The house was beautiful right on the bay with a boat dock. It was big enough to accomodate our large. Just a short drive or walk to everything in Cape May and a short drive to Wildwood if you choose to go on the boardwalk. The beach was beautiful! Deb was very accomodating and a pleasure to work with.We had a great vacation!
This was our second time at this property and like the first time we stayed, we could not have asked for anything more.
The property is perfect, everything is as described on the website, very clean, great location, and beautiful bay view.
The owner could not possibly make you feel any more welcome.
This property will always be our first choice when visiting Cape May.
Our third year in this wonderful vacation home for our group of five friendly couples. Large bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, elevator, dockside location with 2 kayaks included, and great west-facing deck overlooking marina and marsh with osprey's nests make it the best place we've rented on the Jersey shore. Very responsive owner.
This was our second year here. Like many other reviewers have said, it's a spacious 5 bedroom duplex, with wonderful views of the wetlands and terrific sunsets from the living room and patio. It's also the best furnished place we have ever stayed in in Cape May (and we have been coming to Cape May for over 20 years). Towels and bedding are provided. There are two single kayaks available for exploring the wetlands. There are five bikes, four are for kids, I think, and the fifth is an adult racing bike. There are also plenty of beach chairs. The owner, Deb, is great to work with.
Wonderful duplex with lots of space for everyone. Owner was great to work with and met us when we arrived. Definitely recommend the property to anyone visiting Cape May.
This was our third consecutive year at this location and it was better than ever! The location is absolutely wonderful with a great view of the inlet, the boats and the sunsets over the water! We took advantage of the kayaks that the owner provides to meander through the Cape May Harbor and the Cape May Canal. The owner provided a few bikes and we went to bike rides to the ocean and along the boardwalk each morning. We walked just a few hundred feet down the road and enjoyed a dolphin watching cruise that was fun for the kids and adults. We went to the Cape May Zoo one day (a must do) and went to the boardwalk at Wildwood where the kids enjoyed all the rides, food, and activities. And did I mention the ocean? We went there everyday. And as a bonus, the owner provides beach tags!
As much fun as we had going places and doing things, our absolute favorite activity was just sitting on the deck at the house. It is so peaceful and beautiful. There is simply no other place in Cape May that allows you to enjoy the closeness of the ocean with the peacefulness of isolation.
As has been our experience all 3 times, the house was immaculate when we arrived. We pulled up, entered the house, put our luggage and supplies in the elevator and unloaded everything on the second and third floors. With elderly folks in their 80's, the elevator is a great feature. But its also great when you arrive and when you leave. Who wants to carry luggage, coolers, etc. up one or two flights of stairs?
We find the layout to work extremely well for our family. With 2 bedrooms on the second floor and three on the third floor, the home is spacious and easily accommodating for 10. The kitchen is great and along with the gas grill on the deck, we found it easy to eat many of our meals at home. The family room is an extension of the kitchen so the whole family easily mingled and hung out together. We can honestly say that after 3 years staying here, this place feels like home to us now. We can't wait to come back next year!
The owners are the best! They always provide the best service and really care that their guests enjoy themselves. This year we got to meet them in person for the first time. They are absolutely wonderful people.
Yes, we always enjoy ourselves here. But 2014 was the best...not the least of which the owners made happen themselves!
We highly recommend staying here!
