Occupying a rare private position on the shore unobstructed by trees that are plentiful elsewhere, this hard-to-find property boasts panoramic views of the open ocean, Muscle Ridge Channel and the islands that dot the coast all the way into the distance. From around the point to the left you can see all sorts of boats traveling up and down the coast from kayaks to schooners and then watch them recede into the far distance.
Treasure View Beach House is a classic and comfortable year-round Maine house with breathtaking views from sunrise to sunset. There is plenty of comfortable seating in the living room where wrap windows to the south, east and west bring in the drama of the oceanfront setting. Here it is always amazing how the colors and the light are forever changing. The intensity of the sunsets are indescribable. Use the binoculars or the telescope to watch the lobster boats, the tall ships, the eagles and ospreys and the seals.
Each bedroom has water views, comfortable beds and cotton linens. The proximity to the water brings the soft and soothing sound of gentle waves and cooling breezes even on the hottest days of summer. It is possible to have the best sleep here.
The fully equipped and well lit kitchen and the dining room with breakfast bar accommodate cooking and gathering while being convenient to the deck for grilling and outdoor dining.
For stay at home entertainment there are 2 televisions, wireless broadband, stereo, DVD and VCR players and lots of games, puzzles and books. Outdoors you can play croquet or badminton on the lawn, relax on the Adirondack chairs or enjoy a shady retreat on one of the decks 10' from the water's edge.

An abundance of outdoor seating is provided for friends and family to sit and relax and take in the view. In the water close by is a boulder, called a glacial erratic, that re-appears sitting on the sand when the tide goes out, dividing an arc of long low waves. Small rocky Treasure Island is a gem connected to the beach only at low tide, with its little protected cove, its stand of spruces and an ancient lobsterman’s shack. This is the evocative shorescape view which can be recognized in numerous 19th c. paintings of the Maine coast. All photos in this listing were taken from our house or from the lawns. They are the best views and best light in the area.
It is hard to put our experience at your amazing house into words, but I'll try... Magical, amazing, awe inspiring... Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of water and the gulls will be sorely missed.
Walking around Rockland, Camden, Boothbay and Port Clyde was a joy. Our 8 year old loved the Puffin Center and the whale watch and just exploring the tide. We bought our daughter a fishing rod which she used quite a lot.
Thank you for your hospitality and kindness. Your house is a treasure!
My husband and I truly enjoyed our weeklong stay in Owl's Head. Our children loved exploring Treasure Island at low tide and filled an entire jar with beautiful sea glass. The home was extremely comfortable and clean and allowed us to be close to the phenomenal Owl's Head Transportation Museum where we were exhibitors. We appreciated the helpful restaurant tips and ate at the Rockland Diner often!
Charming house, fully equipped, very comfortable, wonderfully located for touring, hiking and sightseeing the stunning area of Main Midcoast. The views of the ocean from the back garden are amazing and sitting by the water watching the tide and the enchanting "treasure island" opposite is very special. We loved every minute, recommend it wholeheartedly and would love to come back!
Classic Maine coastal life doesn't get any better than this! We have returned to this magical home time and again for over four years. The lovely cottage is extremely comfortable, clean and well equipped. The owners are gracious and go out of their way to ensure everything is in place for an unforgettable experience. Some of the nearby attractions include museums, galleries, state parks, beaches, restaurants, and light houses. But I often find it difficult to leave the private-feeling property; gorgeous views of sunrise and sunset, lobster boats, schooners and sailboats, sea birds and the changing tide are all magnetic and mesmerizing The beach that emerges at mid-tide is a wonderful place to walk and to find sea glass. I would highly recommend this property to anyone considering a vacation on the coast of Maine.
Everything you told me about your property and everything I envisioned are all true. The surrounding areas were also
wonderful......beautiful air, scenery and food (so many great
restaurants). Thanks for a glorious vacation.

I have just spent a most wonderful week in this lovely Home. The house was clean, bright, and just right for our needs. We love to cook and found the kitchen very well equipped for our needs. The views are fabulous and ever changing. The beach was great to walk along and find treasures in the sand. It was in a great location to do site seeing or just to sit and relax. I would be happy to come back here again.
