Great Ski Weekend

  • 5 of 5

A great cabin tucked away. We came the weekend after the snow storm of January 2016. Despite the plentiful amount of snow left over and the remoteness, the roads heading up the cabin were in great shape. Beautiful views of Grandfather Mountain, peaceful creek steps from the cabin, built in (deck level) hot tub, gas fireplace, and equipped kitchen made this a wonderful stay. The only problems were: 1. the dryer was disabled and an service call was already in place to repair and 2. the tv service was not working, which did not matter to us because we didn't take a vacation to watch tv.

Couldn't have asked for a better stay! We will be back!

Quiet Retreat

  • 5 of 5

This is the second visit my husband and I have enjoyed a vacation of total relaxation at "High Country Fever"! The cabin has a breath taking view of Grandfather Mountain, which we enjoyed while sipping our morning coffee on the rocking chair front porch and unwinding in the evenings in the warm water of the outdoor spa tub. You feel a million miles away from the real world, but the location of the cabin is perfect to enjoy any of the activities that the 'High Country" offers. The cabin is clean, comfortable and has a well appointed kitchen plus has the convenience of a gas log fireplace for quiet cozy nights inside.

Wonderful Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and our two kids recently stayed at High Country Fever and loved it! The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the views from the Jacuzzi and the peacefulness of the surrounding area. We are from Florida and will definitely be back!

Our wonderful family weekend getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at High Country Fever cabin.

Upon our arrival everything was extremely clean which to us was our #1 priority.

Perfect size and comfortable beds and lounge areas. A weekend cabin getaway isn't a complete getaway unless you have a fireplace on a cold and breezy day. And of course that was available as well to us.

We also indulged on a bit of a family hike right near the cabin to view the gorgeous nearby waterfalls and the other beautiful rocks and wildlife around to view.

Also, we enjoyed several dips in the hot tub while we took in the breathtaking views of Grandfather mountain just ahead in the opposing mountains from our location.

We give this cabin a A++++ rating and we will be back to visit.

Amazing views, and great location!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was everything they listed it to be and more. We visited with 4 adults and 2 toddlers, and traveling in from Florida on a cold winters night it was so nice to walk in and the heat was cranked and it was ready for us! The night before the area had a snow storm so it was so nice to arrive to about 9 inches of snow.

This cabin will not disappoint you, and you will love your experiences and the sights in the area. We cannot wait to go back next year! We will definitley book for longer next time :-) It was about an 8 hour car ride with about 3 stops along the way, perfect for southerns to getaway and experience a nice winter getaway.

Can't wait to return

  • 5 of 5

My mom and I just spent too short a vacation (3 nights) at this beautiful cabin. It is located in a perfect, central location, it is clean, beautifully appointed, with privacy and the comforts you need after a good long day of sightseeing and hiking. Did I say cozy? We look forward to a return trip!
