One of the sofa's is a double bed sized sleeper sofa. Each bedroom has its own private bath. The larger of the bedrooms has a King Bed. The second bedroom has two twin beds (may be put together upon special request). There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room. Floors are warmed with radiant heat in the Winter. There is cable TV in the living room and high-speed wireless roaming internet access throughout the home and property.

The trumpet-vine-covered bricked entry/portico with cast-iron benches and chairs provides an additional seasonal outdoor gathering space.

Open layout combines living, dining and kitchen.

Temperature controlled with A/C and in-floor radiant heating.

Quality Dansk-ware place settings and Mexican hand-blown glassware.

Each bedroom with own tiled bathroom; master bathroom has a full-sized tub.

Brick floors and kilim carpets throughout.

Peace, quiet, and privacy in a secluded and attractive enclave.

Ceiling/floor fans and portable evaporative coolers.

In-house washer and dryer.

HD Cable TV & DVD.

High-speed roaming wireless internet access throughout the home and property.

Off street parking: 1 car for Colibri and 1 for Tranquila (or two for either home if the other is not occupied by other guests).

If you need to format for our comments, you may identify the +++'s first.

Suggestions to improve stay: (1) Stopper in the guest bathroom sink missing. (2) Simplify instructions for operation of the TV and A/C. (3) Replace mattress in Master B/R. (4) When locking windows while absent from Colibri, one person has to push from outside the window. (5) Washing machine and dryer were great convenience, however, the bottom of the dryer door was packed with lint which we removed with a fork...unnoticed at first until we saw a little bit hanging down from the door and began to pull and it just kept coming out.

YOU get +++'s for (1) the locking system on the entrance door. (2) Lots of closet/dresser/shelf space. (3) Loved the books in guest B/R. (4) Well stocked kitchen and all appliances worked as required including iron. (5) Very clean rental and loved the size of the refrigerator/freezer. (6) Plenty of room for 4 ladies to spread out to read, to watch TV, to use Wifi to watch amazon movies, to keep ironing board set up all the time because someone always had to press what to wear to the opera, ballet, chamber festival etc. (7) Great location. We walked at least twice, sometimes more to Plaza daily.

In conclusion, thanks for taking our calls and responding so quickly to our questions. We will want the whole property next year and will contact you for availability after we get performance dates.

Great location, great size

  • 5 of 5

Overall, wonderful. Reasonable price, great location, quaint. Our only suggestion is that it is time to upgrade the mattress on the big bed. It was worn and sloped. Otherwise, the stay was effortless.

Great location, great home, and great patio!

  • 5 of 5

The Casa Colibri is now one of our favorite places to stay in Santa Fe! We especially loved sitting out on the patio in the morning with a cup of coffee, walking to the plaza, and then returning to enjoy the patio again in the evening.

Comfortable cottage in hills above the old town.

  • 4 of 5

Comfy cottage with great beds and living room/dining room furniture. Great Master bedroom, small guest bedroom. Very close to the square but a bit of an uphill walk back. Beautiful porch for hanging out with drinks after sight seeing. Very quiet neighborhood.

Needs a Little Update

  • 3 of 5

The location was very good and a nice walk into the historic square. It was well stocked and included laundry detergent, dishwasher pellets, papertowels and dish soap along with both shampoo and conditioner. It was clean. Things to improve on would be in the master bath where there is a pedestal sink they need to have a shelf or small table to place your bathroom items. The shower door in the other bathroom needs repair--it does not open and close, someone should check light bulbs and butane because we had 3 bulbs out and could not barbeque because there was no propance. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were great. Good hot water and pressure. Netflix would be nice.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. It is through the reviews that we can learn how to improve as well as hear of the things we're doing right. I am so sorry about the propane, we don't leave extra tanks at the homes but if you had let us know that it ran out, we would have replaced the tank immediately. For some reason, light bulbs continually go out no matter the amount of checking. However, we did check during our normal home inspection after your stay and we only discovered one light bulb that was out. It could be you didn't know where some of the switches were? It can be confusing is the older homes. We do leave extra bulbs in the kitchen and we also would have gladly come down to replace the light bulb if you had informed us. I also checked the shower glass door and, for me, it works fine? No other guest has ever mentioned it so I am not quite sure what the problem is? Again, thank you and I am sorry for any inconvenience. We strive to make all our guests comfortable and happy. All the best, Richard
