I LOVE San Francisco. I have 4 boys and love biking with them in the Marina next to the Ocean :) .... is wonderful! The air is so fresh and we all get so hungry after a long bike ride. We love good food and there are literally over 100 places to eat nearby.
You can always call us if you need information or any medical referrals etc.
Magalli purchased this apartment in 2009
Love the ocean and love looking at the Golden Gate Bridge!!
Great location in a luxurious modern penthouse :)
Walking distance to all major attractions
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary and visit our son that has just moved to San Francisco. Very nicely furnished and the views/location were the best.
Parking was a little stressful but doable, don't bring a car if you don't need one.
Hands down one of the nicest places we have ever stayed.
Our family of two adults and two teenage boys spent four nights in this lovely apartment. The view of the Golden Gate Bridge was delightful. It is in a safe neighborhood within walking distance of Fisherman’s Wharf. The balcony and roof-top patio afforded wonderful views. The kitchen was especially well stocked; there were even reusable bags under the sink for visits to the Safeway a few blocks away.
There are a lot of stairs, which were not a concern for us but would be for some. The lights in the hallways all worked so that problem others commented on has been solved.
The beds were comfortable. Thanks to the pull out couch each boy got their own bed. The mattress on the pull out was adequate but not comfortable; this is the only complaint any of us had and my son assures me it was better than sleeping with his brother. The apartment was spacious and clean. The shower had shampoo and conditioner, a pleasant surprise.
Magalli was a pleasure to work with. She answered all of our questions well within the 2 days promised and provided good directions for the lock and garage.
First off, Magalli, the owner of this property, is a sweetheart. She was very responsive, kind-hearted, and really cared about making sure our stay at her place was stress free and memorable. She allowed us to have a small, intimate wedding ceremony on the rooftop deck and it was truly amazing. The property is intricately decorated, clean, well-maintained, and offers some amazing views of both the city and the Golden Gate Bridge. The beds were extremely comfy and kitchen is upgraded/modern as well. The entrance to the rooftop is so awesome and a spiral staircase that dramatically leads to the open deck.
I would also like to point out that the pictures don't capture the true beauty of Magalli's place. You really have to experience it in person. Once you walk in, you get a sense of how big and open the main room is. There is ample natural light that comes in through the windows, which perfectly showcases how beautiful Magalli's property really is.
Parking in the garage is a bit extra, but is a nice option to have. The garage has ample space to park. If you don't want to park in the garage, there is usually parking around the area on the streets.
Speaking of the location, there are so many good restaurants and bars around in the Marina District that are walking distance. It is a good area to get away from the more touristy areas in the city.
All in all, this place is amazing. I am truly grateful to Magalli for allowing us to have our wedding ceremony at her place, and staying there was a real slice of heaven. I really felt like a local being able to wake up, take a run on the beach, and relax on the rooftop with unbelievable views. I honestly cannot wait to have the opportunity to come back to stay at Magalli's property again.
This property is in great condition and very well located. The kitchen and living room are spacious as is the very large rooftop deck which provides an amazing view of the Golden Gate Bridge.
The location of this place was excellent, walking distance to everything and unbelievable 360 degree views!! We stayed over weekend so we had no problem parking rental car right in front of place on the street for free. The beds were comfortable and bathroom and furnishings were also very nice! Magalli goes above and beyond to make sure her renters are happy and taken care of!
As said in the other reviews sitting on the balcony or top deck cannot be beat. Great views. We did have a slight problem with payment that took awhile to resolve. But it was resolved. We were not quite sure how to use the lock box to get the key to enter the first gate. A neighbor helped. ( Align the numbers and pull the handle down to open the box.)The stairs are steep especially the first flight up. And there is no air conditioning. So you need to open the windows to get the full breeze. It was very warm in SF when we were in town. The light in the hallway, going up to the condo door, was not working. It was dark so hopefully it has been replaced by now. Some of the lights on the top floor deck were also out. The overhead light in the bathroom was out as were a few lights above the bathroom sink. I left a note about the living area lights but forgot to mention the top deck. Kitchen appliances all worked and the stove is real nice. The beds were comfortable, two beds in one room, and the washer and dryer were convenient. We liked sitting in the living area. The table is huge. Internet worked fine. While everything was updated, I would suggest another TV in the livingroom, a new refrigerator with more ice trays and maybe some sheer drapes in the living room for privacy if you use the sofa to sleep and in the laundry area as you can see into the neighbors window.
It is close to the Safeway store, bring your own bag, and public transportation. We purchased the 3 day miuni pass which makes it very easy to use the transit system.
For our last night we walked to Bobo's, the lounge and the restaurant because they were only a few blocks away. Both nice places to eat. Although there are many restaurants in the area.
If you rent the garage make sure you get the information on how to park inside. It is a shared garage.
Overall a few minor glitches but a neat place to stay. View can't be beat! The Golden Gate Bridge is gorgeous.
