The Treehouse has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath plus an extra sink and vanity in the master. There is a king size bed in the master and a full size bed in the small 2nd bedroom.

The open living/dining room features vaulted ceilings, floor to ceiling glass panels in the dining alcove and opens to a nice covered treetop patio with a view over the rooftops to the park beyond. There are 2 gas grills shared by 3 properties in front of the building. Enjoy the 42' HDTV with cable and Apple TV in living area and an Ipod docking clock radio in the master bedroom. We have many games and books for adults and kids alike. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook a full meal or you can grind our locally roasted organic coffee beans for a cup of coffee while you get ready to go out. Besides coffee, we offer a variety of teas, sugar, Splenda and enough 1/2 & 1/2 to get you through at least your first morning or two.

This 3rd level condo (ONLY 8 STEP WALK UP with 2 reserved parking spots right in front of the stairs), in a small 6 unit complex, is located less than two blocks from Barton Springs Pool, the Hike and Bike Trail and Zilker Park. Walk to Chuy's, Shady Grove, Austin Java Company and several other local Austin favorites. Cab fare to downtown 6th street area is only $10 or various Ride Share drivers are usually around the area.

Barton Springs Pool in Zilker Park: We are located about two blocks from the single best swimming pool in the universe, Barton Springs. Located in the heart of Zilker Park, use our beach towels, mats, noodles and/or camp chairs and enjoy the spring fed, chlorine-free waters of this over 1/8 mile long watering hole. Also enjoy the hike and bike trail, boating on the river, frisbee golf, the Nature Center, the Botanical Gardens, the playground and the train for the kids or a picnic on the great lawn.

Downtown Austin!: I'm sure you've heard of the madness on 6th Street, but certainly don't miss out on the sights, sounds and eats on South Congress, 2nd Street, 4th Street and then West 6th Street!

Peach, the Broker in the family, is an avid golfer and likes to do anything outdoors as well as garden in his Zilker area home's backyard. Cynthia is a real estate agent and works with Peach in their business and now manages all 7 of their vacation rentals along with their son, Jay. Cynthia loves to cook the vegetables that Peach grows and take long walks or bike rides. They both volunteer for Keep Austin Fed, rescuing food.

Welcome to The Heart of Austin! All of our properties are located within a block or two of Austin's crown jewel, Zilker Park! You honestly don't need a car if you're on the fence, just rent some bikes and you'll have easy access to just about anything you'd want to do in the area. Barton Springs Pool, Zilker Botanical Gardens, The Barton Creek Greenbelt, the Great Lawn (home of ACL), Chuy's Tex-Mex, Shady Grove, the Saxon Pub, Casa De Luz, and so many more awesome places that are less than a mile away.   • This is a 'Hollywood' bathroom, with closed access from the master bedroom as well as the main hallway. There is separate vanity in the master. Tiled shower, vanity and flooring. There are plenty of towels, including beach towels for trips down to Barton Springs. We have Whole Foods label shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion as well as hand soap, bar soap and make up removal wipes supplied for you.

Notes:
This has been many people’s personal favorite for one reason: the view. There’s nothing like waking up every morning and feeling the sun shining through the floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room while you sip your coffee and contemplate the day. It literally feels like your up in a treehouse. The covered patio is a great place to enjoy the fresh air and view from also. This unit features two bedrooms and a “Hollywood” bathroom, which has a second sink/vanity in the Master Bedroom that can be closed off from the main bathroom. This is the perfect place for a family coming to enjoy what Austin has to offer or could house up to two couples for a music festival or a weekend out on the town. There is a king bed in the master and a full-size bed in the smaller second bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials, such as coffee maker, coffee & grinder, water boiler, toaster, blender, cookware, etc.

Our week at the Treehouse exceeded our expectations. My husband and I have stayed at a variety of VRBOs in recent years and most have been enjoyable and a good value. The defining difference at this property is the attention to detail, timely communications, cleanliness & organization, and the availability of instructions/relevant info. They know how to do this right!

Very enjoyable stay

Our stay was perfect. The place was just what we wanted and the patio is great. Walk to Barton Springs and restaurants. Central location is great. The hosts went to the trouble of putting together a book with restaurant recommendations! It’s the little things. Highly recommend!

The "tree house" was awesome! Location was great and the place was impecable.

The "tree house" was very cozy and well kept. It had EVERYTHING you need, and the location allowed us to go do bike tours, swim at Barton Springs, visit Z park, go kayaking, etc. All instructions provided by the lender were great and accurate on what to expect. I recommend this place for a small family or a couple. Really nice cozy place to enjoy the best of Austin.

Beautiful place, great location, awesome owners

We had a great long weekend in the Treehouse. Jay and Cynthia had great communication and tips leading up to and during our stay. The home was well kept, comfortably stocked, and even set up with a high chair before we arrived. We will certainly check availability here first when planning our next trip to Austin. Absolutely Adorable

They thought of everything. Quiet neighborhood. Great view. Lived on the balcony. Clean, modern and absolutely adorable.

One issues...they state it is for $89 per night, but by the time you are done with cleaning and fees it is $200 per night. Not owners fault. Just misleading. We booked it anyway because we thought it was a great place, and it was.

Owner's Response: In response to Thomas' issue with the rate, he actually paid reduced rates of $115 for the weeknight and $135 for the weekend night, not $89 per night. With cleaning and tax, it totalled $373.75, which doesn't include the fee that HomeAway charges. We used to not charge a separate cleaning fee and had higher nightly rates, but then we didn't compete since the industry standard is to charge a cleaning fee. Even at $200 per night, this is a much better deal than the hotels and you get 2 bedrooms, a nice covered patio with a view and a fully furnished kitchen, which saves money on eating out.

Terrific location!

Recently rented the Treehouse for a long weekend with an out-of-town friend. The location is perfect--close to downtown, Zilker park, shops, restaurants, etc., and although not large, the apartment itself was clean and comfortable. Sadly, it rained the entire weekend, so we weren't able to enjoy the nice balcony/patio. However, the owners were helpful and responsive, and I'd recommend this spot for anyone wanting a convenient spot from which to explore Austin.
