Quintana Roo House Rental Photos and Description

House, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 10)

Casa de Azucar (House of Sugar) is a brand new house right on the beach in Rio Indio/Majahual. The house is set up perfectly for a family to stay on their own private beach. The 2nd floor has a master suite and a bunk bed room. So a family can all stay on the 2nd floor with the kitchen and a great deck to eat breakfast or dinner as you take in the view of the ocean. If you have more people in your party, the house has 2 additional bedrooms on the ground level each with their own queen bed, with private access to the beach. The house is ideal for 1 or 2 families to enjoy a Mexico beach vacation.

The beach house is a private home located 6 miles north of Majahual – considered the number one cruise ship destination in Mexico during 2007.

The beaches are powder white sand protected by a coral reef just 250 yards off shore. Ideal for swimming and sun bathing. Area is known for world class snorkeling and diving. The reef in front of the property has a large number of beautiful coral heads if you take the time to find them. Snorkeling and dive trips also available in nearby Majahual. Many restaurants and shops are available with more every day. Diving and fishing tours are available.

The home itself is fully self contained with solar electric, gas stove and hot water. Drinking water is bottled and supplied with the house. The house includes maid service and linens. This is a new privately owned house available for the 1st time in the winter of 2010-11. The interior consists of a lovely open contemporary Mexican design with festive tile and native wood throughout the home. In addition, a roof top deck with 360 degrees views of the ocean and lagoons. There is no better place to watch the sunrise or sunset with coffee or a cocktail in hand.

You will find the perfect combination of activities native to the land with the relaxation of your own private home and beach. Great for families or a few families to spend time together on the beach. Please feel free to email or call me with any questions about the property. Also make sure that you check out the photos - the place is visually stunning.

About Aaron Evans

The Evans Family lives in Denver, Colorado and were married in Playa Del Carmen in 2001. We have always loved Mexico and are finally proud to share our own private beach house with other people.

Aaron Evans purchased this house in 2009

Why Aaron Evans chose Quintana Roo

We have always wanted a beautiful and remote beach house in Mexico. This house allows us all of the privacy we could ever want, with a growing and vibrant city less than 10 miles away. This part of Mexico is truly untouched and will amaze anyone who sees it.

What makes this house unique

You will be in a remote location where your family and your family alone can enjoy your own private beach, snorkel right off the beach, fish the ocean or the lagoon behind the house.

Hidden Mexican Gem

  • 5 of 5

My wife, our 2 and half year old son, and I spent 7 nights at this spectacular house in this incredible undiscovered area of Mexico. The house is in a beautiful location and very comfortable. The house has all the amenities you could every need and is charming to boot. We enjoyed breakfasts and cocktails on the rooftop and balcony, swimming in the ocean, and playing and relaxing on the beach. The house and beach peaceful and private. The caretaker made sure were comfortable and that we had everything we needed. Mahahual is a spectacular 15 minute drive away and a gem of a town - totally undiscovered, no large resorts, but plenty of great restaurant and incredible beaches and water. Mahahual and this area is the way Mexico used to be. We were able to do a few fun day trips with ruins and a stunning lake only an hour away. We had the perfect vacation and hope that we can make another trip to Casa Azucar in the future.

Girls trip to paradise

  • 5 of 5

We spent five amazing days at this beautiful house which had natural beauty combined with a house full of amenities. We were so blessed with amazing weather, walks on the beach, kayaking, paddle boarding and snorkeling steps away from our house!. It is a perfect location for relaxation and fun activities with the benefit of your own private beach.

Day trips to Mahahual allowed us the opportunity for great meals, fresh ceviche and margaritas!... Highly recommended to all! Simply cannot wait to return....

Perfect weekend!

  • 5 of 5

I am in love with Mahahual and this darling beach house. For those who don't love how cheesy and commercialized Cancun and Playa del Carmen are, and are in search of a more authentic Mexican vacation experience, I highly recommend this house. It is so charming, with lots of Mexican tile all over the walls, huge banana palms providing shade in the backyard, and a cozy hammock on the upstairs porch. The master bedroom is dreamy, as it overlooks the ocean. We opened the windows and enjoyed the most heavenly breeze as we drifted to sleep each night. The ocean is literally 10 steps from the back porch, and there is a nice, flat beach to sit and soak up the sun. The town of Mahahual is adorable. There are so many cute restaurants right on the beach, and even one that has hammocks in the water. This town is such a gem, and I just pray it doesn't get "discovered" like some of the other once charming beach towns. While I went on a girls weekend, I look forward to bringing my family back.

Undiscovered Paradise

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I were so lucky to find this treasure of a beach house in Mahahual, Mexico! The house was beautifully situated right on the ocean. We truly felt "at home" in this Mexican casa. I loved the decor! An authentic blend of the regional/local art. Just beautiful and I can't wait to return!

loved it!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a fantastic week here for Spring Break, and were fantasizing about building our own beach house by the time we left. This was the first time we have taken a beach vacation and stayed in a rental house vs a hotel/ resort and we could not have been happier with our experience. The house is spacious and cozy and from the minute I walked in I felt at home. The house has a great layout for a big group and an awesome roof top with a seating area. The water is shallow for several hundred yards from shore and the kids snorkeled and played in the water for hours. We didn't know what to expect of the town of Mahahual but found it to be one of our favorite places on the yucatan. There is a great beach in town with restaurants, bars and shops with just enough to do but none of the touristy feeling of cancun or playa del carmen. We stayed in Tulum and Cancun for parts of this vacation, but our stay in Mahahual was by far our favorite. We will definitely return.

Casa Azur

  • 5 of 5

I just enjoyed 8 beautiful days @ casa Azur in Mahahaul. We were a group of young ones, parents, n grandparents. It is a beautiful home well equiped for a beach vacation. We played in the surf, snorkled, fished, n built sand castles. The roof top patio is a beautiful place to enjoy sunset. The town of Mahahaul is quaint, filled w/shopping, n beach side restaurants. Between scuba diving n banana boat riding,.... A fun week was had by all. We definitely will go back to Cass Azur!
