Located on the 2nd floor of a wonderful 1890's brownstone with old-world details, this newly renovated one bedroom apartment offers the best of both worlds.
Bright, sunny and overlooking a courtyard, this apartment is quiet and perfect for two people. The layout is an open kitchen/living room and a separate bedroom with a queen-sized bed and lots of closet space. Its details include high ceilings, crown moldings, original tile, a (non-working) fireplace, a crystal chandelier in the living room, a marble bath, high end kitchen appliances and wood floors throughout.
Walk out your doorstep and to the heart of the much-desired Upper West Side. Central Park is only one block away, the culture of Lincoln Center is a 10 minute walk, and lively restaurants, cafes, and boutique and gourmet shops abound. Easily accessible to the B, C, 1, 2, and 3 subway lines.
Herrick Guest Suites
We loved the location and the apartment. I mentioned a night stand with a lamp would be really helpful and a few hooks in which to hang those great Frette towels.
We already have our reservations for October....so looking forward to our next visit.
Highly recommend this well run Herrick Property -
I can not say enough nice things about the Herrick Guest Suites Apt. on the upper west side. I've worked in the NY area regularly for almost 20 years and though all those years I've enjoyed periodically sharing my second home city with family and friends. This was the first time at Herrick Guest Suites and it will not be my last. Their upper West Side unit is in a wonderfully unique part of NYC where you can honestly enjoy the more 'laid back' relaxed family vibe of Manhattan. You can enjoy the very best that NYC has to offer, and feel very safe at any time day or night enjoying it all. Their West Side Guest Suite is absolutely cute, well appointed and maintained, one block from Central Park and the very best in NY eclectic shopping, dining, night life, and a short subway trip to The Village. Despite what one might here about NY'rs they really are a pleasure to know, are very friendly (always rushed though) and the Apt. management team are a pleasure to deal with. If they were any nicer, they'd probably have to have their 'surly NY'r' card revoked. Check this place out, you will not be disipointed.

We prefer this apartment as it is an ideal location for Lincoln Center and other Upper West Side destinations. It is well-appointed, the building owners who live downstairs always stop by to make sure our needs are being met, and the Herrick property managers are flawless!
We have been visiting the city for ten years and have stayed in many locations trying to find the perfect fit for our needs. Our search has ended. This place is amazing! Shopping, dining, museums, Central Park, all within easy walking distance. The apartment is immaculate and well equipped with all the amenities. It truly is a little bit of home in the city!
A very nice, well-appointed apartment in a good quiet building and no street noise. Large living room with kitchenette and cozy bedroom. Building owner stopped by to say hello and make sure everything was fine. I have stayed here several times and plan to stay here again in the future. Also great neighborhood, convenient to restaurants, grocery stores, museums, and 10 minute walk to Lincoln Center.
The apartment is even better than the pictures show. Someone did a quality renovation: new walls and ceilings, crown moldings, solid wood doors. etched glass. There is no street noise and the other residents are quiet. The apartment is immaculate.
It is the second floor rear apartment of a beautiful brownstone, which has hallways lined with intact wood paneling. There is a steepish stair to negotiate with luggage, but even with a bad arm I didn't have any serious problem.
The neighborhood is perfect. A block to Central Park, Two blocks to the subway, a fifteen minute stroll to Lincoln Center, restaurants galore, supermarkets, gourmet carry-outs, dry cleaners, etc.
All in all, the perfect pied-a-terre for a New York visit.
A block from Central Park, Lincoln Center.
