Clean, comfy and homey! We were up in Sonoma for 4 nights. We were able to spread out versus being in two hotel rooms and limited in space. We were able to relax with a glass of wine outside, watch movies at night and go to bed when each guest preferred vs. being stuck on the same sleep schedules in a hotel room. Kitchen was stocked and we BBQ two nights. Thanks for keeping such a clean rental. We will be back!
The house was just right for our time in Santa Rosa. The kitchen was well-equipped. The beds were comfortable. The yard was lovely, and we enjoyed sitting out on the patio. It was clean and well-maintained.
It is close to all the wonderful things to do in Sonoma County. We enjoyed our breakfast at the Piner Cafe, and did our grocery shopping at nearby Raleys - a lovely grocery/wine/beer/all-purpose store. We visited wineries [Bella and Truett-Hurst were both top-notch]. If you go, make sure to stop at the Dry Creek General Store and get sandwiches to take to Truett-Hurst and eat them in the Adirondack chairs that they provide along the lovely creek next to the winery, or you can eat them just outside the store on General Store patio with the great view of vineyards. If you to the general store, make sure to see the bar within the store. We had fun at the beach, Bodega Bay - clam chowder is delicious. The location of the house is in a quiet subdivision. I would highly recommend this property.
This home was everything it said it was and more! We opted to try a private home vs 2 hotel rooms and we scored big time. We brought most of our food with us as we were completely the Vineman and Barb's race, so rest and nutritional food was key to us. The home allowed us all to be together, but also have our own space. It was easy to find and access the 101. it was amazingly CLEAN!!! We will be back!
We found the property to be just as advertised. The English garden was beautiful and the patio was a great place to hang out. The home has all the amenities anyone could want. The owners were incredibly helpful and responded to all our inquiries in a timely manner and were very accommodating to any questions. Overall, we would recommend their home to anyone.
Your house was perfect and had everything we needed! We loved the covered porch, nice table and chairs, grill, and beautiful garden backyard. It is in a great neighborhood with sidewalks and streetlights and we enjoyed taking walks in the evenings. It was also totally quiet for sleeping late. Couldn't be more convenient to stores, restaurants, Bottle Barn (for great wine prices and shipping) and wineries. We especially loved having Piner Cafe so close-by for fabulous breakfasts (best hashbrowns and stuffed French toast ever!) Really easy to get around on 101 using Fulton Rd entrance. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in your pretty house and will definitely be back and will recommend it to all our friends. Thanks for everything!
This home is our most favorite of all the vacation homes we have rented. We loved the neighborhood, the location, the most beautiful backyard full of flowers, birds, a comfortable patio with a barbecue. We bike and hike and found lots of wonderful bike trails and hiking opportunities very close to the property. We brought our bikes and there is a shed that easily accommodates them. What really make this home special is that the moment you walk in the door, it feels so comfortable, warm and inviting, as well as being immaculately clean. I like to cook and found her kitchen the most wonderfully stocked kitchen of any place we have ever stayed. There are lots of great wineries and restaurants close by and easy access to the freeway for any place you want to get to. Catherine cares about her guests and her house and is accessible if you need her. We can't think of any better place to stay!!
Excellent location for visiting the Northern California wine country....
Sonoma County has nearly 200 wineries you can visit. Explore the beautiful wine producing areas of the Russian River, Dry Creek, Napa and Alexander valleys. Walk, picnic or hike in the giant redwood forest of Armstrong Park.
Spend the day at the picturesque coastal towns of Bodega Bay or Jenner by the Sea. Kayak, canoe or fish the Russian River at it meanders through the wine country. Visit the Peanuts characters (Charlie Brown, Snoopy etc..) at the Charles Shulz museum. Stroll thru the gardens of naturalist Luther Burbank or go on a wildlife adventure at Safari West, an African wildlife preserve and tent camp. Enjoy a breathtaking view of the regions beauty from the comfort of a hot air balloon ride.
