Smokey Mountain Log Cabin on ten acres, 3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, Amazing Views
Terry and Elizabeth Lasseter have been enjoying the Smoky mountains for nearly 40 years so felt it only natural to build their own cabin. Terry is a retired mailman and Elizabeth is a high school virtual school teacher. They have been avid kayakers, hikers, and nature lovers who fell in love with mountain life. They hope you love the cabin as much as they do!!
Lasseters purchased this Cabin in 2003
Why Lasseters chose Bryson City
After camping in the mountains for years, we finally started renting cabins. We then decided to build our own so we could own a piece of heaven! We looked for two years to find just the right spot. It has privacy and serenity, yet is convenient to town and all the mountain activities we love. We could not find just the right floor plans, so drew our own to build the perfect place to build forever memories.
What makes this Cabin unique
It is secluded and private, yet convenient to get to all the places we enjoy, and the drive into town is absolutely beautiful. Although there are very few neighbors, the ones we have are friendly and treat us like family. We especially enjoy the serenity of hiking around the mountain, picking blackberries or viewing wildlife. After a long day of kayaking or hiking some trails, we can relax in the hot tub to take in the view or sit in the rocking chairs on the porch or gaze out the window from the living room or bedroom. No matter which we choose, it is like heaven on earth!

Magnificent views, lovely home, somewhat daunting drive up from the valley to the home and mountain top
This cabin and property was much better in person and it was already awesome looking at online! We have been coming to the Smokies for 12 years and staying in cabins and we have only really liked/enjoyed 2 cabins and this is one of them! It is secluded and has an awesome view of the mountains and sunsets. Cabin is very clean and spacious. I would recommend this place!
Breathtaking Views w/Gorgeous sunsets
This cabin is situated approximately 1/2 mile (2582) elevation with spectacular views! Sunsets are absolutely breathtaking from the front porch rockers and hot tub! Will definitely need vehicle capable to climb steep mountain!
Uncorked Train Ride -Girls Weekend was an absolute success!
Would only suggest.. getting up mountain to cabin before dark, small, winding, high road... and DARK!! 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Property was as described. Owner very responsive when we contacted them. The drive up to the house made me nervous, I don't know what we would have done if we would have encountered more traffic! The views from the house were spectacular! The house has large windows to showcase the sunrises and sunsets over the mountains! It was convenient that there was a bathroom on every level with each sleeping area. Only one bedroom has a door, so it did not have much privacy, but because they were in different levels there was some seperation. The house is not to far from town and grocery store, but without traffic noise and very peaceful!
Amazing view in Bryson city.
The view was amazing. The drive up the mountain is a bit rough but the view and seclusion are worth it. The hot tub was very relaxing after a day of adventure. The cabin is close to deep creek where the tubing is great and three waterfalls to enjoy. The cabin is fully equipped and the owner was great to work with. Humming birds were everywhere and wild turkeys passed by in the woods.
Cabin was perfect. Probably the best rental property we've stayed in. The view was amazing, everything was clean, the cabin was well equipped, and the owners are very helpful and easy to reach. The drive up to the cabin is scary at first, but our little old front-wheel Hyundai made it just fine, and you'll get used to it.
