Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads, which will be icy in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means 4-wheel drive, good tires, and chains. It is your responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions. There will be NO refunds, allowances, or date changes resulting from your negligence in this matter.
My family and I had an absolutely wonderful vacation at the Endless View cabin. The house lived up to its name and provided a perfect home base. It was clean and well-appointed; we cooked several meals there and had everything we needed in terms of cookware. All appliances worked including the TV, outdoor gas grill, and indoor gas fireplace. We had 4 adults on our trip and we had plenty of room. The location and the view simply cannot be beat; from morning coffee on the deck to evening wine by the fire pit or in the rocking chairs. And speaking of the fire pit- what a nice surprise! We discovered (that is, some friendly neighbors told us) that it had just been completed right before our stay- lucky us!
We looked forward to returning to the cabin after we spent the days hiking, canoeing, sightseeing or going for scenic drives. We especially enjoyed West Jefferson, Mt. Jefferson state natural area, canoeing the New River (Zaloo's Canoes outfitter was very friendly), and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We would most certainly return to this cabin.
One addition that perhaps could easily be made, would be screens on the bedroom and bathroom windows (not the front windows- that would detract from the view). This would have made us feel more comfortable about leaving windows open to enjoy the mountain air. Not that there were many bugs, and ladybugs and stinkbugs (both harmless) are going to find their way in anyway because that's what they do, but it would keep out the random moth. No big deal either way; it's the only constructive thing I can think to mention. :)
One last compliment I have is that I was impressed with the information we got regarding directions, gate and door codes, WiFi password, what to do with trash, check-in and check-out times, what to bring etc. The management communicated well, and there are helpful instructions in the home as well. Good communication goes a long way so this was important to me.
Thanks so much for letting us stay in your home. We hope to be back!
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Endless View cabin. The property was very clean and exactly as advertised. Like everything in life, some things were better than others.
It was fairly close to Grandfather Mountain and just a hop to the Blue Ridge Pakway, both beautiful attractions.
The kitchen was well equipped, the deck was perfect for morning and afternoon relaxing, and those views!
The pass code for the door needs to be changed regularly- we noticed it has been the same for quite some time...
The towels were linty and thin, the fixtures are spec, and the cabin needs some airing out. These are small issues. It is a great place to stay.
Those mountain views, though!
'Endless View Cabin' is just as the name describes it- there was a breathtaking endless view of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the wrap around porch, two- level porch. The house was wonderful, well stocked and complete. We had such a nice weekend with my parents and went sightseeing at Grandfather Mountain and Valle Crucis, we enjoyed the trip so much even though it was only a weekend, it felt like a week. The ambience of the house was so relaxing- We truly enjoyed this lovely house
This was a beautiful cabin! Great views and well-maintained. Even with rainy weather our first couple of days there was plenty to do. We took advantage of the local ski resorts and hiking trails. Thanks for a great weekend!
My husband and I decided to meet up with my snowbird parents in the Boone area for a long weekend while they were making their southern migration back to Florida. Endless Views looked to be the perfect size and location for our little get-away. The reservation and check-in processes were simple and efficient and the cottage was clean and well maintained with a reasonably well supplied kitchen. We cooked all of our meals at the cottage and spent most of the rest of our time exploring the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. Despite the Government Shutdown we were able to find lots of things to do in close proximity to Endless Views in the State Parks, Blowing Rock, Todd, Wilksboro, and even along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Possibly my favorite time over the weekend was simply spent early in the morning sipping coffee while catching up with mom and dad and watching the fog roll over the mountains. The mattress in the main level bedroom was a bit soft for my taste, but mom and dad reported the upstairs bed was just fine for their backs.
Perfect relaxing getaway. From the moment we drove through the private gates, we knew this was a special place.Felt very comfortable and at home in our log cabin! The bedrooms were large and very accommodating. Everything was within easy access to our cabin! The cabin was rustic and cozy yet felt very modern as well. The peace and quiet, and nature all around added to the adventure. Loved the large covered deck to enjoy those "endless views" every single sunset, truly majestic and breathtaking. Will definitely come back.
