In the midst of meadows and fields, just outside the village, the former railway station Bresewitz is located on the tracks of the disused Darßbahn. 200 meters from the next house and 400 meters from the nearest road, you can enjoy peace and a wide view over water and land. The old brick house from 1911 was completely modernized and expanded. Since we are architects ourselves, we have of course made an effort to preserve the old structures and components largely in order to preserve the character of the building and to make the earlier use to experience. Thus, the floorboards were preserved and the wooden windows faithfully renewed. Each apartment is individually decorated, with antique farmhouse furniture in waxed fir wood, as well as light, light wicker furniture and individual modern designer or Bauhaus furniture. The house is located on a 7.000 square meter plot where each guest finds his own place. Along the old tracks runs the newly created bike path, which leads off the main road through forest and meadows in the one direction to Barth (5 miles) and in the other direction to the white Baltic Sea beach after Zingst (5 miles) or Prerow (9 miles).
The bright, friendly apartment, the "Nordwohnung" is located on the first floor of the station building and has windows to the west, north and east. From them you have a wonderful panoramic view of the Bodden meadows, the Saaler Bodden and the old railway bridge. The apartment is individually furnished with wicker furniture and antique farm furniture: The large living room has a nice dining area, from which you can see far beyond the Bodden meadows. A fireplace creates comfort even on cold evenings. From the open kitchen you look over the country and uses the good kitchen equipment and the beautiful dishes by Hedwig Bollhagen to cook ambitious menus from the range of regional products, especially since there is enough space for guests at the large dining table. From the living room is a sleeping alcove with two beds on a 160 wide mattress from. Often children can find their cuddly playground, but couples can stay here too. The secluded bedroom has a four-poster bed and a painted old rustic cabinet. From here it goes directly to the shower room with sink, toilet and bidet. A festival offers ventilation and views to the north to the swing bridge.
An adjoining children's room with a double bunk bed made of pine wood can be rented.
For children there are wooden toys and other games. Individually controllable gas central heating, good kitchen equipment and beautiful garden furniture are available. To sunbathe, eat and play you will find in the large garden various seats, a large barbecue area and a bench on the rails to watch the sunset. Several old railway cars complete the ensemble and are reminiscent of the historic Darßbahn.
The place Bresewitz lies as the last outpost of the mainland on a peninsula between Barthe and Bodstedter Bodden. About the old railway turning bridge, he is directly connected to the Darß (8 km), the Zingst (2 km) and the Baltic Sea coast (4 km). Either by car over the country road or by bike through the Bodden meadows is reached in 10 - 20 minutes, the white Baltic Sea beach, which forms with more than 60 km, the northern edge of the peninsula Fischland / Darß / Zingst. The nearest accessible places are the fishing and holiday villages Zingst (3 km), Prerow on the Darß (8 miles) and the small town of Barth (4 miles) with its harbor on the Barther Bodden. Everywhere you will find a variety of shops and restaurants, where everything from simple home cooking to the gourmet menu, which comes from the fresh and salt water. For further excursions, the cities of Rostock (64 km) and Stralsund (45 km) or the artists' village Ahrenshoop (36 km). A network of bike lanes is the alternative to the car. There are wind and kite surf spots in many places on the bay.
