tranquility and beauty.
We had a wonderful stay at your lovely lake house. We swam in the lake almost everyday. My stepson brought his kayak he took me out on it. He and his wife left on the kayak one evening at sunset and came back by moonlight. They said it was magical. We visited Longhorn Cavern and also took a scenic drive to Fredericksburg. One afternoon we went to The Slab. That was so much fun. We had perfect weather everyday.....well it was a bit hot but had no rain. We totally enjoyed the deck and looking out over the lake. What a fabulous view. I also loved the bedroom with the picture windows. What a view to wake up to. As you can tell, we had a great time. We would love to visit again. Thank you for sharing your lake house.
Had a wonderful family weekend on the lake. It's close to grocery stores, restaurants, and local attractions but located on a quiet point on the water. The house is generously appointed with everything a large group needs. Plenty of comfortable beds, new linens, plates, small appliances, and outdoor furniture.
Nice grilling area and beautiful shaded deck. New owner Kim is gracious and efficient--a real joy to work with. We had so much fun that we hope to make this a yearly outing!
My family enjoyed our Thanksgiving wkend stay at this house on Lake LBJ. It rained most of the wkend, but we still enjoyed the stay. Too cold and wet to fish or boat, but we enjoyed going into Marble Falls and seeing the Holiday Light display beside Lake Marble Falls, very pretty!! Stopped in the Bluebonnet Cafe for some of their famous pies. The house was roomy, Master bed was very comfortable, and the view of the cove from the bedroom was so beautiful and peaceful, looked just like a painting of a fall Lake scene! Must have been very serene, our 3yr old grandson took a 2 hour nap in that room both days, and he never does that! Only two negatives, Direct TV is unwatchable if it is raining, basically no picture, and other people on street were letting two big dogs run loose. They appeared to be aggressive, and we had to keep an eye out if we had our MinPin out (on a leash) or if our grandson was out in the yard. Not sure if these were vacationers or neighbors. Thanks Bill, we loved the cove and hope to come back in the summer!
We had a large family gathering and used two houses. We found the accommodations to be great! The houses had everything we needed. Really enjoyed the back deck. Our only issue was the swimming area. We didn't feel it was good at all. The kids did enjoy the paddle boat and the fishing, but didn't feel comfortable swimming.
We rented both houses from Bill to accommodate 17 people and a dog. We had a maximum of 24 people there one day. I was the only one who had seen the property before then but nobody was disappointed. The house are appointed with everything you could imagine needing. It was like Bill's family was living there just before us. We rented boats that were delivered and picked up at our dock. We played golf in Kingland. The kids played croquet on the lawn and watched movies. We had bonfires in a fire pit we brought. It was an experience that our whole family will remember for years.
We had such a lovely visit! The home had everything we needed. Lots of room for everyone to have their own bedroom, yet so cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed the amazing view from the beautiful room on the back with all the windows, as well as from the spacious deck. We would definitely visit again. Patti and Bill were very easy to work with, very friendly and available. Thanks!
I Travelled with my husband, two small children and dog here in April 2014. The location is ideal, I could have sat on the deck looking out on the water all day. Pictures do not do home justice. It is the cutest country chic type home with plenty of space. Even our dog had a great time. My husband was able to put in his kayak and go fishing right out the back yard. The home has all essentials. There was even toys that are children enjoyed and movies to watch. Kitchen well appointed. Loved the back bedroom; full of windows with a beautiful view. We were able to use a paddle boat and enjoy the lake. Would love to return in the future.
During spring from the mid-March through most of June the Highland Lakes area turns into a virtual paradise with the fields of wildflowers. First, the Bluebonnets bloom, and they are quickly joined by the red Indian Paintbrush flowers for beautiful fields of red and blue. As these flowers start to fade the fields are taken over by other red, yellow and white flowers. You have to see them to really appreciate how beautiful these fields of flowers are.
