Thank you to you and your family for letting us rent your home. Your home is beautiful and the setting was so relaxing. You are extremely professional and were a pleasure to deal with.
We have stayed in this house for the past 2 years. Every year, Tamara makes sure she accommodates our family with her spacious home. We are back again summer 20216 and can't wait for our magical week together. Not only is the home spacious and rooms spread out so no one is on top of each other, the outdoor space makes for fun activities. My son enjoys the pond and huge driveway for bike riding. Just bring your family and food...Tamara's home has everything you need during your stay.
Very nice! Enjoyed the wildlife and the beautiful rainbow! Home is very comfortable and has all things needed to make you feel at home. Address is Oak Bluffs but really seemed like it was in the middle of Oak Bluffs, Vineyard Haven, and Edgartown which was nice. Bringing the car over on the ferry helped tremendously as walking to most places was not really an option for us. Right on the bike trail so that was plus for walking and biking. Home is as advertised with great organized instructions on use. Enjoyed the stay and would choose this home again. Good places to eat in VineYard Haven: Black Dog and Net Results; Oak Bluffs : Linda Jeans (breakfast ), Biscuits, Nancy's, and the best ice cream:Homemade Ice Cream. Be sure to shop at C'est La Vie in Oak Bluffs and Sheila Allen Styles in Edgartown - great stores and great owners.
The pictures posted online do not do justice to this vacation home. It is a wonderfully spacious design while be warm and cozy. It was very clean and the information provided about the use of the home was well organized. All of the ameneties available truly make you feel like you are home. We loved it and truly hope and look forward to returning.
Martha's Vineyard was great and this home was wonderful. I woke every morning to geese landing on the pond next to the home. Early evenings we had cocktails on the patio overlooking the pond and the beautiful woods. The home was beautifully appointed and we were in the master bedroom upstairs which was spectacular. A huge shower, a king size bed and windows we opened to let in the cool nite air.
Martha's Vineyard can be a very busy place and we were only minutes away from great restaurants, bars and the ocean but when we wanted to get away we made it back to our wonderful home on the cul-de-sac.
I enjoy keeping my workout regimen while on vacation and there is a brand new YMCA near enough to walk to if you feel like burning off a lobster roll or two.
I have already spoke to the owner about our visit and hope to stay there again next year.
The neighbors were great/very friendly and the wildlife, we saw easily 15-16 wild turkeys and I already mentioned the geese, made for a very country like escape.
This is a wonderful home for a stay on the Vineyard. The owner provides thorough, accurate driving directions, as well as instructions on the use of all aspects of the home and its appliances. Linens are provided with color-coded instructions showing which sets to use on which bed and in which bathroom.
The property was immaculate when we arrived.
The turkeys that hang out near the pond are a treat for the kids.
The owner returned the escrow deposit very promptly.
Our favorite part of the house was the outdoor patio. It has comfortable furniture, and the whole family enjoyed hanging out there in the evening, grilling, and eating meals.
The bikes in the basement are also a nice amenity.
Visitors should be prepared for the air conditioning situation. Like most Vineyard houses, this one does not have central air. There are air conditioners in some (perhaps all?) of the bedrooms. There is also an air conditioner for the living room. The downstairs layout is very open; the living room, dining room, and kitchen all basically blend in to each other. We had three days with high temps between 88 and 92 degrees. These were good beach days, as during the afternoon the non-air conditioned areas were a little warm. Note, however, that high temps from 88-92 are exceptionally high for the Vineyard. I just checked and these three days are the hottest on record for 2012 (through August 14). The rest of our stay the temperatures were around 80, and the house's fans did a great job of keeping the non-air-conditioned rooms very pleasant.
All in all, a great place if you're coming with 8-10 people!
We have rented this house two years in a row. It is a huge house - we had four adult couples and two babies and it felt very spacious with tons of room. The outside by the pond is awesome. The shade from the house covers the patio seating in the afternoon so it's very pleasant to sit outside as dinnertime approaches. The location is convenient since it's right on the bike trail.
The owners were very thoughtful and prompt. I never had any problems and any questions were answered quickly. We will definitely rent again!
This home is only minutes away by car or bike from beaches, shopping, eateries and entertainment in Oak Bluffs, Vineyard Haven and Edgartown. Experience the unique vibe that each of these three towns has to offer or choose to relax on the property grounds. The home's private pond provides hours of entertaining wildlife and draws a comfortable breeze from the Upper Lagoon. There is perfect outdoor space to allow the kids to fly kites or have water gun fights all within the privacy of your own vacation home. The Martha's Vineyard bike trail is also accessible at the development entrance.
