Just minutes from route rt93, yet situated on a quiet hillside, our vacation house is the perfect gateway for everything the White Mountains have to offer. The house is spacious and recently renovated and refurnished. The kitchen is well equipped with new appliances. The living room is spacious, but cozy with a large couch, a wide screen TV and a fireplace. There are four comfortable bedrooms in addition to a bunk/entertainment room where the kids have their own space. Friends and family stay connected with free long distance calling and Internet throughout the house. Only minutes away from the Waterville Valley ski resort, and just 20 mins. from Loon Ski Mountain, New Hamsphire's largest ski area. Jump in one of the three pools or enjoy the mountain vistas from the community center beach and pond, right on the estate.

House: The house is nestled in two acres of woodland on the edge of the white mountains national forest.

Just 2 miles from Rt93 exit 28 and only 8 miles down scenic Rt49 to Waterville Valley ski resort or 10 miles. (see map)

Comfortably sleeps two families or three couples. Bedrooms are located across 2 floors, includes 1 King bedroom, 1 Queen Bedroom, 1 Queen Bunk room and 2 lower level bunk rooms containing 3 full-size bunks beds (sleeps 6). This spacious property also contains 2.5 bathrooms, Kitchen, Dining room, Vaulted Living room ceiling and lower-level family room.

It is equipped with WIFI, TV, DVD and Music system.

Optional maid service is available.

Ski and recreation: The property is located in the beautiful white mountains, with access to many ski areas, National forests, Lakes and the natural beauty of New Hampshire.

Waterville Ski Resort is just 8 miles up the valley and the scenic Waterville valley town square just a short distance further. The area also boasts easy access to Loon, Cannon mountain and many other world-class ski areas.

Waterville Estates also offers a community ski-lodge and its own mini Ski Mountain and ski lifts. Although this may be no challenge for intermediate or advanced skiers its a perfect destination for Kids and beginners. The Waterville ski mountain is exclusive to Waterville Estate guests and just $10 per person per day and great value for family groups. The mountain is open subject to weather and snow conditions.

Waterville Estates Community Center and Facilities: The property is located on Waterville Estates; which provides amazing family facilities including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, spa, gym, bar and all available free to renters ( '5' guest passes included in the rental; additional can be purchased on a daily basis from Waterville Community center).

About Dave and Jackie Wild

The Wild family have owned this peaceful location for several years and as a family of 4 we enjoy the quiet of the setting, but access to the outdoors and the activities of the community center if and when we need it. We are originally from the UK, but now citizens we really appreciate the beauty and tranquility of the white mountains and access to all the diverse activities the area offers; year round.

The house is equipped with entertainment, high speed internet is well laid out for 1,2 or 3 families. With diverse sleeping and accommodation options over 3 floors, the house offers great flexibility for larger family oriented groups. The house is modern, well equipped and we try our best as a family with young kids to provide facilities that families appreciate.

Great multi family getaway.

We had three families with children staying at the house. The bedroom setup worked great. It was really hard to find a place that had beds beds that would accommodate three couples. A lot of houses had mostly twin sized bunk beds. The house was close to lots of activities and the community center was great to occupy the kids time.

Great location, good layout for large groups, very clean

We have rented for five winter seasons and have been very pleased. Owners take good care of the house and are very responsive. House works very well for our family. Everyone has privacy but we can also all gather togther.

Comfortable & Relaxing Weekend

The house had all the comforts we needed for a weekend away.

The house was clean, tidy and well provisioned.

It's in a great location for easy access to the community center and there is lots to do in the area.

The living and dining area are large and spacious and was great to get all the family together.

The bedrooms and sleeping arrangements were very flexible and enough space for everyone.

Had a great weekend up in NH and would definitely recommend to anybody looking for a relaxing vacation in the woods.

Property needs upkeep and has lots of mildew/bad smell

I really don't like leaving a bad review, but I don't think it's fair that other people should be as unpleasantly surprised as we were by the state of this house.

Number 1, the bottom floor, with the bunk beds and queen size bed, stinks horribly of mildew and that smell has spread throughout the house. Every time we entered, the smell hit us like a ton of bricks. There is a de-humidifier running down there, plus several febreze and other types of odor absorbers, so the owners are aware of the problem. It is very unpleasant and perhaps not healthy. It is certainly not a great place to relax. I hung up a couple of shirts in the master bedroom closet and couldn't wear them afterwards because they'd absorbed the smell.

The bathrooms and kitchens were almost clean. Sinks and toilets were ok. But, for example, the first thing I did was scrub yucky gunge off of the kitchen faucet -- it came off easily, what was it doing there? In the upstairs bathroom, the tiles on the floor needed a good clean all along the edges. Walls were scuffed, there was no furniture for clothing in the second bedroom upstairs, and the closet doors were broken. The heating in the main bedroom would not turn on.

In the main floor bathroom, the linoleum is ripped up and yucky. The lock on the front door is broken so there is just one key for the house. Everything is just run down.

Now, I wasn't going to mention this, but now I see that the visitors before us had the same problem we did with the high-speed internet. We needed this for our daughter's on-line courses. The upshot is that we spent hours troubleshooting the problem, installing a new router, and setting up security. Note that at one point, the housekeeper left the new router for us to install,, without asking us if we'd do it. The owners were out of the country, and obviously had no-one competent locally to deal with any technical problems at the property.

We did point out to the housekeeper that we were doing a very expensive job for free on our vacation, and after our stay the owner did pay us $100 for the trouble we went to. However, I am seriously annoyed now that I know this could have been taken care of before we arrived. Not cool.

I'm sorry, but I think the owners need to do some serious ripping up of that bottom floor before the house will make for a pleasant stay.

Great place to stay in the White Mountains

Our son was graduating from Plymouth State college and we wanted to enjoy a weekend in the white mountains. The house is nestled on Campton mountain and you feel completely at peace. With only a 15 min drive you are in Plymouth. During the weekend we made a fire in the fire pit, barbecued some steak and hung out on the deck. We had a great time hiking Welsh-Dickey which is a great 3hr climb with great vista's. It is only 10mins from the house. Someone also shared a secret climb to Rattlesnake mountain on Squam lake, which has a great view over the lake.

The house itself is beautifully decorated and feels light, open and spacious. There is a big couch for everyone to hang out on in the living room. Also the dinner table provides enough room for a family of 6 total. With the upstairs and downstairs bedrooms there was plenty sleeping options.

I'm an avid cyclist and love gravel road riding, so I did an awesome ride in the Campton, Plymouth and Holderness area. So not just great for hiking.

For coffee lovers there are some great coffee places in Holderness and Plymouth.

Overall we had a great and fun weekend. And a Plymouth State Alumni. Definitely recommend a stay.
