This garden space is perfect for a couple, children, elderly, relocating, or visiting family. It's conveniently located for those traveling with/without a car, those needing a home due to remodeling, families who need housing close to UCSF, SFSU or visiting family/family reunions not only in Noe Valley, but districts close by like Glen Park, Diamond Heights, Castro, Bernal Heights, Mission. We do not offer parking, but non-metered street parking is available. It is within 5 miles of all main attractions. Closest bus lines: 24 Divisadero, J-Church.
Retired. Widowed. Raised 7 children in this home.
Sela purchased this house in 1974
It is quiet and close to public transportation.
We had a great time in San Francisco. It is very comfortable to get around in the city, even without a car, because of the local traffic system and with the 7-day muni pass we saved a lot of money. We really liked our trips along the piers or from the Coit Tower along the Lombard Street. The walk over Golden Gate Bridge was great too. We also enjoyed the small stores in 24th Street and in the Castro and of course the bigger Shoppingcenters around market street. I`m sure we will visit San Francisco again.
We have stayed at VRBO's in several different parts of the country. This unit in San Francisco combines the best of all of them. Location, quality, price and owners easy to deal with. When we return to San Francisco this will be our #1 option. Thank-you Sela!
The house was lovely and quiet. It was very convenient to get around. Had everything we needed!
Roomy unit, spacious common area with nice sized bedroom. Nice garden spot to enjoy. Easy access, lots of towels, flexible and welcoming hosts. Area is very nice and convenient to restaurants and transportation, quiet neighborhood which is easy to traverse on foot
Charming little place, well stocked with necessaties, I was thrilled to find coffee! Worked perfectly for my husband, me and our 5 year old. My only comment is that it gets a bit cold in the bedroom. Overall, wonderful stay. Thank you!
We chose this house because of its proximity to our daughter´s apartment in Glen Park. Sela was very kind in bringing the key to our daughter´s building the day before we flew in. The neighborhood is very quiet, half a block away was the bus stop and, with luck, you can still find an unmetered parking space for the rental car at night on the same block or around the corner.
Since relatives of the owner live on the second floor, you access the rental unit through the garage. We were taken aback, but its floor has been painted with ship quality grey paint and is impeccably clean. Inside the big garage there is a toilet closet and high-capacity washer and dryer. You must be careful entering the garage at night because the floor is uneven, higher by the side-door you will use and sliding down towards the middle (where the drain is). The front door to the unit is in the back of the garage.
The unit is charming, clean and comfortable. The living area does not receive natural light but the bedroom, one step down from the rest of the apartment, is bathed in it and has a calm, lovely view of the back yard.
The king/2twin beds together bed was excellent. So were the pillows. Bathroom: excellent shower and a delicious heater on the ceiling. Dining- room chairs too heavy and big for the space. Kitchen well equipped. No dishwasher. Lacked salad and/or bread plates. We were not able to watch the TV in the living room because the two controls were too confusing and there was no explanation available. We did not spend much time there and the bedroom TV was fine.
We know July can be cold in SF, and being that this unit is on the first floor, you will need to put on the wall heaters, in the dining and bedroom, for part of the day. They work simply with a knob. We will rent this unit again and are recommending it to our friends.
My wife and I brought our infant daughter for our first family trip and everything was fantastic. Sela coordinated with a baby equipment rental company for delivery of a stroller, high chair, diapers, etc. Sela even provided a pack and play for our use (the less we had to check on a plane, the better). She left us on our own for the entirety of the trip but was very responsive whenever we had questions. We also had a rental car and parking was fairly easy. The only downfall, if i had to choose, was the wifi. It didn't work very well with my wife's phone or mine, but it didn't matter too much to us because we were exploring the city most of the time.
Overall, a great stay and i would definitely recommend.
Noe Valley is a stylish village inside San Francisco centered around 24th Street with coffee shops, boutiques, bookstores and multitude of ethnic restaurants. The architecture is predominantly Victorian.
