Iron Horse Top floor Studio comfortably sleeps 2 - 4. Feels much more spacious than the typical nice Iron Horse Studio as our condo is a rare top floor unit with new knotty pine tongue and groove vaulted ceiling in the living room section. Enjoy a view of the slopes as well as easy access to and from the slopes. (ON SKI ACCESS LEVEL !)
If you have children, or are just young at heart, you are going to love our Indian themed condo; hand tooled leather pillows, genuine Native American dream catcher, authentic Indian Papoose, Tale of the painted Pony lamp, antler chandelier, canoe chandelier, signed Indian artwork, copper farmhouse sink, granite kitchen counter, GE Slate Gray appliances, etc.
After a long day on the slopes enjoy a soak in the hot tubs or take the kids for a swim in our indoor/outdoor pool; or, work out in the gym.
Free coffee and hot apple cider is available in Iron Horse's comfortable lounge.
Easy to cook full course meals in our fully stocked kitchen or give Mom a break, choose any one of countless area restaurants and take the family out from pizza to gourmet. And, while you can't ski to dinner since the slopes close at 4pm, the shuttle stops right at the front door every 15 minutes or you can even walk to the Village!.

We were an Eastern Ski Family who fell in love with Winter Park after vacationing here several times and purchased what we felt was the best location Winter Park had to offer for both amenities and ski accessability. Ultimately, we decided to take a leap of faith and permanently relocate here. We actually stayed in our Iron Horse condo while our permanent residence was being built. So, we had plenty of time to tweek, and perfect all the comforts of home.
Owner purchased this Condo in 2007
Why Owner chose Winter Park
There is no better place to stay in Winter Park. Unfortunately, all downtown guests who drive or ride the ski shuttle are deposited at the far end of the Village base and have to truck from one end to the other dragging their equipment and possibly even their children just to reach the lifts. No such inconvenience here.

5 Stars!! Southwest Theme in the Rockies-look for mountain goats during the ride up.
Yes a 5 star stay!! Awesome time, Winter Park the last weekend open for skiing was not crowed and it was great to be able to ski in ski out from this condo. My husband was able to rent skis in the shop below and leave them there till he was ready to ski. The 25% discount card Denise left for us to use was appreciated. The unit was super nicely decorated and really upped our mountain experience. The murphy bed was super comfortable and very easy to pull down, (I had been thinking of buying one, and was glad I got to try one out!). Her other bed was a comfy foam too. The lobby had discontinued the use of offering coffee/tea, but the condo had what we needed, including decaf coffee and plenty of creamer! There are restaurants in Winter Park SKI area which you can easily drive to, about 3-5 minutes. The garage (at the ski/ park) offered free parking from 3pm-7am which we decided to do instead of walking to eat dinner. The pizza restaurant was good. We also drove into the town of Winter Park (about 10 minutes away) and found plenty of restaurants, they also have a super market. The building has a vending machine of snacks/cokes. The condo had plush towels, luggage rack, shampoo, cream rinse, body wash, and a Hair Dryer (yay). I enjoyed looking at the mountain from the balcony and watch the skiers. It was the first time we had worked a gas fireplace. All you had to do was adjust the temp control. No lighting of a match. There were plenty of directions left for us, so the stay was very easy. One note, if you have a very high suburban, with a big extra large container on top - the garage ceiling might be too short for you, but we noticed that the main street (close to the condo) had cars parking along it. Regular suburban with a carrier/skis were able to make it fine.
What a beautiful review!
Thank you for also including helpful info for my future guests.
Thank you and please come again!
Fun ski weekend in a super condo
Thank you Denise for being a terrific host.
You're very welcome Mary. Looking forward to your return.
clean and convenient
everything works, a little worried about the slow flush in the toilet, but overall nice quiet stay. Thanks, Denise!
Lauren, Glad your non skiing spouse enjoyed your extended stay at my condo and Iron Horse's amenities as much as you did.
Those water conscious toilets can sometimes be a bit tricky, but, glad it didn't pose any issues requiring me to make a quick 10 minute trip over with my plunger. :)
PERFECT SPACE AND LOCATION
WE LOVED THIS COZY CONDO. EXCELLENT LOCATION AND WE WILL BE BACK! SKI IN SKI OUT!!
Deborah, I am glad you were very pleased with my condo.
Nice location but needs updating
The townhouse is well supplied with everything you might need, clean and cozy. The location is quiet. Underground parking is handy, especially when it snows. The Lift Bus to the Resort for skiers is terrific: they pick up & drop off at the base of the building, transporting guests swiftly to the Base of the WP Resort. Unfortunately, on the second day of our stay the elevator from the fifth floor to the first floor Lift Bus Stop was declared Out of Order by the local fire department. We stayed 3 restless nights due to the very soft, musty Murphy-bed mattress and a moldy humidifier. The Iron Horse property and this townhouse are showing their age and would benefit from updating floors, walls, appliances, fixtures, etc.
Catherine, Thank you for being honest about the nice cleanliness and coziness of my condo. I am glad that you appreciated that it is stocked with everything that you could possibly need. Since I was just departing upon your arrival, I couldn't help but notice the white glove in one hand and a magnifying glass in the other.
While it was unfortunate that one of our elevators went out, the HOA had it fixed the same day even though that meant paying overtime for the elevator company to take care of repairing it on a weekend. Meanwhile, the other two elevators were perfectly operable so perhaps you were hoping to find something, anything to complain about. (customarily I receive 5 star reviews) Meanwhile, my appliances are the very recently released new GE Slate Gray color and the granite and copper farmhouse sink, also newly released champagne bronze decorator quality faucet, removal of the popcorn ceiling and new beam were all installed just prior to this ski season so you do have me scratching my head with your comment that my appliances and fixtures need updating.
Meanwhile, Iron Horse does have a new Board of Directors who implemented a whopping 1 million dollar special assessment on top of our regular dues to address common area sprucing up. Perhaps it will pass your white glove test next time.
Cozy and comfortable and truly ski-in and ski-out.
As advertised. Great location and truly ski-in and ski-out. Cozy unit with nice building amenities.
Worth noting: if you have an SUV with a roof top box, you will not be able to park in the garage, but there is parking right outside the garage and it is still convenient unless there is bad weather.
Steve, Thank you for taking the time to write a review.
