The moment we stepping into Lesley's home, we knew we were going to have a wonderful vacation. The layout of the interiors, deck and grounds all create an aura of peace and relaxation; and everything was very clean and well-maintained. I loved Lesley's taste in decor, which is even nicer than depicted in the listing photos. Lots of beautiful natural light, the chorus of birds, and Meetinghouse Pond just across the street! We enjoyed kayaking with Goose Hummock and walks to the many inlets in the area, eating pizza at sunset on Nauset Beach, Cape League Baseball, and biking on the nearby Rail Trail. East Orleans is a great launching place to get to everything on the Cape.
We would definitely recommend this property, and look forward to staying here again!
First, in working with Lesley on the rental dates and times we found her to be exceptional in her willingness to meet the needs of our vacation time. Her concern was more than obtaining a rental week, she wanted our stay to be enjoyable.
This is reflected in the property. It is very well thought out and the location in Orleans and closeness to Nauset Beach allowed us to enjoy every aspect of the area. It truly is a "sunshine", flooded with light. One of the main features of the home is the deck that goes around the back and side. If you are not in the mood for the beach, you can enjoy a beautiful day in the sun lounging on the double chaise and relaxing on the patio deck.
My wife loved the outdoor shower with the constant beautiful "not annoying" singing of the birds.
Lesley's take in art and design is fresh and enjoyable. You will love this rental and will not be disappointed. It is easy to tell that the owner put herself into the design and layout of the home.

My family and I stayed at Lesley's house last week and we absolutely loved it! The house is spacious, beautiful, and very comfortable. We loved the decks, especially the side deck with the awning where we ate our late dinners after returning from the beach. We happened to stay during an extreme heat wave, so the lack of air conditioning made the house extremely hot during the day, but the ceiling fans worked pretty well and we bought an extra fan to keep the dog cool. :) It was hot, but we survived. The heat in the house just inspired us to spend more time out on the beautiful deck in the evenings. Taking a shower in the outdoor shower with the cool evening breeze offered some relief from the heat as well. We ate most of our meals at home and really appreciated the very well equipped kitchen and the ice maker in the freezer was a huge plus! Overall, we really enjoyed the house and we cannot wait to return.
We had a wonderful time at Lesley's home. Spotlessly clean, well equipped kitchen, and artistically decorated. Windows all around and a welcoming backyard oasis! Our pug loved the yard and we took walks to the pond across the street. It was a perfect escape from our usual city life. Centrally located it was easy to explore the Cape up and down. I hope to return.
My daughter and I go to the Cape every year when she gets out of school to "kick off" the summer. This was the first year in many that we chose Orleans. We did so mainly for its location to Nauset Beach. This home was so close to Nauset that you could literally be there in under 5 minutes (by Car) we actually jogged there once and the entire area is lovely.
The house was well appointed, especially if you enjoy cooking (as I do) the only thing "missing" was a microwave, which I didn't need, so I didn't feel that was a negative at all.
Since the weather wasn't as cooperative as we wouldv'e liked, we spent alot of time at the house and enjoyed the openness of the kitchen and the outdoor deck. I was able to catch up on some reading, and we had friends join us for a wonderful Lobster feast, which we ate outside on the deck. All in All I would not only recommend this to a friend, I am hoping to come back again next year. The location was perfect!
Other Activities: Kayaking
