North Fork Lodge is located on 7000 privately owned acres surrounded by the Allegheny National Forest. Visitors can enjoy hikes among the towering hemlocks or explore endless mountain streams, all the while sharing the woods with Pennsylvania's diverse wildlife.
The two rustic lodges overlook a small lake and gorgeous mountain views. One lodge has unique fireplaces at either end of a large great room, and a separate bar room. The other lodge has a massive dining room with fireplace and floor to ceiling windows, as well as a restaurant style kitchen and bar. The dining and kitchen areas can easily accommodate very large groups.
This is truly a unique rental opportunity. Please contact us for more details.
These two interesting lodges were an old corporate hunting camp and later a restaurant in a lovely remote area surrounded by woodlands. The hollows, streams, the lake, trails, flora, fauna and extensive forests are an idyllic setting for a respite for the harried - - and a perfect place for our multi-generation family reunion.
This is not a luxury resort, but rather more rustic which gives it eminent charm. It should be ideal for small wedding parties, retreats, as well as reunions.
We hope to return for many reunions to come!
We spent a week (13 of us) at this property in July. It was called a resort by most of my family. We would usually congregate for the evening meal in the large dining room in the second house on property. It was an amazing place to stay in--walking, hiking, canoeing, etc., We were in the area for a family reunion and it provided our family with a home away from home. Just lovely.
Pennsylvania Wilds offer some of the best East Coast Mountain experience you can find! The property is completely secluded but yet close to many activities. Elk Viewing, Fishing, Hiking, Camping, Wildlife Viewing and any other outdoor adventures you can imagine. Fall brings the change in leaves and cool air while summer has the sound of frogs and comfortable nights looking at the amazing stars.
Other Activities: cross country skiing, wildlife viewing, horseshoes, Skeet Shooting, Near Elk Viewing, Snowshoeing, Bird Watching
