Great location. Bad neighbors!

  • 2 of 5

The property is in a great location, however, the neighbors are college students. There were loud parties every night we stayed. Great place as long as you aren't looking to get much sleep.

Fantastic home base for visiting DC

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay in this home in Foggy Bottom. It was close to the Metro, making sightseeing a breeze. We could walk to Trader Joe's, allowing us to get food to enjoy during our stay - really enjoyed having hors d'ouvres on the back patio before dinner! The house is beautiful and well kept. Diana is a pleasure to work with - everything was friendly and upbeat and went off without a hitch. Our family really enjoyed being able to walk to the Lincoln Memorial at night. It was a great vacation home for our family.

Neat little town home, perfect for a family of four. Convenient to Metro, can take a 15 minute walk to sights on a nice day. Place was charming, clean, well set up, easy to use. Would recommend.

One of the reasons we booked this property was because of the 92 reviews prior to ours giving it a 5-star review. This review may be redundant to many of the comments already provided, but they are all true! This location is in the heart of Georgetown. You can walk to the Metro, walk to dinner, and walk to the grocery store in minutes. It is completely realistic to park your car for your stay and never drive it. The owner is easily available to answer any questions and will even bring over any items that you may find lacking. It was wonderful to have a clean, comfortable house with a kitchen, laundry facilities, and spacious bedrooms when we returned from our sight-seeing in the evenings. We would definitely stay here again and fully recommend this location to others who would like to spend some time in the DC area.

As advertised, plus some

  • 5 of 5

The owner is easy to work with and responsive. The VRBO is clean and well maintained. Easy access to downtown whether by foot, metro, taxi, Uber, etc....

Restaurants & grocery nearby. There was plenty of room for our family of 4 and we greatly appreciated the extras (e.g. shampoo & laundry detergent). Quiet neighborhood street. The pictures don't capture the real comfortable and lovely feel of this home. And being summer, we were surprised by the Victory Garden (not shown in pictures) and our own private "light show" every evening provided by the fireflies. We will definitely stay here again if our travels take us back.

Lovely Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a family of seven staying at this property and it worked perfectly for us. The location was so convenient to the Metro and all of the places we visited, the neighborhood is pretty and felt safe, and it was really quiet for an urban setting. The house had everything we needed, it was very clean, and we enjoyed the back patio and garden. High ceilings and skylights create the illusion of spaciousness in a small, but efficiently designed home. Diana was helpful in providing information about the property and the location, and was responsive to any requests we had. We did not have a car during our stay and appreciated the ease of getting around on foot or by the Metro. We found a wonderful restaurant just a few blocks away called Circa, and we also had great meals at Old Ebbitt Grill and Founding Farmers, two other restaurants within walking distance. And we loved a little place called Captain Cookie and the Milkman about 3 or 4 blocks away that served only cookies and ice cream - we stopped there two nights in a row. We had a fabulous five days in DC and our stay was definitely enhanced by having such a great place to call home!
