About the property

3 bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 10-12

In the heart of Treasure Island in San Luis Pass, is Tuck's Pointe. Tuck's Pointe is a welcoming and comfortable 1300 square foot beach accessible home with 3 bedrooms, and 2 baths and the beautiful Gulf of Mexico at its doorstep. Relax in this waterfront treasure with vaulted ceilings and abundant windows overlooking incredibly breathtaking and unobstructed panoramic views.

After a fun filled day, retreat to Tuck's Pointe to unwind in the large living room with its big screen TV. or enjoy scenic waterfront dining at the table. Catch an amazing sunrise on the deck with your first cup of coffee, and watch for dolphins playing close to the house. Host a Barbecue on the lower deck while you stand at the waters edge, and gather around the picnic table or go upstairs the deck to enjoy your meal.

San Luis Pass in Treasure Island is a small, quiet family oriented neighborhood. It has the beaches, fishing, and reduced traffic of Surfside, but is ten miles closer to Galveston.

Note, several winter storms have washed the beach directly in front of the home away, however; there is beach about 150 feet from the home.

Super place, has everything!

  • 5 of 5

Stayed for a week in early November. The property is super nice, tastefully decorated, comfy king bed. There were only 2 of us and a dog, but the property accommodates way more people. Seemed to have everything we needed in the kitchen. Has dish tv and internet to keep in touch. Good washer and dryer. Nice neighborhood, people are friendly and wave to you. Best of all....we had the best fishing days of our lives, once the water calmed down! Seriously....I have salt water fished on the Gulf Coast for 40+ years, but this was the best!! Caught really big sheepshead, croaker, nice sand trout, but the best - the bull redfish were running! I caught one easily 34 inches long and my friend caught a 24 incher. A neighbor stopped to help us get the big one out of the water. The people in the two houses next to us were also catching a lot of big redfish. So we had a great vacation and want to come back soon. Our dog liked it too, she could see out the floor to ceiling windows and watch us catching fish off the deck. Can't wait to come back!

RELAXING GETAWAY!

  • 5 of 5

Well, after staying at Tuck's Pointe, for four days, just recently, we can now say that we have rented each one of Tuck's 3 beach houses! We have thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of them! We will continue to keep coming back, that's for sure!

Amazing find!

  • 5 of 5

We decided to take the family on a spur of the moment vacation and submitted the request to the owners who were very responsive. Within 48 hours, we packed up and headed down to San Luis pass. At first glance, from the road, we weren't sure if the property would be what we thought it would be. I am thrilled to report that this little gem exceeded all of our expectations. You are literally at the waters edge with an unobstructed view of the gulf and the rolling waves are practically at your feet. Underneath the house, there is a small deck for surf watching, fishing, or just sitting and enjoying the view from a lower vantage point. At low tide, you can stand in front of the house on the water's edge just past the rocks and walk along the water or fish, but at high tide the water comes up to the rocks so you would definitely need to use the deck if you wanted to fish. As you are facing out towards the gulf, to the left and one house down is a small beach area. To the right about a quarter mile away (you can walk or drive, but there isn't vehicle access from here other than golf carts I think) begins miles and miles of beach.

I have been to many oceanfront homes and have never seen one with such an immaculate interior. This house is cleaner than most hotels and everything looks new and very well maintained. That is no small feat considering the constant assault of the salty, sticky air. The air conditioner works very well, the beds were comfortable, and the washer and dryer were very much appreciated. The listing says it sleeps 12, but it would be pretty crowded with that many people. We had 4 and we could have added up to 4 more people without feeling too crowded. The kitchen has pretty much anything you would need as far as utensils and cookware is concerned. I didn't see a measuring cup, but to be honest, I didn't really need one so I didn't look too hard.

My only cons:

-The bottom stairs and railing are a little loose. Never felt dangerous, but will need repair eventually

-The surf comes in at an angle, not straight on to the house. Not really a con, but it was something I didn't expect and it bothered my OCD just a little.

That is pretty much everything. The owners are great. They are very responsive and know what they are doing. My only word of advice is to pay attention to the instructions they send as you will need to bring items with you. I highly recommend this property. You will not be disappointed!

Great house with a fabulous deck and views.

  • 5 of 5

We were scheduled for one week and loved it so much we had to extend our stay. The house is perfect for fishing and relaxing. It has every amenity you could need. The house is always clean and pretty when we arrive. This is our second summer that we have stayed in this wonderful house and we are already talking about going back before the end of the year. My boys LOVE just being able to fish right there.

The owners are great and will respond quickly with anything you need or request. Thank you Tuck's Pointe for a great vacation.

Great family vacation spot!

  • 5 of 5

Brought my wife and two young kids down for a weekend away. House is comfortable, surprisingly well furnished and very clean. Owner very responsive via text. Great place would recommend highly and will be back.

Top 5 Highlights:

5. Area under house perfect spot for wind-protected bbq cooking.

4. Two beaches both less than 5 minute drive away, and additional beach 5 minute walk away. Very small mini beach two houses down that we visited briefly once - not sure who owns - didn't feel unwelcome.

3. Bait store super close, friendly and helpful. Bring your own rods.

2. Fishing from the deck - if you focus on the ocean, it's like the house floating in the middle of it.

1. OUTDOOR SHOWER - The highlight of my trip. Found myself showering 3-4 times/day just for fun. Wanted to cut a small window so I could see the ocean, but wasn't sure owner would appreciate it. Don't know why anyone would shower inside. Best shower experience in my life. Worth the cost of the whole trip.

Top 1 Lowlight:

1. Visited three weeks ago and I haven't showered since. Nothing will ever live up.
