Our lives away from the Beach house are very active. As Realtors we feel that this property is one of the best ocean front properties on Vancouver Island and spend as much time there as possible. The house is shared and enjoyed by family, extended family and friends and many memories have been made in this home away from home.
Joan Miller purchased this house in 1992
We wanted a place for our children to spend quality time with their grandparents and cousins and enjoy the magical and mystical Deep Bay Spit. Wildlife and ocean life come alive and many hours are spent boating, beachcombing and swimming.
The house has been completely renovated with a new kitchen, bathroom, appliances, & furniture package.
Loved the fact that this property is ocean front. Saw lots of wildlife. ☺
Would have liked to have lounges to sunbath and a fire pit to enjoy the nights.
Had all the amenities we needed and the kitchen lacked nothing. Clean and bright. Nice beds.
Good place to chill!
We enjoyed our Christmas break stay at the Deep Bay property. We caught the tail end of a storm coupled with a high tide which was fantastic. A short walk to the end of the road treated us to two mature eagles roosting on top of an old fishing trawler. Tidy and well appointed. The owners were a pleasure to deal with.
Thanks for such an relaxing experience.
We just returned from a week long family vacation at this lovely house. Beautifully renovated, with a wonderfully equipped kitchen, that lacked nothing. All furnishings are new, and the beds and linens are excellent. We had 5 adults and 2 children in our group, and it is a perfect location for any age. It is a very safe swimming beach, and we all enjoyed the water plus long walks on the beach at low-tide. The big screen TV was a nice addition when some down-time was needed. We will return next year! There are many great day trips to be had from this location as well.
We are from out of province and my husband and I found a little piece of heaven here. We have been at least five times over the past ten or so years and love it even more each time we visit. The secluded beauty is breathtaking, especially the sunsets. To just sit, breathe in the sea air and watch the boats come and go is a pleasure beyond words. Recovering from an illness last year and visiting the islands and towns on the Old Island Highway around this area was just what the Dr. ordered. Nothing is needed but your food. We found Fanny Bay oysters up the road and went every 2 or 3 days for our treat. The house is exactly like the photos and beautifully cleaned. Through the years we have been here in different seasons, Easter, fall and even Christmas one year. We have celebrated birthdays, holidays and family get togethers as well as recommending this heavenly place to others. Our favorite spots have been the islands, Qualicum Beach, Coombs and Bamboozles. We hate to share this little treasure with anyone else but I know that once you've been you will want to go back again and again. We do!
I absolutely loved the Deep Bay beach house! Vancouver Island is one of my favorite places in the world and Deep Bay is one of the Island's best-kept secrets. Surrounded by a quiet and relaxing atmosphere Deep Bay takes you by surprise with its many natural wonders, such as the beautiful sunsets and many forms of aquatic wildlife. From crabs to clams, seals to eagles, even the odd group of whales is a sight to see. Swimming, beach-combing, kayaking and fishing were the main activities but if you were looking for something more, a quick boat ride would take you to Hornby Island and its famous Tribune Bay, voted one of the best beaches in Canada! Another Hornby Island classic is The Thatch restaurant and pub, known for its delicious calamari and other seafood. The beach house was a great place to relax and enjoy the summer with friends and family and I recommend it to everybody looking for a comfortable vacation destination. Nearby attractions included Comox, Courtney, Bowser, Qualicum and Hornby Island if you wanted to experience more of the West coast. Staying at the beach house however and being so close to the ocean, mountains and nature all around was the best part of the trip. Thank you for a wonderful trip and having the house so clean and organized when we arrived!
The beach house at Deep Bay is a comfortable, relaxing environment to re-engergize. Whether beachcombing at low tide, revelling in the stunning sunsets, or at night, gazing as the moon casts its glow on the calm ocean surface before you, this is a magnificent seaside setting. The spic and span beach house has everything you will need - all there is to do is bring your food. There is fishing at your fingertips, kayaks to rent next door and a grocery store nearby. We enjoyed running barefoot on the sand as gooeyducks spit sand behind you. Collect sand dollars or shells galore! Spend a day on the beaches of nearby Tribune Bay on Hornby Island, accessible by ferry via Denman Island. This restorative spot has become a favourite of ours and we would highly recommend a yearly trip! Thank you for making our booking experience so easy, and having the beach house in perfect condition when we arrived.
