About the property

Townhome, 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 2-10)

Wonderful 2-story townhome with 3+ bedrooms, 3 baths, and attached garage. Located in quiet East Vail location with incredible views and backing up to national forest land. Yes, we have high speed internet with WiFi and a big screen TV.

This bright, airy, open townhome has a great room with 20 foot ceilings, wood burning fireplace, and game/reading nook. There is a main floor bedroom with 2 single beds (can be pushed together to form a king-sized bed) along with a full bath. There is, also, a sleeper sofa in the great room for extra guests. The second floor holds 2 additional bedrooms and 2 full baths including a master suite with private bath. In addition, there is a loft with 2 more single beds. Including the sofa sleeper and loft, the home can comfortably sleep 10 people. The kitchen includes a snack bar and opens to a dining area. There is, also, a main floor laundry room with a full size washer and dryer, and a cozy rear deck.

The free town of Vail bus stops at the main entrance to the complex throughout the day. Across the street from our unit is a full service athletic facility called the Vail Racquet Club with the popular Blu's Restaurant and Bar, plus hot tubs, swimming pool, tennis courts, fitness classes, massage, etc (available for a daily fee.) Only steps from Mountain Meadows is the Big Horn Park with a children's playground and a dog area, too.

About Carol Bennett

Our father skied at Vail on opening day, so Vail has always held a special place in our hearts. Our first family place was a condo at the Vail Racquet Club. Our family loves sports and the Vail Racquet Club provided plenty of activities to fill our days beyond skiing, such as tennis, swimming, hot tubs, exercise classes, and more. As the family got older and grew larger we needed a bigger home. We loved East Vail so the next step was to simply move across the street from the Vail Racquet Club to the Mountain Meadows townhouse complex. Our current home fits our large family and has the bonus of having an attached garage to park not only the car but skis, bikes, snowshoes, etc.

Carol Bennett purchased this townhome in 1981

Why Carol Bennett chose Vail

We love the quiet, mostly residential area of East Vail. Just a block away from Big Horn Park, located on the free town bus route, across the street from an athletic club and restaurant, and only a 10 minute drive from the village (or approximately a 20 minute bike ride.)

What makes this townhome unique

In the winter, in addition to offering some of the best downhill skiing in the world, there are lots of cross country and snowshoe trails. In the summer there is horseback riding, river rafting, biking, golfing, hiking, fishing, tennis, and swimming. Throughout the year Vail offers several music and arts events.

We had a great stay. Your place is great, lots and lots of space, super location and easy for the bus in the mornings.

Great location; perfect for big or multifamily travel

Short walk to bus that brings you to Vail (and maybe other resorts, but we just took it to Vail). Very close to the bus stop is the Racket club and Pool for the kids, to relax in after a long day of skiing. And don't forget the pub on the 2nd floor for some adult libations. We did drive to Beaver Creek (20 minutes) and Breckenridge (40 minutes), and Vail is about 10 minutes drive. We would stay here again, for sure. Had 4 adults and 4 kids and there was plenty of space. Thanks much for making our trip a success!

Perfect home for a family!

  • 5 of 5

This townhome was wonderful! We enjoyed the comfort and space. It had everything we needed. It was away from the crowds of Vail but close enough to get to the ski hill in 10 minutes. You could take the free shuttle in to town. We drove, but I saw many people getting on the shuttle with their ski stuff. The bus stop was a short walk. The heated garage was a luxury. I would rent this place again!

Vail Value!!

  • 4 of 5

Our family enjoyed a New Years holiday at this well kept townhouse and we would recommend it to anyone with a large family ....we were 10 and never felt cramped or pressed for space. The loft is perfect for teenagers.

You will be pleasantly suprized when you walk in at the view from inside, the living area is surrounded by large windows that provide plenty of light and have shades for privacy in the evening. Kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans, utensils, glasses, coffee cups etc.

I packed a small luggage with coffee, tea, soup noodles, instant oatmeal, popcorn and other dry snacks and was glad I did since the nearest store is a bus ride away.

The bus system is awesome ....Mountain Meadows Raquet Club bus station has a covered roof with a bench inside for waiting and its one of the 1st pickups so always a place to sit. Its also a very short walk from townhouse, we had my senior citizen father with us and he did just fine!

We had breakfast at the Raquet Club across the street a couple of days during our 6 day stay...server was very nice and food was good. If you visit during peak season be sure and make reservations if you want to dine in Vail Village....We did this prior to payed off because we were a large group.

The place looks just the pictures shown if you like them then you will like this townhouse! Great place at a resonable price!

Perfect place for a big group

  • 4 of 5

We had 5 of our adult children and a couple of their friends visiting before Xmas and they all wanted to get some skiing in...needless to say finding an affordable place to rent that can accomodate that many people can be tough...this townhouse was perfect. It has 3 bedrooms and a loft + a sleeper sofa and 3 full baths, so everyone had a bed and getting showered was no problem. The kitchen was very nicely stocked for doing meals for a large group - plenty of dishes, glasses and big pots and pans (and a dishwasher). The bus stop is an easy walk-very important after a day on the slopes. It is also one of the first stops for the East Vail bus which is key on a powder day when the early buses are crowded. As others have reported it is not fancy and the furnishings are a bit tired (if you ask me perfect for a big group). The biggest negative is the complex doesn't have any ammenities (hot tub). The Vail Racquet Club is right across the street and you can use all their facilities, although it is $20/day/person...groups bigger than 4, the 5th person is free. The kids did use the Racquet Club, but would have been happier with something that wasn't so expensive.

Good value

  • 4 of 5

Spacious townhouse a very short walk to the free East Vail shuttle. The space, appliances and decor were all a bit dated, but for the price we were happy. It would be nice if the cable subscription had a few more channels. It seemed like all there was to watch was local news, Discovery and a few others. Of course most visitors won't care much about that and it was only a minor disappointment for us. The garage was a nice plus. The owner was very easy to deal with and the maintenance crew was very quick to shovel the sidewalk after 10 in of snow the previous night. I would recommend this place for a large group looking for a well located, affordable vacation rental.
