: I couldn't say enough positive things about the property and our stay to do it justice. I have been going to the Adirondacks for nearly 50 years since childhood and return every year. As for my recent stay it started off gold right from the beginning with prompt and courteous responses to my inquiries. After contracting a rental agreement all information needed for the stay was sent with full disclosure about the property. Upon arrival my wife and I were in heaven and remained there until departure. The caretakers are immaculate on every detail. One would be hard pressed to find this in a 5 star resort. The owners and caretakers are truly on the ball with this, missing no details. All my stays have been pleasant but this was the first one that was perfect in every way. It was by far the best get away we have ever experienced. Privacy, Serenity, and Relaxation to the max with picture perfect views inside and out. Truly can't think of a single thing that would disappoint even the most discerning of folk. We will be returning as long as it is available.
The place really neat, clean and the view from the Windows was very calming. The caretaker is really helpfull.Kitchen had all appliances and utensils, plates, cup, etc. One thing there was no cellular signal and no Internet, but other than that we would gladly go back to this cabin next year. :)
The cabin is really nice! Quiet and peaceful. My family and I enjoyed staying there; although we had to check out early this morning at 5 am. Driving to Manhattan
This was by far our best rental experience ever in the Adirondacks. The cabin is not fancy by any means, but it is lovely, comfortable, spotlessly clean and has absolutely everything one could ask for in a vacation home. We were 3 adults, 1 child and 2 dogs, and the cabin felt very spacious. We loved the open living room/dining room/kitchen and were very impressed by the array of utensils provided (unusual for a rental). When my dad and his wife came down one night for dinner (from Montreal) I even found a glass trifle bowl for my blackberry trifle! The cabin has a wonderful deck with Adirondack chairs; perfect for reading during the day and stargazing at night. The cabin is right on the water and we took the kayaks out every day, often paddling from Mountain View Lake into Indian Lake (via a channel with a bald eagle nest). We saw 10 eagles in one week! Until we looked carefully at the map shortly before our departure we hadn't realized how far north this cabin was (don't confuse this "Indian Lake" with the larger one in the Central Adirondacks!) This cabin is actually north of the park boundary and is about a 40-minute drive to Saranac Lake. That makes it a bit of a haul to the High Peaks for avid hikers (which we are), but that was really the only disadvantage. There are plenty of amenities 20 minutes away in Malone (including an excellent Price Chopper), and some good hiking nearby, including Lyon Mountain (on a clear day, you can see Montreal from the summit!) The cabin's remoteness is perfect for those craving solitude and absolute relaxation, and ideal if you love to kayak. This is a gorgeous area of the North Country; much recommended. We plan to return!
What a beautiful cabin, spacious, and with all the amenities you could ask for. There's a local restaurant just 5 minutes away with friendly staff and great American style food. City folks, bring your kids, they will love the pond and a late night campfire for s'mores.
I love this place and it is our second visit! Hoping to be a "regular".
My family and I really enjoyed our weekend getaway at this cabin. The property is beautiful, right next to the water with plenty of wildlife and scenery. The location is slightly off the beaten path which is nice for privacy and relaxation but also nice because you are a short drive to the main attraction areas. The cabin itself is beautiful inside, full of rustic decor and a lot of space. It has modern conveniences such as an updated bathroom, washer/dryer, and large fridge, and everything was very clean. We slept 6 adults comfortably with space to spare (can really sleep 8). The owners have provided almost everything you could possibly need, and you will feel right at home. The cabin also includes kayaks that are available for you to use and a fire pit, just be sure to bring your bug spray! Janet (the owner) is extremely helpful in getting your trip planned, and she provides you with lots of info before you go to really help ease the stress of planning your vacation. This was a fantastic rental, and we would love to return!
We had a wonderful time experiencing the Adirondacks for the first time. The cabin provided exactly what was advertised. We appreciated the use of the kayaks on the lake to be able to experience the wildlife and beauty of our surroundings. Thank you for making your cabin available.
