This beautiful villa is a privately owned residence made available for your vacation enjoyment exclusively by KBM Hawaii Luxury Real Estate and Vacation Rentals.
We just returned home from staying in your condo 406. we enjoyed our stay thoroughly. We especially enjoyed the view of the ocean from the lanai (we even saw whales breaching from there). It was nice to have the pool right next to the beach. I thought the kitchen was beautiful. We also made use of the in-room washer and dryer.
We had a great stay with KBM and Honua Kai. The location of the condo to the beach, ocean, Dukes, etc. is perfect. This is our 2nd stay in this specific condo, and both times we've had an excellent vacation. Some amenities of the condo were nice also - it was nice having an umbrella and chairs available to use. At first, we didn't think we'd use them, but after our first day, we took both and made for a more enjoyable stay at the beach. Other amenities would make it nice for a family with kids. The rooms were set up well with plenty of towels, including beach towels. The new key bracelet system was nice and did lesson the worry about not having our key, because it was on our wrist most of the visit.
The construction next door was in full force, but it did not bother us. The workers seemed to be aware of the condo's next door and tried to be quite, as much as possible, especially early (they start about 6:30). The condo is fairly sound proof, so unless the doors were open, the noise was minimal during the day (however, we were not in the condo often during the day). The site did try to keep the dust down, but they did produce a lot of dust, so the lanai did become dirty during the day, but we could use the broom and take a minute or two to sweep it up and wipe the table as needed. Overall, the construction would not prevent me from renting this condo once again.
A couple negatives - there is an oven for baking, but there are no baking dishes or hot pads for use while baking. We do like to cook in, and with some limitations, we had to modify. The screens to the lanai were zip tied open; this prevented us from closing the screens to keep the bugs out. Unfortunately we couldn't have the lanai doors open at night because of the bugs, and this is one enjoyment we were unable to have while using this condo. I'm guessing these were zipped tied open because people didn't know how to use them and have ruined them in the past. This was disappointing, hopefully this will change. The units of Honua Kai were originally equipped with a safe in the master bedroom of the unit. Unfortunately this was removed from our unit and we were not able to secure valuables in the safe as we left for the day. We've enjoyed this safety feature int he past, but unfortunately not this year.
Overall, we had a wonderful vacation and do recommend this condo.
I had some reservations about working with a property management group for our vacation. With other companies, we have been left disappointed. But KBM was terrific! The unit was clean and in good shape, they made the check in process super easy and they even became an information hub during a fire that caused a power outage. We love KBM and will use their services next time as well!
This was an excellent condo for our week in Maui. It is on the outside of the building, which allowed it to be more quiet than an inner courtyard condo. Being on the 4th floor, you get a great view of the ocean and the mountains alike. Having the empty space/construction space next door did detract from the view a bit, but overall, this space was perfect. We had a great time and this relaxing condo was perfect! Thank you KBM for hosting us well!
My husband and I made the trip to Hawaii to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Our son and daughter-in-law joined us.
We definitely enjoyed our stay in the accommodations you provided.
We had plenty of room with the 2 bedroom/2 bathroom unit. The unit was very attractive and comfortable. We also appreciated being able to use the snorkeling equipment and the cooler.
We were fortunate to have seven beautiful days of weather. My understanding is that that does not always happen in the month of January.
Loved the morning sun that we experienced each day on our lanai. Also, enjoyed being able to view both the ocean and the mountain from the lanai.
One evening we used the resort’s outdoor grills. It was great having dinner out in that beautiful area of the resort.
If we have an opportunity to visit Maui in the future, we will definitely get in touch with you again. Thanks for the great week.
The condo was great. Well kept and had a wonderful view of the ocean. It also had beach chairs, boogie boards sand and inside toys for my grandson We could even watch the whales up on the deck. The property is wonderful and good value for the money. My only complaint was the wind which is not controllable.. We have stayed there before and the weather was perfect. Unfortunetly not this visit. We were even given a late chec kout which was most helpful. Most likely would stay again.
