We fell in love with the gulf coast of Florida in 1998 during our first visit. We went back for another vacation in 1999 for a family holiday and had to purchase this amazing cottage. There was only one other owner since it was built so the family heritage and feel permeated the property- you feel the love. We have renovated it several times with new furniture, baths and a pool! We travel for work and understand the important things such as a pool, warm decor, cozy linens, wifi, smart tv, games, bikes, beach chairs and a beautiful atmosphere. It would be silly to choose another property when you have everything that you need at our warm and cozy beach cottage. We appreciater all of our wonderful guests whom have stayed over the years. We also look forward to many new guests too. Please also let us call if you need help or something needs to be addressed. We're here for you. Thank you! Connor Family

We love the sun, beach, fun, outdoors, wildlife whether in the Gulf, flying above it or crawling around it. Ft. Myers Beach is easy to access from away, you can completely relax and never have to leave the island, people are friendly and it is one of the most beautiful places on earth.
Relaxing, unwinding, turning off the fast paced everyday life. A new in ground heated pool, completed in October, 2016. Enjoy friends and family in our new heated pool- why even leave the grounds? Additional, we love to kayak, run or walk on the beach, bike ride, golf and play tennis. Friends enjoy the jet skis and parasailing as well. Everyone enjoys watching the new sport of kite boarding & wind surfing. All of these activities are followed up by reading a good book on the beach, taking a nap in the warm sunshine, drinking coffee on the lanai and enjoying company of friends both old & new. The best thing is taking time to enjoy one another.
Wonderful 2 weeks here-
Everything so pleasant and cozy. Really felt like home in paradise. Weather great! Thanks for having all of the conveniences we needed for a marvleous vacation.
Great family house.
Just got back from this beach rental and I must say I am very pleased. I was there for a week long business trip and took advantage of the location. I could have stayed at a regular chain hotel but opted to have the accommodations that I would have at home. The rental price was a steal, since low season in Florida is summer time. $700 for the week plus all the fees and taxes totaled up to $950, went to Publix and spent another $100 for all I needed during that week, needless to say that my company was very pleased to know I did an entire week stay at less than $200 a day. The place is clean, in a great location and you just cross the street and have beach access. This side of the island is not as crowded as the main side where all the shops are at. This is more of a residential feel and you have the beach almost to yourself. The management company was great! I literally called them the afternoon before my check-in day and told them I needed accommodations for the next day... she was there just another ten minutes before leaving for the day but still managed to accommodate me. I arrived the next day and everything was there for me in the business lock box. The only negative I would say, and it did not present a problem for us really, is the AC situation. Florida is HOT and I am not sure on the insulation of the place but we had to keep the AC on at all times. Follow the directions they have written on the AC box and just let it run. Leave it on Auto and gradually lower the temp... It will be in the 80's when you get in the first day, lower it to 76, then to 74 and so on until you get your desired temp. It will cool down, it will just take time. Overall, I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for having this available for me in such short notice.
My family and I go to Fort Myers Beach every year. We really picked a great property this summer. This home had it all, it was CLEAN, minutes walk to the beach, relaxing and overall wonderful. You can tell the owner really gives this property attention, newer furniture, new baths (it seemed like it), stocked linens and comfortable beds. We will come back to this home next year. The owner was very helpful, along with the rental company.
We rented this charming little house for a small family get-together with our son and his family who live a block a way. It is a bit "plain Jane" on the outside, but it sits on a lovely quiet street and is very comfortable and pleasant inside, with a sunny living room, fresh white furniture in the bedrooms, spotless newly tiled bathrooms and a number of small conveniences (like plenty of good quality towels, a covered rattan laundry hamper the right size for holding a standard laundry bag, and complimentary laundry detergent). Ordinarily, we would have given this rental high marks. Unfortunately, however, there were a number of maintenance problems, and the rental agency's response not only prompted this negative review, but assured we will never return.
Here's what was wrong: 1) The phone was dead--and hence wi-fi was out--on our arrival, and service was not restored until the day before we left--which meant we incurred data charges. (The repair technician said the line had been cut when a tree stump was removed.) 2) The lights over the exterior door and stairs to the entrance were out on our arrival, making returning after dark a treacherous proposition--especially with the ubiquitous FL mildew and algae on the railing and steps. We were promised a handyman, but no one ever came--so we resorted to carrying flashlights. 3) The inside doorknob to the front door came off in our hands. (Rather than make a second call for the no-show handyman, my husband--who keeps a tool kit in the car--fixed this one himself.). 4) There were shards of glass embedded in the rug in the second bedroom--discovered when our daughter stepped down on one and badly cut her foot.
Bad things do happen, of course, and we have often given them a bye. In this case, however, we faulted the management agency, who really should have checked the house out before our arrival--at least to be sure there was a working phone and exterior lighting. So when we returned the key on our departure, my husband--the quintessential southern gentleman--kindly asked if they "would consider a small partial refund." Not only did he receive a resounding "no," the horrid office manager was downright hateful about it, saying we "rented the cheapest property [they] had" and so had "no right to complain about ANYthing."
Given all that, we can't recommend this rental. What if the electricity was out on your arrival? They keep your money and you have "no right to complain"?
We had a great time here the cottage was clean and comfortable it also had everything we needed . It is close to the beach within walking distance to the store. Our grandson Alex and his friend Brian had a great time fishing Dow at the pier. We will defenetly come back.

We recently spent two weeks in this Gulf Island Drive cottage. Let me say first that the location is wonderful. Gulf Island Drive is a very well kept, quiet street. At the far end of the block is an area diectly on the bay with boat slips and a great place for fishing. The beach access is about four houses down and across Estero Blvd. There is a private beach entrance for the Gulf Island Drive houses with a gazebo where you can sit and enjoy the ocean. The beach is just steps away from that. The cottage itself was very comfortable and the newly remodeled bathrooms were definitely an added plus. The walk-in shower was great! The house was clean and very welcoming. The beds were very comfortable and it did not take long to fall asleep! The kitchen is just big enough to cook a few meals if you want, and well equiped. If you bring your dog, there is a great back yard. You can also take a walk down to the beach gazebo or to the bay. Ft. Myers Beach is very dog friendly and our dog Gracie loved those beach walks as did we. Publix is just a short distance away. This area of the beach is more peaceful than the Times Square area which is much more crowded. I would highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a great beach cottage in a good location, clean, comfortable and pet friendly. We definitely enjoyed our stay. :)
My husband and I and our two dogs stayed at this lovely little beach house over Christmas and had a wonderful time. I don't understand the most recent, very negative, review. I can't believe that reviewer stayed at the same house as I did. We found the house to be spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. The bathrooms have been recently renovated and are very nice, especially the ensuite. The kitchen is a little dated, but extremely clean and well equipped with everything you'd need. The lanai adds a lot of extra living space. Everything was in working order. And the beach is very close, I didn't need instructions to get there or to figure out it was a public beach for all to use.
I had two small complaints, too small to change my five-star rating. One was the wifi, which was weak and spotty. The other was the 2nd tv in the bedroom, which didn't have a cable box and wasn't usable. I wouldn't have missed it if it wasn't there, but it was odd to be sitting on the dresser with no cable.
But overall a clean, charming little house in a great location. I would have loved to come back this year, but we left it too late to book and it was already booked over Christmas! I hope the place we picked this year is just as nice,
