Great location

  • 4 of 5

We had a good time at the cottage. It is located in one of the most quiet neighborhood in Wells. It's close to the beach. Easy to walk from there. Close to restaurants and attractions. The house is in good condition, was clean and equipped properly. The garage is convenient. However, a few little things could have been better. The landscape would need some love; the photos are nice but in really it needs some improvement. Inside the cottage, the decoration and cleanliness was good. However the sofa was in very bad shape, really need replacing. The flat screen was cool so was the wi-fi. However, we had no cable tv receiver... Those little things didn't reduce the quality of our stay whatsoever but still need to be addressed. We'd recommend it to a friend without a doubt. The owner is friendly and communication went smoothly. Than you.

Two great weeks in Wells, Maine

  • 5 of 5

The property was exactly as advertised, very clean and well maintained. We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet retreat close to the beach. Aurélie provided excellent customer service and was very attentive to our questions.

We have been coming to the Wells/Ogunquit area for many years and didn't know about the beach at Drake Island. A very beautiful, quiet beach that is worth trying.

Lovely house in quiet neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely house in a quiet neighborhood of year-round residents. Decor is unique: a modern adaptation of Craftsman style, with lots of built-ins and interesting design features. The house was very clean, and all fixtures and appliances were in very good condition. We spent much of our time with our Maine-resident family, so spent few daytime hours in the house, but there are plenty of games and books, wide-screen TV with DVD player, etc. Kitchen was well-equipped, though there is no dishwasher. The house is close to nice beaches, though parking can be scarce. We would recommend this property to anyone except those with very young children. (Some shelves and other features are placed where a toddler or preschooler can easily run into them. Stairs have no gates.) Owner provided a notebook with a lot of useful information about the house and nearby attractions. She was responsive and helpful during the process of completing rental agreement. All in all, it was as advertised and we would stay there again.

perfect family home

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time with our 18 months old son. The house is big enough that we never felt crowed. The kitchen is fully stock with everything you need.and the BBQ is a super machine!

The beach is 5 minutes away and really calm. The location between Wells and Kennebunk is great since we could visit both beach easily or go out for dinner in both direction.

The owner, Aurelie, was great and made sure we had everything. We truly felt at home away from home. Great beds, great kitchen, living area and we enjoyed the garage to get our son running around a little even when it rained!

I would recommand this house in a second and already have. It's probably the one of the best kept secret in the area... but for how long!

True Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had an enjoyable time. When we arrived we instantly felt comfortable, as all the amenities we were accustomed to were all provided. I did not expect it to be as furnished as it was and had brought a lot of cooking materials, all of which were already on hand!!

There are 3 bedrooms, and all provided plenty of space for us. I also have to point out that I slept better in the bedroom upstairs then I normally do at home. So much so, that I wanted to take the bed home with me.

Although the beach is a mile away, it's was a quick ride and shouldn't deter anyone from choosing this home. This home not being on the beach provided us with the opportunity to view the two beaches nearby and head down to York for the day. The private beach was my personal favorite. Although it's necessary to get up early (minimal parking) it was the only beach I went to that allowed me to read, and relax without worrying about the heavy traffic public beaches often provide.

We hope everyone will enjoy the home as we did!

Best,

The Taylors
