Hi - We're Pam and Steve, your hosts for your Florida vacation. We've enjoyed sharing our home with travelers from around the world who come to enjoy the culture and lifestyle of the Gulf Coast...not to mention the worlds greatest beaches!
The Owner purchased this house in 2009
We fell in love with the unique quality of life and location in our Museum district property several years ago. The locals call it "west of the trail" - indicating a unique and somewhat eclectic neighborhood between US Hwy 41 (Tamiami Trail) and Sarasota Bay. We're actually 2 blocks from some of the best bay views in Sarasota. In the middle of a really cool residential neighborhood, you're actually a short walk - 1/4 mile! - from some of the greatest cultural gems on the Gulf Coast in the Ringling Museum and Asolo Theater to name a few. We've got a really neat coffeeshop down the street and a couple neat restaurants to walk to as well. You never have to leave the neighborhood, but we're sure you'll want to stick your toes in world-class Lido Beach about 7 miles away. Much less crowded than Siesta Beach and just as beautiful, but lets kind of keep that our little secret. St. Armands and downtown Sarasota are 10 minutes away offering casual, but also world class shopping and dining.
We travel frequently ourselves and love to entertain as well. We hope you enjoy your stay.
The property is in a residential community just two blocks away from the bay, absolutely beautiful, clean and comfortable . It has everything you need from beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella to a private courtyard with a gas grill and seating area
A few minutes away from Downtown Sarasota shops and restaurants, St.Armonds, Lido Beach, Longboat Key and Anna Maria Island, Siesta Key, Smuggler's Cove miniature golf, museums, boats, kayaks, jet ski and. SPB rentals.
The owners are very attentive and available via phone or email to answer any questions you may have.
We highly recommend this property!!!
In our first time in Sarasota, we found this wonderful home in which to explore Sarasota. The home was well equipped with everything we needed; the rooms were large enough to make it a very comfortable stay. The location next to the Ringling Museum and the New College, where there were numerous evening lectures and programs were a real plus. Daily walking in the neighborhood and ease of driving to downtown, or to beaches on Lido and Siesta Key, shopping on St. Armands Key, trips to Bradenton, Anna Maria Island and many other destinations made this a very nice location. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a single family property in a great neighborhood.
Simply a wonderful, welcoming home in which to spend time exploring Sarasota. We thoroughly enjoyed our extended stay there, and easily settled in. The home was well equipped and the owner was very responsive to any questions and needs we had. The location next to the Ringling campus served us well, whether visiting the art gallery and grounds, biking the neighborhood or to downtown, or driving to Lido Key, St. Armands Key, Whole Foods, restaurants or the many performing arts venues. We would highly recommend this "home away from home" to anyone looking for a single family property in a great neighborhood.
I couldn't have been more fortunate than to have found this property for my stay in Sarasota. The front (private) courtyard, the back deck, and the side patio made for great outdoor lounging places. The inside was luxuriously appointed and had all the comforts of home (especially the wonderful, modern kitchen). The living space is AMPLE for the 6 people the (3) bedrooms allow. The house is situated just down the street from the picturesque bay, and is convenient to the downtown area and St. Armands Key. I will definitely be making this my home-away-from-home in Sarasota!
Four of my brother in laws stayed at the house during our recent golf outing. I live in the same neighborhood so it was very convienient. The house is clean, bright and nicely decorated. They loved the washer and dryer to keep up with their laundry. the house was extremely comfortable and worked just perfect for our purposes.
We spent 4 weeks in this lovely home. If you are looking for a home away from home this is it.
The main living area and wonderful kitchen have obviously been recently upgraded -- and not on the cheap. Beautiful furniture all over the house. Great appliances in the kitchen and new washer and dryer.
Also great wi-fi service -- a must for us.
A ten minute walk to a lovely water front park and less than a 5 minute drive to the spectacular Ringling Museum.
You will not be disappointed. A postscript tho -- you might need a one step stool for the very high king size bed.
