Great view and location

  • 5 of 5

The view of the house overlooking Lake Washington with the Olympic Mountains in the background was beautiful and will make a lasting memory. Rebecca the property manager was very friendly and responsive.

Location on the house near Colson Beach Park provided a great paved walking trail which added to the experience.

We are looking forward to the opportunity to come back again sometime soon and would highly recommend the house for those looking for a quiet getaway in a great setting.

Memorial Day Weekend

  • 5 of 5

My first visit to Seattle and am very pleased that I found this house to stay in. The location of the home just can't be beat - not that I'm an expert having been to Seattle just once. But the setting on Lake Washington is just beautiful, and when the skies are clear the view of the mountains over the lake is just great. Lake Washington is huge and is where some of Seattle's wealthiest citizens live, so the lakefront and surrounding hillsides are dotted with nice, unique homes. The back of the home faces west so sunsets on the porch are nice also. It is very quite and peaceful. The home is only a mile or so to a major highway (but the surrounding neighborhood is quiet), which provides very easy access to Seattle (w/o traffic which we didn't experience about 15 minutes to downtown) and all that it has to offer, as well as surrounding areas. So I think it offers the best of both worlds - lakefront views and serenity and the city close by. There is a lakefront park with a private neighborhood entrance close by that is well maintained and is a great place to take walks or runs.

Inside, the home has a very comfortable, homey feel and the living room and porch provide a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to make a few meals, which we did. There is a large screen tv with a good picture and it is in the living room so tv watching is with great views of the lake also. The master bedroom and bath are good sized and comfortable - the second bedroom is downstairs. Glenda and Dave live in a private section downstairs and are terrific hosts, they make you feel welcome and are only too happy to provide advice about the city and surrounding area. They make it easy when checking in and out.

I've stayed in several vacation homes in many different places, its really my preferred way to travel because in my opinion it is more comfortable, and it provides (to me anyway) a better, more relaxing atmosphere to stay than a hotel. And I enjoy cooking a few meals rather than eating out all the time. And you meet nice people. This home is another example of why I prefer to travel this way, and we've already shared with friends and family the terrific time we had.

Great access and view of Lake Washington. That was the main reason we came.

  • 5 of 5

The home was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The host and family were most pleasant and helpful. It's a perfect home if you're bringing a boat.

Beautiful home with outstanding views. Great place to stay for relaxation and exploring the area.

  • 5 of 5

This is a great home to relax and use as a base for exploring the Seattle area. We loved the wrap around windows from the dining and living rooms enabling spectacular views to both the west and north. We could see the Olympic Mountains to the west when the sky was clear. We used the deck for morning coffee and breakfast. The bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Rebecca was very gracious showing us the home and answered all of our questions. All the places we visited were not that far away (Woodinville, Wallace Falls, downtown, Puget Sound islands, ...). We had a wonderful time and would stay here again.

Stunning View!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this lovely home to celebrate the marriage of our son and daughter-in-law and it was absolutely perfect. We live in Arizona and they got married in Renton so it was nice to have a place just a few miles from the wedding venue where we could all get together. The floor plan made hosting family meals a breeze and the view of the lake and the Olympic mountains was absolutely breathtaking. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. The day of the wedding, we served brunch for the bridal party and the girls had their hair and makeup done while enjoying that stunning Pacific NW view. Once they were ready, we drove one mile to Coulon Park for wedding pictures. We were so happy we found this home and it made our entire wedding celebration one of the most memorable events of our lives.

Perfect Place for a Family Reunion

  • 5 of 5

We were thrilled with this lakefront property for a family reunion in Seattle. This central location on Lake Washington was easily accessible to the 405, airport, and downtown.

The pictures represent the property well. The island in the kitchen is large and was great for people to gather around and talk during meal prep. The deck is covered and a comfortable place to sit and enjoy the views rain or shine. The "wall of windows" onto the lake allowed interesting sights of the mountains, wildlife, float planes landing, flight patterns into three different Seattle airports, and beautiful sunsets.

An amazing bonus for us was the accessability for my 90 year old mother. The 2 step entrance was easy to navigate with a walker or "bump up" the wheelchair when needed. The owners also provided an elevated commode seat and shower chair with a hand held shower. (Note that grab bars were not available, but we were able to work around this)

My brother and his wife, who stayed in the basement room, were not happy about not having their own bathroom downstairs. He thought the carpeting was a bit old and had an odor.

From my perspective, the location, accessability, and responsiveness of the owners far outweigh any of my brothers concerns. We would definitely stay here again and recommend without hesitation to others!
