Located at 326 Amapas Street in the Casa Corazon Bed and Breakfast Complex. If you are looking for one of the new luxury properties with over the top amenities, then this is NOT the place for you. However, if you like the look of traditional Mexico in a very local setting, this is the right place for you! The unit has undergone extensive remodeling during the summer of 2016. All rooms have been repainted and new fixtures have been added to the bathroom including new shower sliding doors. A new 40" smart flat screen TV has been installed with updated and faster internet service. The kitchen has been updated with a granite counter top including a new under-mount sink with new fixtures. The outdoor terrace has a new window by the kitchen and wooden privacy louvers in the dining area as well as a new wood-tone glass sliding patio door.

From the expansive terrace of this unit, you will be treated to amazing views of Banderas Bay, the charming town of Puerto Vallarta, and the green mountains of the Sierra Madre mountain range. During the winter months, you can actually watch whales and porpoises play in the ocean as you relax on the terrace. The terrace is what you will enjoy the most about this unit! It has a covered area that includes a full 'open air' kitchen with a dining and living area. The remainder of the terrace is open to the sky, so you can work on your sun tan or watch the sun set in the evening. If it gets a bit too hot for you, no problem. Just turn on the outside terrace fan or step inside and turn on the A/C.


Construction Update: please note that there is a great deal of construction everywhere in Puerto Vallarta. This is a great location, but there is construction all around the unit as well as within the property. I believe it is our obligation to our past and future guests to make sure you are properly informed of the current construction and noise.


The interior of the studio is decorated in a traditional rustic Mexican style. The bathroom consists of an oversized tile shower and a separate dressing room with lavatory. You will have plenty of storage with a closet in the dressing room, an antique bureau filled with many drawers, and an antique Mexican chest which has storage as well as a place to rest your luggage. Relax in the queen size bed while watching cable TV or your favorite DVD on the 40" flat screen. For your convenience, there is a desk complete with a book shelf, as well as high speed wi-fi.

Just outside the door of unit #905, is an elevator which will take you down to the beach level where you can enjoy Ritmo's Beach Club right on the ocean front. You can relax under a palapa all day as long as you purchase a drink or food. The waiters are very friendly and accommodating. During the afternoon, you will enjoy beachside music with a live band or local DJ.

If you walk down the beach away from the pier (south), you will come to the Mantamar Beach Club. This is a very upscale beach club complete with gourmet restaurant and infinity pool with a swim up bar. You have to purchase a day pass to use the facility, but you can always use the bar and restaurant. Note that a portion of the fee for the day pass includes food and drink. If you walk down the beach toward the pier (north), you will pass many restaurants and bars. In the following order you will pass Blue Chairs Beach Club, Sapphire Beach Club (requires a day pass), El Dorado, La Palapa, Amapas Sunset, Cuates Y Cuetes Langostino's, Playa Los Arcos Restaurant, Daiquiri Dick's, The Blue Shrimp and A Taste of Italy.

If you exit the building at the office level on the 8th floor, head to your left down the hill on Amapas Street. A small mini-super is on the right. You can find most anything you will need here as well as delicious fresh home made local food. If you like fresh Tamales, this is where to find them! Continue to the bottom and turn right when you come to the San Marino Hotel. You will pass Cafe Bohemio.Continue on and you will pass Piazzetta Italian Restaurant. Turn left at Trattoria Michel and you will pass by Cafe Tizoc, La Pizza Nostra, Cafe San Angel, Que Pasa, the famous Andale, Tsunami, and Kaiser Maximillian. Turn right on to Basilio Badillo and you will go by Cafe de Olla and Joe Jack's Fish Shack. As you can see, you are staying in the perfect location to walk to any number of restaurants, bars, and shops.

The owners of this property came to Puerto Vallarta for the first time in 1985. It was 'Love at First Sight.' They have travelled all over the world, but always come back to this charming town to relax and visit local friends that have been made over the years. It is truly their home away from home.

This is a perfect location for you to enjoy the traditional flavor of Mexico. You are in a safe local Mexican neighborhood; definitely not the touristic 'Hotel Zone.' This is where you can slow down, relax, and make new friends. Walk out onto your private terrace and the Pacific Ocean greets you. However, you are just around the corner from shopping, restaurants, and night clubs!

What makes this condo unique

You can enjoy a daily breakfast from the bed and breakfast section of the condominium for a very reasonable daily additional charge. Or, if you prefer to pass on this option, it is just a short stroll down to the Olas Altas area where you have access to many great restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In fact, you are within walking distance to a wide array of shopping, dining, and entertainment. If you prefer, someone at the front desk of the property will be happy to call a taxi for you, but don't be afraid to get out and explore on your own! The employees at the front desk will be available to check all guests in and out of the unit. Any balances owed at check -in or check-out may be paid at the front desk. Please consider tipping the staff if they have done something to help make your stay more pleasant. They are more than willing to assist you if you simply ask.

Comfortable well appointed with a great location and awesome view

Owner and on site personnel very easy to work with. Charming studio very clean and recently upgraded. Entire property is going through a renovation. Would most certainly book again and recommend Ralph's property. Sleeping area with smart TV has AC and block out curtains. Open secure sliding doors to open air kitchen and dining nook leading to a balcony with potted tropical plants and a wonderful view of the bay and beach below. Located one floor up from street level this property allows privacy and easy access to town and small stores for general staples you may need. Some of our favorite go to restaurants were discovered to be close by. Cocos Kitchen, Taste, Jorge's Hideaway and El Set to name a few. This being the 14th visit to Puerto Vallarta and always finding new properties and neighborhoods to discover and frequently repeat accommodations when available, we would be happy to return here someday. Very nice staff

The studio is very cosy, This is my second stay. It is well equiped A/C, tv, and Internet (more or less reliable). The best asset is the staff: very helpful and charming. The other residents were very friendly also. The room is well decorated, but a little over-decorated. The access by the main etrance is hilly, it is easier to get there from the beach.

The view is nice but we can't see the whole Bandera bay beacause of a hotel building. The music from the hotel is to strong, even if there is no clients. Fortunately, the music stops around 11 o'clock in the evening.

Overpriced for what it was

Be warned, it's has a quaint deck with a decent kitchenette but practiacally unusable because there is jackhammering a hundred feet away. The room is nice except the mattress is extremely extremely firm. It's like sleeping on a board. If you like that it's great but if you don't it's quite uncomfortable. The fixtures are very old and the water pressure is extremely low. I could not get the hot water to turn off several times and needed to call maintenance and have someone come turn it off with a screwdriver. It really needs to be replaced The room is a decent size and I like the way it's decorated. I had a nice time overall, but in meeting people while there I realized that I could've gotten a much nicer place for a cheaper price.

Owner's Response: I appreciate all responses and suggestions from my guests. As I live in the U.S.A. and the unit it is Mexico, it helps me greatly to hear from customers. All fixtures were replaced in 2009 when the unit was purchased and renovated. There is natural wear and tear, and the shower issue has been resolved. It is unfortunate that the hot water would not turn off properly, but the local management has assured me that it has been replaced. I will be visiting the unit in the next few weeks to make sure that everything is in working order. Unfortunately, I have no control over the construction in the area. The unit is located in a very popular area that is going through a lot of growth. This is Mexico, not the U.S.A., so there is simply no noise and time constraints on construction work in residential areas as you might expect back home. However, in response to this complaint, I have posted a "construction notice" in the property description for other potential customers. Again, I thank the customer for his comments and I hope my actions have addressed the issues in as much as is possible.

Vegan Gourmet Foodie in Vallarta Paradise!

If home is where the heart is then this must be it ... the most amazing, private, and tastefully decorated place on the Pacific Ocean complete with a luscious jungle lanai, butterflies, hummingbirds, and a cool gourmet outdoor kitchen with unique accessories. Total nirvana listening to the crashing sound of the ocean waves layered over a backdrop of exotic birds and swallows serenading you from above. Already miss sipping a glass of fine Argentinian Malbec while cooking vegan delicacies on the Pacific Ocean -- Pura Vida! What a view! The reliable high speed wifi allowed me to Skype and watch movies on Netflix/TurboFlix on my iPad while cooking and/or chilling anywhere in the condo. The condo is meticulously clean, air conditioned, with ceiling fans. Fascinating book collection and flat screen TV with DVD player. Don't forget your HDMI cable.

Everything you could want is within walking distance. The beachfront is directly below and is fabulous first thing in the morning. The sunsets are spectacular. Exit onto the street via the 8th floor onto Amapas and you'll find the Deli Supermercado with an array of international delights, best guac and fresh hot corn tortillas. Take a short walk down to Basilio Badillo and Vinos America which has the best wine and spirits selection in town. The Pier and Malecon are a short walk from there. Visit the River Cafe to iguana watch and Daiquiri Dicks for a stellar vegan lunch. There is a daily market where all the restaurants buy their produce at the corner of Lazaro Cardenas and Camichin. Organically produce can be ordered online and delivered to your door via Organic-Select Mexico!!!

Bring your binoculars because from the comfort of this lanai I watched a dolphin fishing for hours and a giant turtle lay eggs. The elevator and the jungle filled ramp walkway down to the beach are great. There is a pool below overlooking the ocean and daily breakfast (extra). I highly recommend this place for anyone with mobility issues. The staff are very helpful, friendly, and nice. The owner Ralph responds immediately to your inquiries. Everything you need to know is clear, concise, current and emailed to you before arrival. There's even an email from an app just before your arrival which tells you about the area. What a treasure this special place is. Your expectations will be exceeded!

casa corazon a little paradise on Los muertos beach

We stayed at casa corazon for a week and it was a perfect blend of old mexico with its cobblestone streets and many neighborhood shops where we could be as busy or relaxed as we wanted. Wonderful places to eat or buy local fruits and pastries. The beach is gorgeous and not busy with too many people or vendors. casa corozon has everything you need to have a great time in Puerta Vallarta. . We spent a lot of time on balcony watching sunsets sipping our smoothies made from local fruits!

We would definitely stay here again!

GREAT location, easy communication w/ owners & beautiful views @ a reasonable price!

We've stayed at numerous condos around the Los Muertos beach area, but this was by far the most convenient. It had a few stairs, but also had an elevator which we've found to be rare.

There was a path through the complex that would take you right down to the Ritmos Green Chairs Beach Club & just a few steps from Blue Chairs or the new Mantamar or Sapphire Beach Clubs. Exit on the uphill side and it was just a short walk to several great restaurants and the plentiful artsy shops of Olas Altas.

Dealing w/ the owners was very easy and they even emailed us during the trip to see how we were doing. The WiFi & TV were simple and reliable, which is not always the case in PV. The kitchen and main seating area are outside on the covered patio which, while functional, didn't leave a lot of air conditioned space for entertaining. But, the view from there was amazing and if you're just going to be relaxing, it was more than adequate for 2 people.

The rate was fantastic for what you get as we've definitely paid more for less. The condo is not modern or lavish, but certainly above avg for the area and well worth the price.
