About the property

Hilltop House w Spectacular mountain views all around, Firepit and Stars Galore!

Our beautiful hilltop home on 4 acres in the heart of Paradise Valley is an ideal location from which to tour Yellowstone Park. Enjoy breathtaking views of Emigrant Peak, Yellowstone River and the Paradise Valley while relaxing on our wrap-around deck, around the fire pit, grilling on the patio, or playing ping pong! With views like these, you may not want to leave the house! Our 3-bedroom + loft home easily accommodates 8-10 people. Come enjoy the quiet serenity, fresh mountain air, unparalleled views for miles & Milky Way stars galore - in the privacy of this luxurious, peaceful spot.

Paradise valley offers Yellowstone River fly fishing, hiking, mountain climbing, horseback riding and some of the best scenic beauty Montana has to offer. Famous Chico Hot Springs is close by. Soak in the mineral waters or dine at their wonderful gourmet restaurant. We truly look forward to welcoming you to our home!

Attractions: Yellowstone River, only 5 minutes away, is famous for it's trout-fishing. The river meanders all through the valley, so if fishing or playing on the river is your passion, do make this your destination and indulge it to the full!

If you happen to arrive at dusk, you may find yourself greeted by a hillside full of deer! Watch closely as you drive up - their colors blend in with the hills. Or watch them cross just below the house in the morning. You are free to hike and roam the hills around the house - keeping a respectful distance from other homes & fence lines.

MEALS! -- Kitchen & Patio Grilling: The large, gourmet kitchen provides all you need (from cookware & utensils to crystal wine & champagne glasses) to create home-cooked meals whenever you choose to 'eat in.' The kitchen table, the grill on the patio or our new large deck are the best spots to congregate with full-on views of the mountains, river & valley! With plenty of room & seating for 12 in the farm-style kitchen, along with the wide-open, top-of-the-hill views from the dining room & patio, preparing and enjoying meals here will be one of your most memorable times.

The living room has comfortable seating for watching TV (or a DVD from our library), reading a book or just gazing out one of the many large windows to watch the weather move thru the valley or just daydream. It is open to the kitchen, so even a large group of people may enjoy their time together in the 2100 sq ft. open floor plan.

Accommodations: Our home easily accommodates 8-10 people. A king size bed in Master bedroom & large soak-er tub & shower in the master bathroom indulge your sense of privacy & comfort. A queen bedroom upstairs is across the hall from the 2nd bathroom (shower). The 3rd bedroom is also upstairs & has 2 twin beds. A full size futon is available in the loft area (with birds-eye views of both the house & surrounding areas). Two twin air mattresses for use in any room, allows us to accommodate up to 10 people. Luxury linens go a long way to ensuring everyone has an excellent night's rest.

The open loft area is a great spot for the kids to hang out after a busy day outdoors, with games, puzzles, and books, or choose a selection from the video library, with many titles to pick from. Connect to the outside world with wireless high-speed internet access. Your vacation home is completely prepped before you arrive & cleaned after your stay.

Come & be renewed in the peace & beauty of this wonderful Valley!

About Kevin and Debbie

Hi there, we love to be outdoors in the Natl Parks and Rocky Mountains! We look forward to sharing our home with you, as you experience your own time under the big skies of Montana, where clean air, bright stars and that wild west adventure await you!

Kevin and Debbie purchased this house in 2010

Why Kevin and Debbie chose Yellowstone

We have hiked, backpacked and fished in gorgeous mountainous areas for years and found this valley from which to base our adventures! And so close to Yellowstone too - what a bonus! Emigrant Peak beckons from just across the valley, which we hiked/climbed Sept 2010 - about 6 miles to the top at 10,900 ft - a challenging one for us!

What makes this house unique

Some of the best views in Paradise Valley - and all it has to offer, above and beyond our proximity to Yellowstone!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a wonderful time at the "house on the hill" -- thanks so much for sharing it! The views are amazing and we could not see another place we would have rather stayed. Carol

One of nicest properties we have stayed in

  • 5 of 5

This property is loaded with amenities and extras. All the items one tends to forget are provided and much more. And you could compete on Food Network's Iron Chef in the properties kitchen. The views are spectacular. Can't wait to go back.

House on the Hill: Yellowstone Park

  • 5 of 5

It is a beautiful house, on a lovely site with amazing views of the mountains. The house is very-well equipped and maintained. Lots of kitchen space with all the tools and pans needed for making nice meals. It was very clean. The owners were quick to respond to any questions I had. I highly recommend it, and would stay there again!!

Beautiful home, comfortable furnishings, and a million dollar view!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at House on the Hill. The moment we opened the door we knew we had made the best choice. The house is beautiful, with comfortable furnishings and thoughtful touches throughout to make guests feel welcome and at home. The owners are very communicative and easy to get in touch with -- should the need arise. We found the beds to be very comfortable, and the kitchen nicely stocked with quality appliances and cookware and dishes. We appreciated the large selection of spices and condiments available -- it made preparing meals a breeze! The view from every part of the house is simply spectacular! We enjoyed getting out of bed each morning and opening all the curtains to watch the sun rise over the mountains while sipping our morning coffee. After that, it was a short drive to the park entrance where we spent wonderful days exploring the amazing sights and wonders of Yellowstone National Park. Our family had a wonderful vacation here and we are already talking about making a return trip :)

Thank you Debbie & Kevin!

Even better than we expect!

  • 5 of 5

Wow! The house, the landscape, everything was even better than we expected! The house had everything you could imagine from pots and pans, linens and towels and very clean! Deb and Kevin were great to work and had answers for the questions we had. We drove to Yellowstone everyday, which was a short 25 minute drive but the scenery was beautiful. We spent an evening at the Chico Hot Springs, 10 minutes north. We had some great ping pong tournaments in the garage and sat by the fire pit at night. You will not be disappointment. We would recommend to even the pickiest vacationers.

Lovely, clean, comfortable, spacious home base for a family visit to Yellowstone

  • 5 of 5

We LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this home! It was all that we as a larger family needed to have a very comfortable base for our visit to Yellowstone. In fact, it surpassed our expectations so much that many days we didn't want to leave Paradise Valley. We did one day hike to Pine Creek Falls and would have loved to have tried to make it all the way up to the Lake. We enjoyed the fire pit, the well stocked kitchen making cooking a breeze, the ping pong table, the plethora of books, and the games and all the comforts of home. While we looked at homes outside of the other gates of Yellowstone, this area and home were clearly the best for a super home base.

The owners to easy to work with, answered all of our questions and provided everything as promised. We would highly recommend this home and hope to go back soon!

Great home for family vacation

  • 5 of 5

What a great spot for a family vacation! The house and views were even better than pictured. Great communication with owners. My husband and I met our adult sons and wives for a week at the House on the Hill. There was something for all of us do enjoy. The short drive to YNP was beautiful. My sons also hiked Emigrant Peak, Pine Creek trail and tried their hand at fly fishing in the Yellowstone. Enjoyed cooking together in the large kitchen at night (more pots and pans than at my home!) Also enjoyed sitting on the decks, fire pit, ping pong, watching afternoon storms move through the valley, and unbelievable star gazing. Everything you need is provided, just bring your food. I highly recommend House on the Hill!! When we left my 32 year old son said it was the best family vacation we have had in a long time. Thanks for sharing you home with us.
