Small but sweet! Lots of wood accents and a fireplace give this recently remodeled studio a warm, cozy feel, perfect for a couple seeking a private mountain getaway or small family looking for an affordable ski vacation where you can park your car in the secure underground lot and forget about it for a few days.
- Walk to lifts!
- Sleeps 4 (1 queen and 2 single bunk beds)
- Indoor Hot Tub perfect for apres ski
- Great mountain views! (See link below for more photos)
For ski and mountain lovers, this cozy, affordable, newly-remodeled studio is located on the big Meadow across the street from Kirkwood Mountain Resort, featuring some of the deepest snow and best ski terrain in the country. A few steps out the back door is direct access to XC ski and snow shoe trails in winter and hiking, mountain biking, spectacular wild flowers and an 18-hole disk golf course in summer. We are on the quiet side of 'The Meadows' building with your own private balcony overlooking the Meadow with spectacular views of Red Cliffs and the surrounding mountains. The main lifts are a short walk (4-5 min.) across the street, or an even shorter shuttle ride, if you prefer not to walk in ski boots. Shuttles run every 10-15 minutes in winter.
One of the nicest features is the on-site, indoor Jacuzzi, just a few steps down the hall adjacent to the building's spacious, newly remodeled lounge with a fireplace, so you don't have to leave the building to take a soak. This is a quiet location near the north end of 'The Meadows' building, providing a relaxing getaway with cozy fireplace (wood supplied), no phones or cable TV (but it does have a DVD/video player and modest film library (or bring your own) to watch movies, and the bar/restaurant 7800 Club nearby has the big screens if you want to catch the “big game.”) For those seeking more excitement, South Lake Tahoe is only a 35 minute drive.
Long before we met and married, we were both 'ski bums' in our former lives. Owning a place in the mountains with close access to the slopes has been a back-burner dream ever since.
Sandy Rintoul purchased this condo in 2009
In two words: Great Skiing! But also access to great hiking, mountain biking, snow shoeing, XC skiing, disk golf and scenery. Better snow than Tahoe, closer drive, less traffic, and much less hustle and bustle. But if you want to catch a show or gamble, South Lake is a little over half an hour drive.

This unit has fun bunkbeds made out of logs. The unit was clean and partially updated. The wood burning fireplace made it cozy. The building is not fancy but it is in a great location and is offered at a decent price. We really enjoyed our stay here.
So convenient and very comfortable. Underground parking was an added plus. Thank you!
My only recommendation would be to have a real coffee pot, or French press.
Small, but perfectly furnished and cozy condo. We were family of four, kids loved the bunkbed, and the queen bed was very comfortable. Great location, hike anywhere you want around. Can't wait for winter, will definately go to Kirkwood and will look if this condo is available. Plus, at skying sezon the hottub should be open, it looked great, but be aware, it is closed at non sezon time.
Located on the meadow-side of The Meadows building on the north end, almost exactly between Timber Creek (Chair 7) and Main Lodge (Chair 6) areas.
