About Jennifer Linley Taylor
Collage is not only my medium as an artist, it best describes my life. I've traveled extensively throughout the world and have lived in France, Spain and New York City. I have worked as a fashion model, singer/songwriter and now as a full time artist, working in my studio out on Gordon Lane. I've had a variety of exhibitions worldwide, exhibited at the United Nations building in New York and at the world renowned Museo Vittoriano in Rome, Italy. I've done installations for Gallagher's Art and Fashion Gallery in Manhattan, and for French designer Catherine Malandrino's Soho store. My works are in private collections throughout the world. I have been coming to Mendocino my whole life, at first to visit my Grandmother and now as a homeowner for the last 20 years. I love to introduce people to this beautiful and unique area and enjoy meeting people from around the world that come here to visit.
Jennifer Linley Taylor purchased this Studio in 1995
Why Jennifer Linley Taylor chose Mendocino
I was looking for a forested piece of property where I could build a barnlike structure for my studio and also have a living space that would work well for a vacation rental. When I found these 5 acres so close to town, I knew I had found the perfect spot. As I do not live on the property, this works out really well, as I only work when then place is not rented.
What makes this Studio unique
The proximity to Mendocino village, the privacy and total silence other than birds and the sound of the wind in the redwoods makes this place perfect for those that are seeking refuge. It instills creativity and thought, peace and harmony. From the front door you can walk through your own forest or go on a long walk down Gordon Lane and across State Park to the headlands.

Rustic Romantic Rare
A thoughtful and unpretentious space. It faces the forest so one wakes up to the hush of lush green trees. A haven, a refuge, a lovely, comfortable space.
My wife and I spent our 1st anniversary here. We were both SO happy to have been able to enjoy this gem for our occasion. It's quiet, tucked away, cozy, and simply amazing. Being surrounded by the forest was truly relaxing. Eating breakfast and sipping coffee in the brisk September mornings was invigorating!
We loved coming back to this place at the end of each of our adventure filled days. At the the end, it was terribly hard to leave. We hope to visit again someday and stay here again. Anyone who stays here is truly lucky.
A wonderful place
The property is in a secluded woods not far from the highway. Beautiful place would definitely stay here Gain
Great place in a great small town. Yep, this works. Everything is well done.
We didn't want to leave. The view from the deck was wonderful, the interior inviting and comfortable and our hostess, Jennifer, was very responsive. A very private retreat. Everything was as described and very user-friendly. The very comfortable bed was quite tall for me to get in and out of, but that was easily remedied as there was a step stool in the closet next to the vacuum cleaner. We had a great stay and hope to return again in the future.
Serene, comfortable, private... and very conveniently located
We were very pleased with our stay at The Forest Suite. It is comfortable, clean, well equipped and conveniently located. We ate breakfast and dinner on the deck every day and loved being surrounded by trees. We enjoyed exploring the Mendocino Headlands and Russian Gulch State Park, had fun on the Skunk Train rail bikes, and picnicking at Pacific Star winery. It was a wonderful getaway.
