Overview

Lake Tahoe North Shore Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 1-6) 3 night Minimum

Welcome to Patsy's Place - it is our second home. It is a beautifully updated 1959 cabin that is situated on 3 lots or .50 acre, and it the last cabin on the block, located on the West shore in Tahoma, CA. This place is equisite,no detail untouched. The first thing you will notice when entering this property is the gorgeous setting, it is truly quite lovely and you won't get any closer to Sugar Pine Point State Park as you can see from the pictures it is literally and seamlessly in your front yard. There are very few lots that are this large, private and at the end of the block.

We have worked very hard to update all of the appliances, providing a wonderful kitchen and living space. This cabin is 1544 sqft. the vaulted ceilings in the living space makes for a comfortable stay. The kitchen, dining room and living room host an open plan, leading down the hall to a rather comfortably sized bathroom with shower and soaking tub. There will be a down sectional in the living room which is great for settling into snowy nights with a book or a great movie. You will find plenty of storage. Although no need to bring sheets or pillows, we provide all cotton sheets and down pillows, large bath sheets and beach towels. If you are allergic to down then byo. We try to make each and every stay one that we ourselves would want to experience. One of the beautiful features about the cabin is the outdoor space-we have an enormous 3/4 wrap around deck that is close to the ground, we have worked hard to clean up the grounds and continue to work on the garden. And this year we won the 2013 Garden Glove Award for Tahoma. We are so pleased to be recognized by our community, but know we have worked hard to create a tranquil space.

Hopefully by the pictures you can see the charm of Ole Tahoe, and the new come together beautifully with the new additions, but the beauty is that it is updated and provides for a very wonderfully restful stay. This is the place you want to bring your Sweetheart, the place you've haven't had the time to read that book or better yet write your biography. Patsy's Place is truly about renewing your spirit. You may hear a few children in the neighborhood, but at night it is something rarely ever experienced, total silence.

Enjoy the little town of Tahoma, West Side Pizza, PDQ Market-try their renowned sandwiches, the local video shop, Homewoods new deli...there is a small HOA rocked beach, but Meeks Bay Beach is a few miles south and Chambers Landing Public beach is a short skip North. Homewood Ski is very close and Tahoe City is about a 12 minute drive north and Squaw Valley is about 25 minutes NW.

We feel you will think you have found a jewel in the Tahoe Basin, as we feel we were blessed to be stewards of this beautiful property. Please inquire as to our availability and don't hesitate to ask questions.

We wish you and yours a very wonderful and fulfilling stay at Patsy's Place, Tahoma, CA.

About Laura Franceschini

My name is Laura Franceschini. My husband Tim and 2 sons and 3 dogs live on the old family farmstead that dates back to 1846. We grow Organic Pears and Cherries, conventional vineyard and a variety of grow crops. We were looking for an Ole Tahoe cabin on a unique piece of property, though I wrestled with the size of the little cabin, 2 years later we made it into the absolutely charming cabin it always wanted to be, we were also mesmerized by the grounds and its location. We find that when we need rest from the riggers of farm life and the heat of Sacramento County we long for our beautiful place in the woods. It's quite the magical place! Peace & Pinecones, Laura & Tim

Laura Franceschini purchased this cabin in 2008

Why Laura Franceschini chose Lake Tahoe North Shore

The West Shore is considered the best shore as its magic comes from the larger snowfall that gives a lush and green landscape. Here is a place for rest and relaxation. The property is very magical-it brings back memories of my childhood where we spent many of our summers in Chamberland at my Uncle Jim's cabin. It is a dream fulfilled! And room to roam and be free, this is a lot that you do not find in the region. Big and private.

What makes this cabin unique

The property is the last cabin on the block and borders Sugar Pine Point State Park. This wonderful cabin sits on three lots nearly a 1/2 acre in total. Which makes the property endless as it borders the state park. We love this charming neighborhood and can't wait to get back as we never fail to miss our little cabin in the woods. In the winter snow shoe right out to the Park, sleigh down you own manmade mountain. It really is one of the most charming rentals in the area and around the lake-If you are looking for a Old Tahoe but updated cabin this is your place. No paint on these walls-we come to the mountains to be in a mountain home. We hope Patsy's Place will be your destination in Lake Tahoe for years to come.

Guestbook comments from the owner

What a wonderful place. Thank you so much for sharing it. What a wonderful remodel, you have made it so cozy and relaxing. We enjoyed the fire pit, the yard is beautiful. We brought our Kayak's and kayaked to Emerald Bay and stopped at the island to explore the Tea House, that was so cool. Enjoyed seeing the snow. Just glad we got 2 days to kayak. Also went on 2 hikes. Tahoe is just so breath taking. We will be back again.

Quiet and comfortable

This was our second time staying at Patsy's Place and it is still comfortable and well-kept. It's on an end lot next to a park which makes it feels so private. There's everything you need for a comfortable trip.

COZY and COMFORTABLE

  • 5 of 5

We really loved this home. It fit us 5 perfectly. The linens the decor made it fantastic. The home is easy to get in and out of and is stocked with everything you could possibly need.

We have rented many others and this one is hard to beat. We will be booking early from now on.

A perfect gem in Tahoma

  • 5 of 5

Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful Tahoe home with us! We had a small office retreat and the house worked perfectly for the six of us. Beautifully appointed with state of the art appliances and comfy beds, it was the perfect spot at the end of the road. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and more. I don't think you can find a nicer two bedroom home. Thanks for sharing.

Wow - wonderful cabin!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was perfect and completely exceeded our expectations. All the positive reviews were right and we had such a memorable weekend with our little ones learning to ski. My wife couldn't stop talking about how cute the cabin was. Upstairs master bedroom and bath is really, really nice. Owner was very responsive and easy to work with. Kitchen was very well-stocked. It seems like they really, really take care of the place - great attention to details across the cabin. Highly recommended. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us Laura.

very special vrbo

  • 5 of 5

Laura,

My wife and daughter enjoyed our stay at your well furnished and maintained property. We have stayed at VRBO properties many times, but this has been our best experience. The house is well organized and with amenities such as flannel bed sheets, luxurious comforters, large bath towels, fully equipped kitchen, excellent entertainment system and all consumable supplies that normally one would need to buy for a comfortable stagy. We were very impressed with how comfortable and convenient our stay has been. Your attention to detail and genuine care for the stay of guests here has not gone unnoticed. We would be happy to stay here again in the future! Thanks again!

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

What a joy to stay at this property. I have been staying at rented properties for over 20 years all over the world and Patsy's Place was by far the most amazingly stocked place I have ever stayed. We arrived late at night with a daughter complaining about a cut and wanting a band aid. We were ready to search for a Pharmacy only to find 3 boxes of band aids in the cupboard....and so it continued: masses of laundry detergent, loads of extra towels and bed linens, ziplock baggies, huge containers of shampoo, oils and spices, bundt pans (if you love to cook you will find what you want!), games, dvds and so much more. Beyond buying food we did not need anything else. You will want for virtually nothing if you stay here. Lovely location at end of the road next to the State Park. We also thought it was ideal for Lake Tahoe in general.....we did many amazing hikes and Tahoma was equidistant from them all as well as being 15 minutes from Tahoe City for supermarket etc so a great central base.

This is a holiday rental that feels like a home. If I bought it today for my family vacation getaway I wouldn't change a thing. Just a joy from the minute we arrived until the minute we left. I would recommend wholeheartedly to anyone and we will be back if we get another chance. Thank you for a lovely holiday base.
