The municipality is located at an altitude of 320 meters above sea level, in the historical region of Marmilla, famous for the presence of the plateau of the Giara that overlooks it and for having given birth to the blessed cappuccino fra Nicola. The territory of Gesturi is mainly hilly. Nestled at the foot of the plateau of the Giara, the fame of the area is mainly linked to its wild and uncontaminated beauty, inhabited by very rare animals. The area is in fact frequented by the only herd existing in Italy and Europe of wild horses better known as the "ponies of the Jar". of small size, their origin is shrouded in mystery, detail that enhances the fascination of these rugged and tranquil animals. Besides the churches, the territory of Gesturi is characterized by the presence of numerous nuraghic sites.
