This is a unique, custom-built, Non-Smoking, villa on the water at Fort Myers Beach. It has large rooms with ten foot ceilings throughout. In addition the greatroom, kitchen, and master bedroom have vaulted ceilings.
The greatroom opens up to a 500 square foot covered porch overlooking the pool area and water way. It is situated on one of the prettiest lots on the beach in a private association with its own board walk and tennis court. You can tie up a boat or fish out the back door. There are thousands of acres of pristine waterways and mangroves to explore just a couple of hundred yards from the property.
There is a solar heated private pool on the ground floor with an attached jacuzzi hot tub with waterfall. Favorite moments is having Champagne sitting in the spa under a starlit night. During the day the heated pool is great for the children to play in. Lounge chairs are available for mom and dad to relax and sun on.
Just a three minute walk from the house is the world famous Fort Myers Beach. Fort Myers Beach is actually a seven mile long island called Esteros Island and is a separate town from Fort Myers City. Early morning walks or runs on the beach is a great way to exercise. Seven miles of continuous beach is plenty to get your heart and soul going.
We stayed in the home in Oct. 2012. Let me start by saying the home is very nice. The beds were comfortable, the location is great. Some of the TV's were very old (even played VHS tapes). The beach towels were wafer thin, they must have girls because they were nearly all shade of pink or aqua. The morning sun came is the large patio door and windows making the rooms warm in the mornings. The lighting in the bath heated the bath up so much I couldn't turn them on . When we arrive the DVD player in the great room did not work and we had a couple other issues that needed repair. We called the leasing agent, and told them about it. The next day they sent someone out to repair. He was able to fix the screen door and the bath room drain but was not able to fix the DVD player. Then, a couple days later the TV in one of the bedrooms quit so we called the leasing agent again. They sent someone out but he was not able to repair the TV. Never did anyone call us to say when they were going to repair or replace the DVD player or the TV. They never did repair or replace. The toaster only toasted on one side, this I didn't report until after we returned home. I don' know if our issues should have been corrected by the homeowner or the leasing agent, either way, I hope they were corrected before the next renters came.
Spent a week in this spacious, well-appointed home for the annual Florida mini family reunion. Home was vwey comfortable without being overly pretentious. The layout allowed people to retire to their rooms without being bothered by those still up late visiting. The February Florida weather cooperated, so we were able to lounge in / by the pool and enjoy the hot tub. Great location on a quiet street. Just a few minutes walk to the beach, but far enough off of Estero Blvd to be peaceful and relaxing. Publix grocery store also just a short jaunt down the block. Rented bikes at The Dolphin Inn for the week and biked to Lover's Key State Park several days. We all agreed it was one of the more relaxing times we've had together, largely in part to being able to stay in such a great place with a great location.
