious, has a well stocked kitchen and it is in a great location. There was plenty of snow and we had a wonderful time. We will definitely want to stay here again on our next Yellowstone adventure.

Senior Trip with two Mom's tagging along:)

  • 5 of 5

We all felt welcomed from the moment we stepped into the house. Freshly cut flowers on the dining table, cooking spices in the cabinets. Plenty of dinnerware, pots, plans, space for groceries. Very roomy.

A wonderful home for 8 high school seniors and two Mom's. The Mom's cooked the meals, the kids cleaned up. Enjoyed hiking in the area when mot at Yellowstone National Park. Ate out on the deck a few nights. The fire place came in handy to cook s'mores. Everyone had a good night sleep for all nights. This home is big enough for all to be together or to have a space for alone time.

The senior who organized this trip will be back, hopefully in the next year or two. Thank you. We all ahd a wonderful time.

Great Place

  • 5 of 5

The perfect weekend getaway. Way better then a hotel or camper. Enough room for multiple families. Great place to prepare your own meals. Close enough to town, and Yellowstone, but also far enough away. Definitely worth going back. We all had a great time.

2nd time at this home

  • 5 of 5

Our family is scattered from Califonia, Washington and Montana. The last 3 years we have had a family reunion between Christmas and New Years. We need to rent at least 3 homes for this event. I made a mistake last year and did not get my reservation into Moose Crossing in time and needed to rent 3 other houses. This year we got back on track and rented Moose Crossing first. This is the cabin that my wife and I prefer, it has the best views, and by far the best layout. While we still need 3 cabins for our family, Moose Crossing is by far the best value in the entire area. We shall return. Plenty of parking for cars and snowmobils. Thanks

Please discuss with me about pets. If they are older "family members" we don't mind. We do not allow dogs under 2 years of age and they can not be left alone in the house at any time. Yellowstone welcomes pets on a leash.
