At Point Williams Lodge, experience the heart of the San Juan Islands with the convenience of drive-in accessibility. Reaching out into the waters of North Puget Sound, Point Williams Lodge is a private, gated property nestled in a setting of unparalleled natural beauty. Set on six acres of the outermost tip of Samish Island, the newly-constructed, timber frame lodge offers a luxurious space for relaxation, or a point of departure for your next island adventure.
1200 feet of private oceanfront, a superb heated swimming pool, the hot tub and outdoor fireplace cleverly integrated with a spacious deck for entertaining or just kicking back. Among majestic trees—Douglas Fir and Western Red Cedar, the bold timber joinery of this finely-crafted home reflects the serene environment, overlooking the confluence of Samish and Padilla Bays, a haven for herons, hawks and eagles, otters, seals and whales, fishermen and boaters.
Six well-appointed bedrooms accommodate up to 14 guests, plus vaulted great rooms, grand fireplaces, a gourmet kitchen—framed by the genius of Cascade Joinery: lofty arches, stout metalsmithing, an enchanting puzzle of beams and rafters—a sanctuary of warmth and light.
Point Williams Lodge exemplifies the magical duality of the Pacific Northwest: a place to explore the beauty of nature one minute, and relax in comfort with a good book the next.
Take a short drive or bicycle the easy roads along farm fields and nature preserves to arrive at the doorstep of a foodie’s delight: the Skagit Valley’s offerings include strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, myriad other fruits and vegetables, artisanal cheese, fine wine and craft beers, divine bread, and fresh shellfish.
Superb restaurants in the region like Nell Thorn's in La Conner, the famous Rhody Café, and Tweets in Edison specialize in creating an array of fresh combinations available in this unique maritime valley.
Stock up in charming Bow-Edison or at quaint roadside stands and shops along your way to the lodge, and prepare to feast in comfort, surrounded by the land and sea that provides this rich bounty.

Point Williams Lodge was a spectacular destination for our reunion of Notre Dame friends in October 2010. The home is beautiful with a wonderful plan. Gorgeous Stickley furniture abounds. The grounds are magnificent on many acres of Salish Sea shorleline. Gudrun was the consummate hostess, arranging even the smallest detail for us with grace, thoughtfulness and professionalism. The home is ideal for large groups of couples, or for a large family reunion. You will love this amazing bit of heaven on earth."
Look forward to talking soon to arrange some visits.
With best wishes for the peace of the season,
16 members of our extended family ( ages 4-70+) gathered here for our annual reunion and it was the perfect spot for us . Everybody's needs were met: Kids ( ages 4-18) loved the pool. The adventure seekers had great access to local trails for hiking and serious mountain biking. The golfers were very satisfied with local courses. The shoppers enjoyed Bellingham and La Conor. And those of us who like to chill by the pool with a book for most of the day managed to get out for some great runs and bike rides in to town for delicious food when we felt like being active.
We spent all of evenings together with cocktails by the pool, dinners on the deck and a walk to the bluff to take in the incredible sunsets.; a beautiful way to show off the PNW to our East Coast family members.
The house itself has everything you need and then some and the manager was very eager to accommodate and help in anyway needed during our stay.
If you want a private , exquisite property that sleeps16 people comfortably with tons of amenities - this is your spot. You won't want to leave the house once you check in - It's awesome!
The PW Lodge was an amazing experience for our company's annual meeting and then we stayed 2 extra days with our own family. The amenities were top notch but also livable where we did not have to worry about our children breaking anything. The hot tub is great and the views are spectacular. We will be back annually for sure.
Point Williams Lodge is BREATHTAKING. We visited Point Williams lodge with our extended family for a holiday weekend in October 2015. Our group ranged in age from 16 to 86 years old and everyone was overwhelmed with it's beauty.
The home is an architectural masterpiece with finishings of extraordinary quality. The kitchen is very well appointed and a pleasure to cook in. Everyone in our group wanted to take a turn cooking! The main living room showcases a majestic stone wood burning fireplace, hardwood floors and beautiful leather furniture. In addition to the main living room there is a wonderful den where one can retire for a quiet read or a little TV time! The bedrooms are extremely comfortable and very spacious. Beautiful linens and towels throughout the home. The pool and jacuzzi are very clean and beautifully maintained.
The property and grounds surrounding the home are exceptional! The outdoor deck area with the wood burning fireplace/barbecue overlooking the beautifully landscaped yard and Bellingham Bay is wonderful. The views, every way you look are truly amazing. From the home and yard you cannot see another home or building. You are completely secluded but not isolated. There is WiFi, Direct TV, Telephone and good cell reception.
The Point Williams Lodge manager, Gudrun, was very helpful and accommodating. From the time of booking until our arrival Gudrun was very gracious about answering our questions and giving us a very thorough walk through of the home upon arrival.
Anyone who has an opportunity to visit Point Williams Lodge should do so. It will be an experience you will never forget. We all look forward to our next visit!
We brought our whole family ranging in age 75 to15.
We had a great experiences. We stayed a week and enjoyed everything. The cooking service made it even better. Family's had dinner together but no muss.
We rented the Point Williams Lodge for a family gathering to Celebrate our grandfather's 90th birthday. It was the perfect place for our group. The location has all the benefits of the San Juan Islands without the ferry ride. We cooked all our meals in the great kitchen and dined together at the large dining table. The adults relaxed with books and games in the house. The kids loved the pool! The whole retreat was a hit!
I organized and facilitated a retreat for a group of women who gathered for the weekend at Point Williams Lodge. This was an ideal space for our group. It was quiet, serene, and felt like a real getaway for us - even though many of us were local. Everything leading up to our weekend was organized and we felt so well taken care of throughout our time. The craftsmanship of the home is impressive, with lots of space for people to journal, take naps, and enjoy all the amenities the house has to offer. The grounds are beautiful and we were able to get some great group photos out at the point at sunset. I can't recommend this place enough and look forward to my next trip there!
