About Owner

Fortunate to call CDA my home since 1961, and when fully retired from the Navy, we'll be back permanently. Love the Centennial Bike Trail going right by our front door, and we can ride to Old Downtown CDA, out around the lake, or even all the way to Spokane. Most of the trail follows the river or the lake- it's absolutely gorgeous.

Why Owner chose Northern Idaho

Lake Coeur d'Alene is one of the most beautiful alpine lakes in the world. Outdoor adventure paradise. Small town atmosphere with friendly folks and excellent recreation and dining options. Refreshing crisp Rocky mountain air. Just a great place to be.

What makes this condo unique

Love waking to the gorgeous sunrises, sitting on the balcony and seeing the bald eagles and osprey cruising the river for breakfast. Often stroll to nearby Starbucks for mocha and a scone, then back around the Riverstone Park Lake. It's so peaceful we always depart fully rested, and can't wait to return.

summer trip

Clean, comfortable, and convenient. We had a great time in CDA and this condo made all our activities very convenient. We jogged/walked the trail each morning, rode our bikes, and spent time on the lake in our boat. The beds are comfortable and the condo is fully equipped to provide the necessities for an enjoyable vacation. We would definitely rent this condo again and highly recommend it to others.

We had a great weekend at the condo. I loved that we could walk the trail all the way to downtown! I am sure we will book here again.

Great Stay

  • 5 of 5

Bills place was a great get away - right on the river, a concrete buidling that did not transmit sound, clean, newer, etc.

Parking across teh street in teh parking lot (the underground stalls are very, very small).

Kitchen was well equipped, as were the little things like soap in bathrooms, toilet paper, etc.

I would stay again when I'm next in Coeur D'Alane.

Thanks Bill.

Exceeded our expectations

  • 4 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay here. Like a few others have said, the pictures of the view really don't do it justice. Throughout out trip we drove all around and we have to say this is by far the best location! Bar none. It's so peaceful and yet just a few shorts blocks from everything. We had planned on eating out most of the trip (minus breakfast as we're good with coffee and a bagel). But the view was sooooo fantastic we never ate dinner out. Not once. We had lunch out every day as we were out and about most days. But we made sure to get back in time to have our very own happy hour out on the patio every night. We found a great grocery store about 1 mile away, called WinCo. It's fantastic. It's huge and the prices are great! So we loaded up on groceries and ate in every dinner. It made no sense to eat out when you have the best view there. Any restaurant would die to have this location! And I have to say, Bill is very generous as far as providing everything you need. His place is fully stocked with all the essentials. We've rented from dozens of places thru VRBO in the past and we've never seen a place so well stocked. We once rented a home in Lake Tahoe for $1000/night. There were 3 couples and kids. But when we got there they had one half of a roll of paper towels and 1 roll of TP in each of the bathrooms. Maybe some salt and pepper. But that's it. For the price we paid we thought they could have done better. But Bill has all the necessities. Extra towels, baggies, tin foil, the works. It was nice to see. I hope everyone who stays here doesn't abuse his generosity so Bill keeps doing this. Cuz it's very much appreciated. If we all do our part and start the dishwasher and a load of laundry before leaving that should encourage Bill to keep doing what he's doing. Because as far as locations, quality of the unit and views, this is the best the river side has to offer! Period. Nothing else comes close.

One last thing: if you're up for it you must try the Timberline Adventure zip line. It was sooo fun. Check it out! I'm terrified of heights but I did it. They even said they had a 71 year old woman not to long ago do it. So do yourself a favor and check it out. Between Bill's condo and the zip line, you'll have wonderful memories to last a life time!

Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful place Bill.
