Hi my name is Isabella and I find this place perfect for a holiday in Rome. You have restaurant, bar, pub, museum, park, cinema, shopping district, monument...every thing just walking. YOU ARE SIMPLY IN THE CENTER OF EVERY THING!

ISABELLA purchased this apartment in 2007

Why ISABELLA chose Rome

The apartment is situated in the heart of Trastevere, the picturesque medieval area located on the west bank of the Tiber. Part of the historical centre of Rome, Trastevere is the perfect place to glimpse a bit of the old world while still enjoying the lifestyle of today's Romans. From the cobblestone streets to the overhanging laundry lines, senses are pleasantly awakened with every step you take in this bohemian neighborhood. Equidistant from the Coliseum and the Vatican, Trastevere is an ideal place to discover the secrets of Rome on foot. Saint Peter's and the Vatican city are about twenty minutes away and upon crossing the Tiber you get to Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps, the Roman Forum, and many other sights, all within 20 to 30 minutes walking. If you want to take public transportation, the area is extremely well served by the electric buses of Rome.

What makes this apartment unique

A few blocks from the apartment, you can find the outdoor market of Campo de' Fiori, where tented booths display a bountiful array of tantalizing fruits and vegetables, or the Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, the most popular gathering place in the area. In this square you will find the church of Santa Maria in Trastevere, one of the oldest and most beautiful churches in Rome which is very much worth a visit. The area becomes very lively at night as it is full of trendy bars and dozens of quality restaurants and pizzerias, where you can taste great Italian food at reasonable prices.

Fantastic location!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed in this apartment for 9 days in October. It's in a fantastic, lively location - simply walk out the front door and there are a ton of restaurants, bars and shops within a few moments' walk. It's just across the river from the city center, and it was easy to either walk (20 - 30 mins) or ride the bus or tram to whichever monuments and museums I wanted to see that day. I traveled solo, and felt safe both in the apartment and in the neighborhood (and throughout Rome, to be honest).

Isabella was very friendly, and was quick to respond to emails and texts, and Salvatore drove me from and to the airport - so nice! The entire transaction, from making a reservation, to checking in, to departure, was very smooth.

The apartment has strong wifi and is equipped with everything you might need in the kitchen. The bed is very comfortable and I loved having the bathtub available in the evenings after a long day of walking.

A couple of things to note:

- the washer doesn't seem to have a dryer component, so be sure that you have time to air-dry whatever you're washing.

- if you're looking for complete silence, this might not be the apartment for you. The windows are well insulated and I ended up closing the green outer shutters at night as well - and it was fine for me, but there was normal city and apartment building noise from time to time. This is a lively area, so people were out in the streets until late at night.

In al, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and I would definitely recommend this apartment and would rent it again if I visit Rome in the future!

Owner's Response: Hi Megan thank you very much! when I have read your fantastic words I felt happy becouse all my efforts to offer a nice and confortable apartment have paid off. About window that are very special one with double glass and a mechanism which when actuated makes the apartment completely isolated acoustically. Infact I have bought them becouse have a sounproofing certification. I always ask the house manager to explain how to properly close windows. I hope to welcome you again in the future with a more 10% discount for loyal customer:-)) ciao Isabella

The ideal place to stay in Rome

  • 5 of 5

We were a family of 4. 2 adults and 2 children (10 and 6) We stayed for 5 nights. The location is in Trastevere area which we absolutely loved. It the best place to stay in Rome. Amazing streets to wonder and explore, great selection of restaurants to eat from and area comes to life at night with street stalls and entertainers. Host Isabella was great with communication to book apartment and organising us to be picked up and taken to and from the apartment and available to answer any questions during stay. The apartment was great and had everything we needed and had small elevator as on third floor, which helps with the luggage. High recommend and would stay again when in Rome. Thanks Isabella.

Perfect spot to see Rome

  • 5 of 5

Husband and I traveled to Rome to visit our son studying abroad for one week. Stayed in one of the most charming areas in Rome - Trastevere; lots of authentic narrow streets, authentic buildings and charming places to eat. We felt so "Roman" living here for one week. Isabella was a charming hostess. Arranged for Salvatore to pick us up from the airport/drop us off at the airport for 50 euros each way; charming gentleman!! The studio is on the 3rd floor away from nightlife street noise. All the basic amenities for a one week stay. We felt safe and secure. Isabella very responsive to or questions(had question about washing machine and she responded promptly. If you are a couple of 2; cant do much better than this!!

Fantastic place to stay in Rome!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and absolutely loved it! The apartment itself was very cute (just as shown in the pictures) and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for us as there are great restaurants in the neighbourhood and the all the major sights are only a short walk away. The small elevator is great for getting your luggage up and down from the apartment, and for anyone who has difficulty with stairs. We found the two flights of stairs quite manageable. Isabella was lovely and ensured we had all we needed and was available for any questions we had during our stay.

Perfect Location to stay while visiting Roma

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in Isabella's apartment for 2 weeks in March. It was perfect! She is a wonderful hostess, providing everything we could have needed for our stay. The apartment is within walking distance of all the big sites in Rome. The bus stops are also close and easy to use. We had restaurants and bars literally steps away, along with grocery stores and adorable boutiques. On our next trip to Rome, we will definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this beautiful, clean, and centrally located apartment. Thank you Isabella for making our stay in Rome so comfortable.
