Luxurious 1-bedroom suites (2 available) in the Village Monache . This bright 1-bedroom suite features: a fully equipped expanded kitchenette with granite countertops, living room area with a 32" flat screen TV (cable provided), free wireless internet, a balcony with beautiful views. There is a king size bed with a plush heavenly mattress, ample closet space, and a queen sleeper sofa.

Monache is the best Mammoth has to offer in luxury accommodation. The Monache at the Village, while technically part of the Village, is located across the street from the Village restaurants, shopping and nightlife. It is short walk to gondola which will take you to the slopes of Mammoth Mountain. Monache Resort is located in the same building as the Westin Monache and it was first opened in 2008. The Monache is newer, has nicer finishes and furniture and is quieter than Village rentals.

Enjoy the many amenities the Monache has to offer such as: full 24-hour gym with locker room, year-round heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi, BBQ area, ski rentals onsite, coin-operated laundry facilities, also secured free underground parking. The Monache also offers in-house dining at the lovely Whitebark restaurant.

Book in room massage, dine at White Bark or just relax by the fireplace in your suite with a glass of wine watching the snow fall on the pines.

In the summer the bike shuttle and trolley are steps away and the Village offers exciting events, wine tastings, concerts, restaurants and shopping. Watch movies under the stars and roast marshmallows in the fire pit. Lots of games are scattered throughout the Village square. There is something for adults and kids alike.

You may add mid-stay partial cleaning for $42.00 plus tax

**There is a 3 night minimum stay for almost all weekends. Please DO NOT use "BOOK NOW" if you are booking for less than 3 nights. Minimum stays vary with occupancy and demand and may not be reflected correctly under rates.

***We typically set our nightly rates 4-6 months in advance. In the event you are looking to reserve our property farther in advance and rates are only displayed under our "standard rate" please inquire about our exact rates BEFORE making a "Book It Now" or "Instant Book" reservation. All Instant booking reservations are subject to cancellation and/or revised pricing if made during a time where only our "standard rates" are posted.


Please note that prior to arrival I reserve the right to switch guests from one unit to another of the same type in order to maximize my occupancy. (Just like a hotel). The unit type will always be the same.

We charge $49 for Property Damage Protection. This fee will release you for any accidental damage to the property up to $1,500. We do not collect a deposit. In the event there is damage in excess of $1,500 you will be responsible.

House Rules

Copies of drivers guests drivers licenses or passports are required for last minute bookings made within 7 days of arrival (unfortunately this is necessary as we have had guests pay with stolen credit cards).

*****Due to extreme difficulty finding a custom made part for the door handle and a lack of contractors willing to work on it, the balcony is currently inaccessible. We expect to have this fixed in April.

All units in the Westin Monache are individually owned. Most homeowners contract with the Westin to manage their unit. I refuse to pay the Westin a 60% commission and rent the units myself at discounted rates. When you rent from me you are technically not a Westin guest, however, you will have use of most of the important amenities. You DO have access to the pool, hot spas, gym, free underground parking and internet (at faster speeds than the hotels internet). Technically you are NOT supposed to be able to use the Westin shuttle, room service (you CAN order from the White Bark restaurant in the lobby or have numerous restaurants deliver food to your room) , valet parking or bell service but many guests are able to use these services anyway by asking politely and/or tipping. Most people agree that it is worth saving the money but if you absolutely require all services, you should rent directly from the Westin.

Great property, great location!

My family loved staying here! Great location with easy access to the village, lovely view from the room. ALMOST perfect for a family of 4 -- the only downside was the lack of blinds on the door to the patio. The bright light of the sun woke my kids up much earlier than we'd like. Would definitely stay here again, though.

Great Location/ Floorplan

We always enjoy staying in this building. This unit is well located and has a good floor plan. Disappointed in the maintenance and attention to detail for the price we paid! Better supervision would really help.

Great location for vacation in Mammoth

Had a great time in the condo at the Westin. There were just 2 of us and that was perfect. We had too much gear with our mountain bikes to share. Walking distance to the Village and they were great about letting us through the lobby with the bikes. Everything was in working order and neat and clean. Overlooks the pool so it can be a bit noisy with all the kids. Usually quiets after 6-7pm. Frank was a very responsive owner with emails. Would recommend.

Overlooking the pool

We had a great time! Its near the Village. We left the car in undergorund parking most the trip. Free coffe in the morning downstairs in Lobby...Bonus!!!

The best part was our room overlooked the pool. Which was great for us...we could sit on the patio and watch our daughter and her friend down at the pool. Felt very safe. Condo was clean and modern.

Fantastic stay wonderful resort great room and prime location!

We had an amazing stay at the Village Monache (The Westin) Frank was absolutely the best owner I have ever worked with. We picked up our keys from a local management company not far from the hotel, it was hassle free. It was nice that they are also available to assist if you need anything during your stay. VRBO can be a BIG risk, I have heard about families getting duped. I am so glad I took the chance and I would not hesitate to rent from Frank again. He offered payment through secure 3rd party sources and was upfront about those extra fees, I opted to save even more by direct deposit via his Wells Fargo account. I did some serious online investigating to makes sure he was who he said he was prior to making my deposit. When we arrived at the hotel we were in awe with the beauty of the place and the location was prime. Although we were not technically guest of The Westin Hotel, there was no difference in the way the hotel treated or use of the amenities like the pool and gym. I prefer the BIG savings over the daily house keeping which I suppose you could get from the management company for an added fee. Also there is a laundry room located on the lower level. There was no exclusions I can think of other than the shuttle and I don't even know where the shuttle went to? As the gondola is right there and so was the "ski check" the kind with a human to assist you. There are stairs from the hotel down to the village gondola, yes we counted, 75 of them. We self-parked, I am sure we could have used the valet with a nice tip but I prefer to self-park close to the elevators especially after a trips to the store. The studio unit is small but we knew that and it was just 3 of us. There are larger units available but they were already taken because it was Easter week. I am really looking forward to another visit to Mammoth. Next time depending on how many we have in our party will determine which rental is best for us. Don't hesitate to email Frank asking about availability since he does not use the VRBO calendar, he always replied to my emails. Good Luck and enjoy! I am sure your experience will be as wonderful as ours.

During ski season, there is a 3 night minimum during the weekends UNLESS there is still a vacancy on the Wednesday before the weekend OR if a 2 night stay starts/stops with another reservation. There is usually a 3 or 4 night minimum during Holidays. Minimum stays vary with occupancy and demand and may not be reflected correctly under rates.

Rates are subject to change until the reservation is confirmed.
The cancellation policy is you are able to cancel the reservation and receive a full refund if canceled 61 or more days prior to arrival. If canceled 31 to 60 days prior to arrival you will receive a full refund less a 7% cancellation fee. Although our stated policy is that the rental amount is forfeited if canceled within 30 days of arrival, we try our best to be fair to all parties and we will usually offer a partial credit for a future stay as long as the unit is re-rented.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
