Why David Schwytzer chose Lake Cumberland

My wife and I visited the resort area at the suggestion of other friends. We found the area to be a very relaxing, quiet place to regain our 'sanity' and relieve our stress. We offer this property to share our love for the tranquility and beauty which changes with the seasons. We hope you enjoy our property and care for it as your own.

What makes this house unique

summer Family Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the Lake Home. We had 7 adults, 2 children & had ample room! The home was clean & nice, the pool perfect & being right on the lake was really "the BOMB"- know you have to be careful entering the lake from the path, but if you have life jackets, you are good to go. Hot tub, perfect & clean, not to mention the lovely screened in porch below & the open deck above-- VERY NICE. Really NO complaints, frig could be upgraded is all we can complain about- an easy fix for sure. Thanks, David-great family weekend!

Lake Cumberland, KY

  • 5 of 5

The house was just perfect for our huge family of eight, two adults- three girls an three boys. We walked the trail down to the lake- the boys loved to go off path. This was the first time renting a home, we will definitely be back. We rented a pontoon boat and found the channel right in the back. The kids jumped off the boat and climbed the hill to use the bathroom inside. The basement was a very nice addition the kids had their very own get away, and we had some peace and quiet.

Beautiful home on an awesome lake

  • 5 of 5

The house is huge and absolutely beautiful. Very well maintained and furnished. We loved being close to the boat ramp because we go boating every day. We also enjoyed the hot tub on a rainy day when we couldn't be out on the lake. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a great place to stay on wonderful Lake Cumberland!

The only downside of our trip was that the Country Store was completely out of ice and gas on Friday so we had to travel a long way to get our supplies. I realize that this is not any reflection on the owner of the home, but thought the owners of the store in the resort should have been a little better prepared for weekend guests.

But overall, we had a wonderful stay!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your nice words of encouragement for other patrons. I will pass your words along to the country store owner and manager in order for their facility to be better stocked each weekend.

Wonderful Home

  • 4 of 5

Dave,

We had an amazing stay at your beautiful home. The house was super clean and provided us with everything we needed - sheets, towels, utensils, cooking supplies, and more. The view was breathtaking, and the set up was perfect. We loved how open it was, and how, even with eleven people, we never felt crammed. We were able to spend time together at some points, then do our own thing at others. The only thing we wish was different was the path to the lake. It started out clear, but then became difficult to distinguish and hard to track. We ended up kind of making our own path, but if a little more of the brush was cleared it would have been much appreciated. The views were amazing and the house was just what we needed for our stay. It was nice always being able to reach you or someone if something went wrong, and we would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quiet location right on the lake!

Owner's Response: Thank you for the nice review. The path to the lake runs through Daniel Boone National Forest. Because of Federal law no one is legally allowed to move or remove any living or dead material on Government property. However, I am allowed to clear 3 feet for a path. I wil take note of this and make this happen on my next visit to the resort. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. DS

Beautiful Home, Great Location

  • 5 of 5

Dave, Thank you so much a wonderful stay in your beautiful home. It met our needs perfectly and is in such a beautiful location right on the lake. We found the house very clean, comfortable, spacious, and the views are amazing. Our rather large group had plenty of room and we found everything we needed - plenty of soft, plush towels, linens, all the cookware and dishes we needed to be able to keep everyone fed and happy. We didn't get a chance to get in the hot tub or to use the fireplace, but they both looked very inviting. We never had any issues during our stay, but it was nice to know that someone was available at all times just in case we needed anything. We loved the house and the area and had a great stay. Hope to be able to stay again sometime!
