Relax in our new custom built home on 7 1/2 private fenced and gated acres with panoramic Glacier Park vistas of the front range of the Rocky Mountains. Enjoy the views and solitude from the expansive redwood deck overlooking active beaver ponds where wildlife and birds abound. Moose, bear, deer, fox, waterfowl, and songbirds are frequent visitors where they share with us the natural beauty of Montana. Our home is sheltered in a gently sloping aspen grove with berry bushes, dogwood, and marsh grasses surrounding the ponds. The property is located two miles from the village of East Glacier Park (Amtrak stop) and from there a short drive to the Two Medicine entrance of Glacier National Park. It is also an easy drive to access other entrances to The Park.
The house consists of three bedrooms and two baths. There are two 4' showers and an antique clawfoot tub where one can luxuriate after a long days hike. Each bedroom has mountain and pond views. The two main floor bedrooms each have two twin beds while the upstairs master bedroom has a king bed where the sunsets and alpenglow will amaze you. The house is listed as sleeping four guests but it can accommodate a total of six with an additional charge for the extra guest(s). Go to sleep to the sound of beaver tails slapping the pond surface reminding you of the wilderness around you.
The open floor plan on the main level has 12' ceilings with knotty pine paneling, circular-sawn wood floors, solid maple kitchen cabinetry, and limitless views of mountain peaks. Sit in the comfortable living room recounting your days events or daydreaming as you overlook the ponds, Mt. Henry and Scenic Point. The dining area has a large oak table with seating for up to ten dinner guests. In building our dream home, much thought and effort went into designing the kitchen. In this large space you have the accoutrements and prep area to create the simplest of Montana breakfasts to the haute cuisine of a gourmet 5 star restaurant.
Whether you are whitewater rafting, kayaking, fishing the renowned Blackfeet Reservation lakes or in Glacier Park, summiting the surrounding peaks, hiking the picturesque Glacier Park trails, horseback riding, attending Pow Wow Days in Browning, golfing, sightseeing on the scenic Going to the Sun Road or hiking out your front door on tribal lands, you can be certain that an adventure awaits you in Big Sky Country. No matter where the events of the day may lead you, there is always a warm comfortable home awaiting your return.
We are avid outdoor lovers that feel a deep connection to the wilds of Montana. We have designed and built this home ourselves with craftsmanship and careful attention to detail.

The Rocky Mountain Front is one of the true wild places in the lower 48 states. The proximity to Glacier National Park and the surrounding untrammeled lands drew us to this unique location.
We are able to immerse ourselves in the surrounding beauty whether walking around the ponds or relaxing on the sofa gazing out the picture windows.
What a memorable experience in East Glacier! We absolutely adored the house - the views are breathtaking, the cabin is comfortable and stocked to fulfill every need, and the location is perfect. We had a ball hiking the Many Glacier area, enjoying Two Medicine (do not miss!) and driving to Waterton Lakes. After visiting Glacier for almost ten years, we found the property to be the most welcoming, warm, and inviting spot from sun up to sun down. Great local restaurants too. Barbara and Phil did an amazing job preparing us for our visit and making our stay easy and senseless. Their home is exemplary in every way! Thank you again for sharing your peace of heaven with our family!
Phil and Barbara have a wonderful home on a beautiful piece of land with mountain views and a small pond in the front yard. The property is in great location. Easy drive up to Waterton Lakes one day. Quick access to spend several days in Many Glacier, Two Medicine, and St. Mary's. Home is fully equipped with all kitchen appliances, spices, cleaning supplies and linens. One of the best rentals I have seen, we will return! -Lisa & Clay
This is a great place to retreat and get away from the crowds and traffic in other parts of the Park. The house is beautiful and had everything that we needed. The owners go above and beyond to be sure that you are taken care of. Very impressive. Three couples fit very well for a 5 night stay. There are Great hikes within a short driving distance from the house. And East Glacier is only 3 miles away. This is a 5 star place.
We have always had great experiences with VRBO rentals, but this one was the best place in which we have stayed. The cabin provided easy access to Two Medicine, St. Mary's, and Many Glacier. It also was an easy drive to West Glacier. This made for a perfect home base for all of our Glacier National Park adventures.
The cabin was comfortable and well set up. The kitchen was fully stocked with plates and utensils, and we used the gas grill to cook up supper on more than one occasion. We enjoyed being able to cook breakfast, pack our lunch for days in the park, and cook supper when the day was done. The quiet solitude of this rental was refreshing. We spent a lot of time looking out at the beautiful views on the property. While we were there, the huckleberry's were thick and ripe. We did spot a moose on two occasions, including once wading across the pond.
The owners stopped by the first night to make sure that we had everything we needed. They really went out of their way to make sure we had a good experience. Their guest book in the cabin is filled with lots of stories of great experiences. It is also a good source of information on the places people enjoyed visiting and the wildlife they encountered.
We enjoyed this vacation so much that we are talking about returning next year and adding a few more days to the vacation. If we do, this property will definitely be the place we will book to serve as our home away from home.
We were debating whether to stay in a private location or a big lodge for our trip to Glacier National Park. We are so glad we stayed here. It was so relaxing and calm. The house was very spacious and it was very clean from kitchen to bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas. It was the perfect place to have a couple of very slow mornings before heading to Glacier NP and a nice calm place to wind down after a busy day in the park. Owners were very responsive when we needed to make contact. They also suggested some great places eat (Serranos, the Mexican restaurant was indeed fantastic). This was an all round great place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay around East Glacier for more privacy and peace than the big hotels/lodges can offer.
Very convenient location to all of East Glacier & beyond. The home is very well appointed and comfortable. (Even better than the photos). Our group of 3 couples had plenty of space to relax. The covered deck overlooks a stream & wet lands and was a perfect place to unwind after our hikes. The kitchen has everything you need to fix a gourmet meal. It was well stocked with supplies you don't always find in a rental. Barbara & Phil were exceptional with communications and making sure that everything was in order for our stay. Thanks Barbara & Phil, we had a splendid good time at Stunning Peaks! We highly recommend this property.
